I've been going to Little Beijing for about 7.5 years now, and I definitely prefer it over Panda Express. The portion sizes are huge, and the food still tastes great the next day. I usually order through DoorDash, but I've also been there in person. There's seating available and parking is easy. I have been ordering to go here for over a year and they have been very consistent in serving up some very tasty Chinese dishes. Their orange chicken has fresh orange flavor and the other items I have tried have all been equally fresh and delicious. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. It's a pretty Spartan environment if you plan to eat in. It's counter service and I always take my order to go and eat at home. It helps that Little Beijing is within walking distance from my home. Give them a try if you are in El Sereno and want some fast and fresh Chinese food. This was a mountain of food made from one person getting rice noodles and the other getting chow-mein and cleaning out the restaurants available chicken wings. I personally preferred the classic chow-mein over the rice noodles but was glad I was able to try both. The orange chicken was good, a little saucier than I like. The wings are the show stopper here, delicious crispy crunchy morsels of indulgence. You have to have a mean appetite to get a two item combo the portions are plentiful here. I only finished half and made a breakfast burrito with the leftovers. I would go back but get a large side of wings and shame eat them in the dark like a little goblin. Place is open enough for a small family to dine in but it's more of a take out spot. WINGS- get 1/2 1/2 spicy/regular. read more

I was checking out my local restaurants before moving out of El Sereno in July when I came across Little Beijing. Still in search of my go-to Chinese takeout place, I was excited to try it. Little Beijing isn't in the best location, as it's on a busy street in a small but busy strip mall, with a small parking lot (don't come during busy hours). The prices here are very reasonable, but I wondered if the quality of the food was directly reflecting that, or if they just weren't making food fresh as often because of the pandemic. Nothing that was sitting out on the "buffet" line looked fresh, like it had all been sitting out and slowly overcooking under the heat lamps for hours. I don't often see char siu as an option for fast food restaurants, so I opted for that as my protein in the combo that includes an egg roll, fried rice and/or chow mein, and a fountain drink for $6. The portion was very generous, and I was able to turn this meal into two and finish it on a later date. Though I wonder if I should have done that, because honestly the pork looked very questionable (pictured). The fried rice, chow mein, and egg roll actually weren't half bad, and I was glad they weren't too greasy or oily. However, the meat quality combined with the rather cold service I received from the person working on the day of my visit--especially during these tough times--made me seriously doubt that I'd ever return or recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Never tried this place , ordered from Uber eats , I got the combo with teriyaki and orange chicken (spicy) . It was more sweet than tangy but it had a kick. The teriyaki was so good and juicy , charred so well. On Uber eats there's no option for Just Chowmein , you have to choose chowmein and rice which I did not want rice only chowmein. I did put in the notes if they can just do chowmein I don't see why not. It did come with fried rice when I got it, which I was not happy about so I dock 1 star but it's ok because The boxes were filled ! It was not even closed all the way it had so much inside. Just a few strands to wrap around the fork. The orange chicken? Inedible. The walnut shrimp? Probably the most disgusting thing in Combo A. The sauce tasted like warm, sweet, mayonnaise. Even their Thai Iced Tea tasted off. Lesson learned: stick to what you know and don't order simply because they deliver quickly. There are far superior Chinese takeout places within a couple miles radius from this joint. Let's hope that my intestinal tract cooperates with the morsels that did end up getting consumed. The food here is super good especially when you factor in the price. It's been the most affordable Chinese food I've seen in LA. Granted the bulk of it is all rice or Lo mein, but over all a single portion is better for 2 people than one. Their spicy orange chicken or tangerine chicken is called general Tso chicken in New York and it is phenomenal. The black pepper pork has too much black pepper (ironic right?) but also insanely good. They do accept CC now with $0.50 charge. Not a big deal. However... Food wise... My chow mein was lacking crunch and moisture. There was very little cabbage and noodles felt overcooked and heavy. Flavors were typical of Chinese fast food. I also got the tangerine chicken and teriyaki chicken. Flavors are both were fine but I couldn't get pass that odd grainy film on both items... The tangerine chicken is breaded so it could be the fact that it's soggy that's giving it the weird powderyness? The teriyaki chicken on the other hand isn't probably suppose to be lightly breaded but I wish they kept to non breaded at all cuz it was so weird I barely touched my food... Tangerine chicken. Get it. It's spicier and tangier than the orange chicken, and it's the best thing we've ever tried from one of these Chinese fast food places. When the craving hits, it is worth a drive. Also very good are the jalapeno chicken and the spicy chicken wings. The people who operate this store are very nice, as well. February 8th, 2023 Maybe I just came on an off day.... I wouldnt come back, honestly the Blandest Chinese fast food place I've ever been to. Every entree had the same duck sauce flavor/ seasoning/ sauce. As we continued the meal, the flavors were just... indistinctive. Everything was truly seasoned the SAME. THE CHOW MEIN: Seasoned with this duck sauce flavor!! which meant it tasted like the greenbean-chicken which tasted like the glass noodles which tasted like the egg fried rice.......... : / !!!???!!???,,,,,???? Each portion got blander with every bite; not something i usually experience with a meal which usually has many seasonings. While chewing I couldnt tell the difference between the entrees I had selected. There werent enough vegetable options. At All. Just random vegetables thrown into random entrees that werent even all the way suiting... None of the vegetables had any texture. Except the zucchini, that had a rubbery texture which was hard not to notice against the mushy chicken.. I got TWO plates consisting of chow mein, glass noodles, egg fried rice, black pepper chicken, greenbean chicken, spicy orange chicken, mushroom chicken and the potatoes. Many of the chicken dishes were soggy.. the chicken was extremely tender but just a bit soggy.. perhaps overcooked. All seasoned with DUCK SAUCE! It got overwhelming because that was THE ONLY FLAVOR. SPICY ORANGE CHICKEN: it wasnt the worst, the coating was greasy and soggy but i ate every piece because it was one of the only flavorful things on my plate. I have been here twice and I get the combo A which includes 2 items and either chow mein or fried rice; I typically get half chow mein/half fried rice. Also, I love their orange chicken, it is my go-to. The service is fast and the employees are all friendly. I take the food to go but there is a decent amount of seating inside. The restaurant is surrounded by other places but it has a pretty big parking lot. I definitely will keep coming here for some cheap and yummy Chinese food. read more

I go to this place often. The food is good/decent , just comes down to your preference. Prices are alright, but it's nice to know that they tend to over serve a lot on the main plate. Sometimes I question the freshness of the food though, I would stay away from the egg rolls they didn't taste like normal ones. The workers can seem a bit standoff-ish, especially when they misunderstand you. They like to rush you too. Overall it's a decent place to go if you're a local or stopping by the area. read more
