I visited Dog Haus in Alhambra and tried the 80g Swole Chick burrito and wow, it was so good! Even though I noticed the "C" rating, I decided to give it a chance, and I'm honestly so glad I did. The burrito was warm, flavorful, and packed with great protein egg whites, grilled chicken, white American cheese, avocado, arugula, tomato, spicy basil, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. It truly lives up to the name... a bad-ass burrito! Everything tasted fresh and well put together. What really made the experience stand out was the service. Robbie, the cook and manager, created such a welcoming and positive vibe. They took the time to make sure my burrito was exactly how I wanted it and checked in to make sure everything was good. That level of care and attention really goes a long way. The place itself looked spotless, clean, and very well organized. You can tell they take pride in keeping everything maintained and running smoothly. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. Don't let the "C" rating guide your decision this place deserves a chance. I had a great experience and I'm happy I gave them mine.

This Dog Haus has fantastic food. Located in Alhambra's Main Street area, there's a convenient private parking lot. The center is a huge bar area with plenty of seats and TV screens, perfect for watching sports games with a drink. I tried two items here. The Das Brat is a solid "dog" with carmelized onion, sausage, and spicy mustard. The Fonz had amazing flavor from the spicy sausage (Italian spices I think), cheese, and pastrami as a topping. Both were around $12.99, which I thought the quality was great and the size was perfect. The service is friendly, fast, and diligent. I have no complaints! Overall, I had a great quick meal here and would definitely consider coming here to watch a sports game.

Came here for breakfast with a buddy and left very impressed. I've always associated Dog Haus with their huge beer-on-tap selection, but I didn't realize they're also putting out some seriously good breakfast burritos. We ordered the pastrami burrito and the smoked bacon one. Both were packed, flavorful, and cooked just right. Only knock is that the smoked bacon, was a little salty and most of the bacon were on the bottom of the burrito. We also added cheese tater tots and those were straight-up delicious. Parking is a breeze since they have their own free lot, plus plenty of free street parking nearby. Big win for this area. Weekday breakfast is chill and not crowded at all. Service was quick and smooth. The vibe in the morning is calm and quiet, but I've been here for lunch before and it can definitely get louder once it fills up. I'll for sure be back to try more of the breakfast burritos. Pro tip: you don't need the extra sauces like chipotle or garlic aioli. The burritos hold their own just fine.

I stopped by here after a workout and I'm seriously in love with the Swole Chick burrito. It has 80 grams of protein and it actually was delicious. It was hot, flavorful, and super satisfying. I shared the burrito with my friend with some sweet potato fries on the side. The owner was very friendly and made us feel so welcomed! Everything was good and would definitely come by again.

Tater tots, only 1/2 full, greasy, overcooked

Breakfast Burrito: greasy, eggs not seasoned, tater tots only 1/2 filled and overcooked hard! And the "hot" seasoning was grossly all on top! Not evened out. Plus, very pricey, $20 for a mediocre burrito and overfryed tots. And I just read the Nov 2025, health violations, 11 total, OMG.

Das brat (disgusting) and holy aioli burger (2x disgusting). Old onions, pasty cheese, dry patty.

I came in 45 mins before closing on a Saturday and it was dead. Not one patron by the bar and only one person in the patio. I ordered the DAS BRAT $12.99 and a HOLY AIOLI BURGER. Both were nothing but absolutely terrible. The Brat sausage had no flavor, the casing very chewy and it was slathered in low quality and old sauerkraut (No bite, no fermentation, no freshness, no zing) and enough mustard to cover the yearly Oktoberfest. All on top of sugar laden Hawaiian bread. The combination does not work. The Holy aioli burger was also nasty. The patty was so dry and chewy, it's like they reheated an old burger patty that didn't sell earlier and gave it to us because it was take out. The caramelized onions were old. This combined with the cheese and aioli made it mushy. Add the very hard bacon bits that hurt your teeth and it's a disaster. There was no texture to this except a paste on top of dry beef patties. The only decent item were the fries which were freshly made but very salty. I really wanted to like this and have it become a casual go to place for beer, bites and chill. But the food was so awful, I am almost at a loss for words. Never again.

Great staff! The restaurant is big and clean. The parking is slightly confusing but the food more than makes up for it. I like the cowboy and the hangover. It is nice that the soda is refillable.

We stopped by the Alhambra Dog Haus Biergarten on July 4th after finishing a 5K race in San Marino--a solid way to refuel and relax post-run. We've been here a few times, usually in the morning or early hours, and it's never too busy. Even during the evening hours, we've found that seating is rarely an issue, which makes it an easy go-to. There's a large parking lot with plenty of open spots, which is a huge plus in this area. The staff is always friendly and helpful, usually a young man or woman handling both the register and the bar--they keep things running smoothly even when multitasking. The bar area has plenty of seating and is surrounded by TVs showing local sports games, making it a chill spot to catch a game without the crowd or noise of a packed sports bar. Drink-wise, they've got a great selection of beers on tap, covering a wide range of styles. As for food, it's consistently really good, and I love that they've added the option to get your burger as a salad--a great move for anyone looking to lighten things up. My usual picks are one of their burritos or burgers, and a side of tots with cheese is a must. That combo never disappoints. Even though the place isn't typically packed, I do see a steady flow of pickup orders, which tells me folks know where to get a solid meal on the go. Highlights: - Spacious seating and chill atmosphere - Great beer selection on tap - Tasty food with new salad-style burger option - Tots with cheese are a must - Plentiful parking - Friendly, efficient staff - TVs around the bar for easy sports viewing If you're in the area and want good food, a laid-back vibe, and no stress finding a seat or parking, Dog Haus Alhambra is a reliable and underrated spot--whether you're celebrating a race or just grabbing a bite.

Sooo Cali sooo sad sooo disappointing. Chill vibes tho. Ordered the Sooo Cali hot dog. Disappointed in the barely there oxidized avocado slices along with end slices of tomatoes, and a few strands of depressing arugula. Poor presentation. Hot dog itself was good, but not loving how everything else was lacking. I think I'd rather get me a hot dog at Costco. At least I know it's consistent and worth the price. Overall, disappointing. Had a time hard eating it with those oxidized avocados. Appeal was overall unappetizing. I've had this before and it was not like this. Friendly and efficient service.

Takes credit card They have their own parking lot Lots of seating in door at the table, at the bar, and outside. Wide wide selection of beers from craft beers Happy Hour Mon-Fri 3-6pm Sunday 3pm-10pm $1 off sliders $2 off draft beer $2 off tots Das Brat $13- looks really nice for a picture. The bratwurst is average size. Lots of mustard. Ruben tots- the pastrami on top is a nice touch. The white cheese is creamy. BLT tots- the arugula is nice touch on top.

I don't know how long they've been doing this but I just found out that Dog Haus will turn any burger, sandwich, hot dog into a salad bowl. Game changer! I will be picking up lunch more often now. Just wish the Alhambra location had the same beer selection as Pasadena. My favorite sour (Sour Monkey from Victory Brewing) is the only thing missing from this location to make me pop in more often.

I'm super disappointed in this place. The food was so greasy. I love fried food but when fried food is cooked in old grease or not hot enough grease, it becomes more oily than anything. I really wanted to like this place but I was just so disappointed. Another thing, I ordered their canned drinks like white claw and tell me why the cans were all crushed? Also, in their Yelp photos it looks like they have milk shakes. I tried to order milk shakes and they did not offer it. I'm just a bit confused about this since their Yelp profile clearly has photos of milk shakes. This was one of the reasons I picked this place. So disappointed no milkshakes were being served.

    Thank you!! =]

Been here twice now. The hotdogs were so good. I enjoyed every bite. The service was great as well. Going to try the wings now. Hopefully, it will be just as good. Thanks!

Not sure why I was expecting to speak Chinese to order but surprisingly staff taking our order spoke perfect English with no accent. They were quite welcoming and patient while we looked through the entire menu before ordering to-go. Hot Sweet Soybean Milk - good warm temperature and comforting but not the best I've had. Tasted quite watered down. Convenient to grab if you're already here for food. Hot Sweet Soybean Tofu -really good and easy to eat. I personally like the peanuts in it, peanuts soaked up the sweet ginger syrup. Tofu is silky. They do ask if peanuts are ok when you order, you can definitely opt out if you don't like texture in your sweet tofu. Bake Sesame Bread with Beef (added pickles)- really good, sesame bread is more of a flaky pastry rather than a fluffy bun. Expect tons of crumbs but really good. Beef is tender and not dry at all. Pickles added a ton of texture another depth; sweet, salty, bit of tang. Fan Tuan always good, I usually opt to add both eggs and pickles. But if I'm not feeling too hungry I could go without egg. Green Onion Pastry -pastry is flaky and buttery. Filling was a bit saltier than I expected but good. Ham& Radish Pastry - pastry was also flaky and buttery. Filling wasn't my favorite, radish was quite tough and fibrous. Sweet Baked Sesame Pastry -perfect for kids, filling is just sugar and some sort of flour they mix with it. Surprisingly not too sweet.

*** Still cash only ***…read more It is crazy that Huge Tree Pastry continues to be one of the very few options for Taiwanese breakfast in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area other than Yi Mei and Yung Ho Cafe. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking on a Sunday morning. [Ordering]: Most customers come here for takeout despite this restaurant having dine-in tables. Our party ordered takeout in person and waited approximately 15 minutes. The lady cashier (owner?) was a bit intense but efficient. She spoke both fluent English and Mandarin. [Menu]: Stick with Yelp's top highlighted items - Salty Fan Tuan (Stuffed Sticky Rice Roll), Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake, Sweet Soybean Milk, and Radish Cake. For Salty Fan Tuan, I highly recommend maxing out all add-ons including paying extra for purple rice, egg, and pickles (Taiwanese pickled mustard greens). The same goes for pan-fried green onion pancake and adding egg. For an authentic Taiwanese breakfast experience, order Taiwanese donut (you tiao) and baked sesame bread, but expect a somewhat boring flavor profile if you decide to order either Taiwanese donut (you tiao) or baked sesame bread. *** Hot Sweet Soybean Milk (16 oz small - $2.95): Somehow the drink tasted more like unsweetened soybean milk. It was piping hot so our party had to wait 30+ minutes before drinking it. Salty Fan Tuan ($5.50 + Purple Rice $0.45 + Add Eggs & Pickles aka Taiwanese pickled mustard greens $2.00): Excellent salty fan tuan and very satisfying. Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake ($5.50 + Add Eggs $2): A savory pancake and I enjoyed this order. Ham & radish pastry ($2.25): It was cold and tasted alright - not an item I would recommend. *** Still a solid 3.5-star on food after more than a decade since my last review. It is no famous Fuhang Soy Milk from Taipei, but this is the next best experience you will get for Taiwanese breakfast given the limited Taiwanese breakfast options in Southern California.

Their dishes were really good, especially their home fries. My aunts eggs and bacon came out perfect. My omelette tasted really fresh with lots of fresh veggies, like spinach, mushrooms, and ham. The only hiccup that we had was that the food took almost an hour to come out. I think they had an issue with the ticket, and didn't get put in so it came out way later. Our waiter Fabian was very apologetic and gave us a discount on our bill. Because of the friendly service and the good food, we will definitely be back to try other items.

We got the loco moco, Portuguese sausage, and the macadamia nut pancakes. Everything together was less than $40 which feels unreal in 2026! It was more than enough food for 2 people and we had to take some home. 4 stars only because the interior and bathroom in particular are cramped and dated. It's probably how they keep their prices so low but some things could use a refresh!

Loco Moco entree: Dish was okay overall. The burger patty was dry because they formed the patty to be thicker so it doesn't really retain much of the juice or flavor. Cole slaw had more mayonnaise cream compared to other Hawaiian restaurants which was a bit bummer. Stand out regarding this dish was the veggies side, it was slightly sweet due to the miso glaze. I haven't been served glazed Hawaiian veggie dish before and it was definitely yummy. Spicy shrimp garlic lunch plate: I would say this dish is better than the loco moco in the standards to flavor. It's a must to pair with with rice because with my Asian palette it was too salty for me.

On my last visit, I sat at the bar with my husband. He ordered the breakfast sandwich, and I had the Mediterranean eggs. We both wolfed down our food, but the sandwich was way too small. It looked like it was on a grocery store hamburger bun. As my husband is 6'4", he shared the rest of my meal with me. The Mediterranean eggs were so delicious. The spicy labneh is the bomb. Also loved the little salad with pickled onions. Service wasn't bad. They were definitely packed and we waited about 10 minutes before finding seating. It was also really warm in there because it's open to the outdoors in the back. I've not been in the summer yet, but I hope they do something to cool the place when it's over 80 degrees. Wait staff were generally friendly and helpful. it was a nice time overall. They just need a bit more with the sandwich, like maybe a side salad or different bread. But I always enjoy coming because it's so lively and the food and drinks are yummy. :)

I been here 3x this month alone & I've sat at the bar on all three occasions. 1st. We were recommended french fries with our espresso martinis which hello why say no but I kid you not our food was sitting on the counter (where the food comes out) for more than 15 minutes before our server at the bar gave it to us. I had to ask them (they were talking to 3 different servers the entire time) to grab them for us lol thankfully, it was just french fries. And mind you, the fries were the only thing out so obviously they were ours. It was not busy. 2nd time I went it took extremely long for someone to come and take our order mind you there was like two people at the bar, including myself and a friend and about 3 to 4 servers behind the bar, talking to a customer and their dog, touching the dog petting the dog (gross) and overall distracted we called them over like 3 times and I swear we were being ignored! Took them over 10mins just to get us water not even counting the drinks we asked for! 3rd time I went, I know you're probably thinking why do you keep going back if their service is so bad but I'm not kidding when I said I used to love this spot. Any who I ordered food and saw with my own two eyes the food runner, wipe her sweat fix her hair and touch the food not wash her hands and not run a single thing...It was as though she was just hired to stare at the food... lol we sent it back and asked them to remove it from our bill which they did. Each and every time I go these days the service staff look like they can't be bothered and are always talking amongst themselves, which is fine but at least take my order and not make me wait 20+ minutes for some water and drinks while you're getting your chat on with people you see every day... I feel so bad saying this, but they should definitely reevaluate their protocols because the ambience this whole thing gave off was not good. I was embarrassed to say the least when my friend said he hated the recommendation. Ugh .
