Fantastic pastries! I wanted to get one of everything. The ham and cheese croissant was so flaky and buttery. It was incredible. My husband got a cinnamon roll. He said it was good but he felt it was missing icing. The crumb cake was also super good. The customer service was great! Though my matcha took a really long time to prepare, the owner (I'm assuming) was very friendly and peppy. We need that kinda energy at 8am, so I really appreciate it. The place is small but they have small tables outside for people to sit and enjoy their delicious pastries. My only complaint is that the pastries are a tad expensive. I would definitely come back for the pastries, not the drinks tho. read more

Excellent patisserie but they run out of things quick. I just love the croissant, that's probably my favorite however, I have heard the almond bear claw is delicious as well. I also feel like the service is lacking in good old fashioned friendliness but for an in-out shop I guess it doesn't matter all that much and you leave with a refined pastry. read more

I picked up my grandson from school and thought instead of the doughnut shop, I would try a real bakery. Maybe I missed all the good choices. They had peanut butter cookies, that I've made better, and some cinnamon rolls. I picked a cinnamon roll. It was small, and dry, and it cost me $5.00 and some change. Love to stop in little mom and pop shops in little towns support the local businesses. This one is open till 2 but she only makes enough to sell so if you came later she might be sold out my favorite is chocolate chip cookies and she was already sold out.. so I had a chocolate croissant flaky buttery melts in your mouth then you get the chocolate inside need to stop by here. While I was there everyone said the lemon cake was good she only had one slice left. Service was great very nice conversation. No inside seating but a few table outside to enjoy some coffee and treat. Oh she make sandwiches which people ordered while we were waiting. read more

Only a bakery could drag me out of Yelp retirement. It's been, well let's say a long time since I reviewed anything. I have been staying with my Parents in Beaumont and had a conversation with my Dad about Costco croissant and the chocolate croissants at Trader Joe's. And suddenly I remembered a bakery near them. I have had this bookmarked for so long, drooling over picture perfect pastry from semi far away. And the pastry is gorgeous.  Set up just like a protective case for rare gems. We purchased regular croissants, flavored croissants and even cookies.  Cookies are a hard sell for me because I bake pretty great cookies. But we bought them too because the girls behind the counter were so warm and welcoming and talked us through options. They talked about the busiest times and mentioned them selling out everyday. And I believe it!!! I honestly think the girls sold us on everything AND even on coming back for some savory croissants.  Long story short, keep the tip jar full because these girls were moving mountains for. So accommodating, well informed and extremely pleasant to talk to. We left with cookies I wasn't sure we needed.....but....from one Sugar artist to another, that oatmeal cookie hit the spot. To keep it simple, the bread is fantastic. We got a few different pastries and they were all excellent. The service was just as good. The man behind the counter was very courteous and gave us a rundown of all of their pastries without us even asking. The coffee I got was nothing crazy, but I didn't go there for coffee. The place is a little small but they have a few chairs outside, this isn't a restaurant and they're a small business so I'm not holding that against them. We vacationed 2 weeks in Europe earlier this year and tried numerous pastries over there and let me tell you...Mel is an amazing chef! Her pastries are as good if not better than what I tried over seas! I no longer ask the hubby to stop at Porto's on his way home because of Two Ladds. The pastries are amazing! Best place ever if you can get one. Unfortunately they are only opened for 3 hours on Saturday and if you don't get there at 8 am you will not get the pastries you want. Literally within 12 minutes they will be gone. It gets frustrating as a customer that they do not make more. I also don't understand how they can stay in business basically an hour a week. Glad I found this place. Their food is amazing!!! Ordered pepperoni panini and 3 cheese pesto panini. It was so delicious. Also got feta/spinach croissant and blueberry muffin , they were amazing as well. Only reason I gave this place 4 stars was because of lack of customer service by the receptionist. Simply fantastic! Moved to Beaumont from Los Angeles and found Two Ladds by accident. One of the true gems of Cherry Valley, i ordered two ham and cheese panini's for my wife and myself with jalapeno and pepperoncinis which were perfectly toasted with melty cheese in every bite. Sandwich is large enough for two to share btw. Also picked up a box of pastries for a lunch meeting later in the day and everything was highly praised by all. Staff are professional and well trained. Owner was thoughtful and has a passion for everything they produce. I am looking forward to my next trip to Two Ladds to try different items. read more

I forgot to leave a review on my last visit, but better late than ever. Since we moved to this area a few years ago, this is our favorite bakery. My son worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Rancho Mirage, and that is the only place that has pastries anywhere close to Two Ladds. Their consistency over the years has never wavered. In each batch, each item is perfect. Not a single item has ever been even a shade under or over cooked. The delicacy and beauty and flavor is never off. We are amazed that the taste of such technical perfection is accompanied by the love of the chef(you can tell this is a labor of love and done with joy). Staff are not welcoming and are aloof. Poor customer service. We ordered turkey , cheese and bacon panini sandwiches and were disappointed with what we received. We were asked what cheese we wanted so we asked what was available only to be told they only had cheddar. Then upon starting to make the sandwiches we're told they were out of turkey and only had ham. We waited and received a ham ( one thin slice) and cheese sandwich for which we discovered they forgot the bacon and charged us $12 per sandwich . For a bakery the bread they used came from a bag and was not freshly baked. We were disappointed in the service and the product itself. Staff were not outwardly rude but seemed to have no interest in wanting to do the job. This was a huge let down. Over priced and underwhelming. We like supporting small businesses but there's no excuse for poor service and poor product management. read more

So, if you're like me, on a long drive you avoid stops for gas or coffee that take more than 10 minutes or so. The point is to reach your destination as soon as possible and relax there, right? But this is one place that merits a 20-25 minute detour off I-10 on a loop through Beaumont. I don't know why such an accomplished baker ended up in a tiny shop in this small, nondescript strip mall. Visited this bakery for the first time and it did not disappoint! Best chocolate Crossaint ever! I also had a wonderful experience with the cashier. I asked about a croissant that was shaped like a cone because I was wondering what it was filled with and she let me know it was just a normal croissant and gifted it to me! Really made my day! I stopped by today, close to closing. I have been trying to make it over for some time now. We have been in Beaumont for about a year, and can't find any good quality bakeries or food in the area. I googled bakeries in my area and came across Two Ladds Bakery. I noticed they had Macaroons on the menu, that is why I really wanted to stop by. But they were sold out, so I picked up a Cinnamon roll, and a mango lemon scone (yummy :oP ) which were out of this world. And a raspberry pastry, and an apple pastry, that I have not bit into yet. Let me tell you the texture on the scone was so on point. And the Cinnamon Roll texture and flavor is out of this roll, it taste like a Cinnamon Roll Croissant. ... In any case I was advised to stop by Saturday mornings for their breakfast Croissants. So see you Saturday! read more
