This place smells good but looks pretty outdated. Even their menus are not professional looking and could use some vamping up. The lighting is also poor. I got the pepperoni pizza. Not my favorite in the world. It's very greasy and the dough is floppy. My husband got one of the pasta dishes and a sausage on the side. They ended up switching my husband's sausage for our friend who was eating with us (since my husband got hot and the friend got mild). But there was almost no difference either - if you're going to name something hot, make it actually spicy. Their garlic bread is good and unique. read more

Local Italian spot. They have well known staple Italian dishes such as chicken parmigiana, manicotti, ravioli, spaghetti, and pizza. We ordered the pizza and the linguine bolognese. The pizza bottom was very doughy. It was disappointing, like it wasn't cooked all the way. The linguine bolognese had sausage cooked into it. It tasted pretty good. The service was slow. I did not see a drink menu. There is a bar there, but a drink menu was not offered. I asked what the top dishes were, and the response was "everything is good". Everything was just ok. I would rate 3 stars if my pizza was not undercooked. I probably will not return. read more

She ordered a Medium Pizza of Canadian Bacon, Cashews, and Extra Cheese, but the extra cheese wound up on my Medium Pizza of Peppers, cooked Tomato Slices, Cashews, and Mushrooms. My pizza's crust was perfectly cooked; Diane's a bit burnt in one area. A House Salad with Italian Dressing was simple but good, and included Garlic Bread, superbly baked as usual. Visiting in the area, and drove by this spot a couple times thinking it was a "closed" business, as in Not in Business." MY girlfriend said, "no," they're open, and we went in to eat. Keeping it brief, had Fettucini Alfredo with shroom and shrimp, and Lasgna. Both were very good. Italian dressing on salad was so so, but not too important. Alfredo sauce had just the right texture and thickness. Sometimes it can be runny. Anyway, I suggest that the exterior be dressed up so that people know it's a great inviting place to visit. Update 5/24/2025 - Third time at Guy's and food and service is still great as last couple visits. We came for our anniversary dinner, 39 years :-). I had the Chicken Parasan, and my wife had the Shrimp Diablo. Both were very tasty and good portions. Both came with choice of soup or salad and garlic bread. A bit noisy tonight due to a birthday party in the corner table. read more

I wish I could recommend this resteraunt but I can not. They let the staff get away with disrespecting customers. I was told to "Chinga su madre!" by one of the cooks and when I went to make a complaint I was told no one could attest to what was said bc miraculously no one spoke spanish and there was no manager in the building. I will not go there again and I highly encourage everyone to dine elseware. Guy's used to be good years and years ago. We went back after a couple of years today. Mistake. It has gone so downhill. The last time we were here is was awful as well. We were hoping it got better. Terrible service, much smaller portions, salad barely had a slice of tomato...bread was burned. I could hear the cook in the kitchen yelling. We won't go back anymore. I can't believe it's still open. At least we didn't have the horrible flies this time that they usually do. Sad. Very sad. read more

Hubby and I have driven past this restaurant numerous times as we're unsure as to whether or not they were open. Since hubby's job chose this restaurant to have a holiday party, this provided the perfect chance to see what vegan friendly food was available at the restaurant. Although I had planned to see what food options they had available, since the restaurant had no website or update menu photos on Yelp, I was interested to see what meat free food options they have to offer. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by restaurant staff and quickly seated. The restaurant area where we were seated was cramped and but staff made the best of the situation, were friendly and attentive. Meat-free menu options were a house salad and a create your own pizza. After seeing the menu choices, I decided to order the house salad with Italian dressing and a small create your own pizza with green olives, black olives, mushrooms, and no cheese. Both the salad and pizza were okay. The salad was a basic salad with olives, lettuce, tomato, and radishes. The pizza was flavorful with the two types of olives but the I couldn't really taste the mushrooms and the sauce looked thin to me. Overall, the food was good but this is not a meal I'd go out of my way to have again. read more

Let me first say, I like this place. However, last night (1/10/2026 @ 6pm) my husband and I went to Guy's, we walk in and we weren't greeted. There was a young blonde girl behind the bar but she said nothing; no hello, no I'll be with you in a minute, nothing. She just continued with what she was doing (cleaning). As I watched her and proceeded to wait, I finally got up and asked who I needed to speak to to get a table and the waitress asked the blonde girl if she could help us. All this time (at least 10 mins) the young blonde girl was the person that was to seat us. This girl cleaned and set 4 tables and never acknowledged us. Finally she says, after being told to help us, I'll be with you in just a minute and proceeds to clean and set another table. To make things worse, when we walked in, there was a father and his young son waiting. I thought they were waiting for an order. Turns out they were waiting to be seated as well. Still waiting to be seated, we decided this was unacceptable and left, we went to Russo's. The father and his son left as well. I told them to go to Russo's. This is UNACCEPTABLE behavior from your employee. We will no longer be eating at Guy's. read more

Finally went to Guy's Italian restaurant. Food was good portions were good however the service was horrible. We had one server she took our drink and food order but still had to ask who ordered what. She also didn't clear the salad plates before are entrays came and the table was full of dishes. I also asked for a refill of my ice tea and never got it. So all of this considered her tip wasn't very good. Give better service get a better tip. read more

You better check your receipt to your bank account. We went for dinner on 3/15/2026 the service was terrible so we did not leave the waiter a tip, the charge showed correct amount when we checked bk acct. but the next day it was changed an $15 was added to our bill. This is theft. read more

We've been going there for over 7 years and the service has been amazing because of our waitress Amanda but today we asked for her like we always do and was told unless we were family or it's her "turn" we get whatever waitress or waiter is next. I have been coming to Guy's since high school, and sadly this is the worst experience I've ever had. I ordered two large pizzas for pickup and was told they would be ready in 25 minutes . I arrived right on time and stood at the bar counter- at least 4 employees walked by without a smile , greeting, or offer to help. I even stepped out to move my car ,came back in, and still without acknowledgment. Customers in the bar area even commented on how unwelcoming the staff seemed, saying no one smiled and that there were a lot of young employees who clearly weren't trained. After 15+ minutes someone finally asked If I needed help . I gave my name . He brought out the pizzas , i mentioned one of them looked burnt. He replied " That's the way we make it." The guests at the bar laughed and said " We miss Ruben." To make matters worse, the crust on both pizzas were rock hard, and couldn't be cut with a pizza cutter or kitchen scissors . $43.00 down the drain. Guy's used to be a friendly, reliable spot. Went there after our sons baseball game. We ordered the special. One large pizza (awesome), that comes with a great salad, spaghetti and meatballs. Big portions that we enjoyed. Lots of leftovers. So I know good Southern Italian food and Guy's is one of the best I have come across in California ever! Originally from NJ, then NYC and now San Diego, and half Italian, I can honestly say that Guy's compares to some of the great Italian restaurants I remember from the East. All the people working there are real nice and pleasant as well. I would recommend any baked pasta dish, but my favorite was Eggplant Parmesan. The Linguini Bolognese was incredible. Its a creamy tomatoe meat sauce and they throw in shrimps as well! The garlic bread is insanely good, and the Italian Wedding Soup was a good choice for a cold night. We loved the food so much, that I ended up getting to go the 2nd night of our two night trip to the area. This time we got a cheese pizza and my kids loved it! It was real good. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back when in the area. read more

This place is the best Italian restaurant in the area! The one thing I noticed was the meal comes with salad and bread at a good price. The other local Italian restaurants charge extra for the garlic bread and extra sauce. The lasagna is packed with meat, the pizza is more like New York pizza, thin crust and they will drizzle olive oil on it too. It's not a great looking place but it is clean.
