We arranged a move with Two Men and a Moving Van based off of their Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. After requesting (and receiving) a rough quote online I was contacted by their office to arrange for an on-site visit by one of their agents to walk the property and make a more detailed estimate based on our specific needs. The estimator arrived a couple minutes early for our appointment and was quickly able to make a determination based on what we were/weren't moving, that we would be doing our own packing, etc. At first I thought that the estimated number of hours was a bit high for what I anticipated the job would require but concluded that they were probably playing it safe rather than risk creating an unreasonable expectation. On the day of the move, the truck arrived a little bit late (~30m) but we had set for an early appointment and tbh we did not mind having a little bit of extra time to prepare. On their arrival I was introduced to Tim, Alex, and Mo Mo. Each of them was friendly and professional. Overall the crew was exceedingly careful with the handling of our belongings, taking care to secure and wrap items for safe transport. At one point they needed to take off a door and re-hang it in order to move a piece of furniture out of a room and I probably wouldn't have known it had happened had they not informed me. One thing I will say that is not a negative but an FYI is that the company's agreements include a warning that they cannot guarantee that pressboard furniture can be transported safely, so you sign something that says they are not liable if the cheapo stuff is damaged. Having tried to self-move that type of furniture before, I understood the hesitancy even though we have a few of those types of pieces (mostly dressers). Those survived without issue but there was one pressboard desk that basically got totaled. It wasn't during transport though. The desk was too large to get out of the room it was assembled in, and so we had to take it apart a bit to get it out of the room. The smaller parts however didn't want to hold together and so it all kinda fell apart before we could load it into the truck. We had intended to donate that piece on the way to our new house (they can make stops if you need them to, only charging as part of overall time spent) so it wasn't any loss that we were worried about, but I'd offer this advice: If you ever buy any "ready to assemble" furniture that is too big to get out of a room once you've built it, save the tools and instructions! Tear it down yourself when the time comes. Once all was said and done and all of our items were in the new house, the total time was almost exactly matching the estimate. Just a little bit less than what was estimated. All three guys worked really hard the entire time, the breaks they took were subtracted from the total time so we were not billed for it. We just had an unrealistic expectation of time. Part of it was the effort they put into protecting/caring for your belongings so they transport safely, part of it was our not realizing how much stuff you can accumulate when you live in one place long enough. Since the experience wasn't flawless I'm taking off one star, but overall I was very pleased with how everything went and have a lot of gratitude for Tim and his crew. Although I'm happy to avoid moving again as long as possible, I would not hesitate to hire them again. read more

These guys hit the nail right on the head when it comes to fulfilling every expectation one has of a moving experience (in the positive way, of course): 1. They require very little supervision. Just tell them where you want something to go, and all of a sudden you have a tower of perfectly packaged organization goodness. 2. They are great at following directions and get stuff done better than I even imagined possible on the first try. They also never got lost, even though one of my locations wasn't on Maps and required verbal directions from me. They arrived there minutes after I did, and they weren't even following me. 3. They know all the tricks and techniques of the trade, and work seamlessly as a team. This isn't some random group of dudes who think that since they're strong, they can run a moving business. These guys know what they're doing. They're professionals. They kick ass. 4. They are punctual and friendly. 5. They relieve you of a tremendous amount of stress and hard work. Moving is no longer emotionally, mentally and physically taxing! 6. They are FAST. I had two storage locations to load from, one in Federal Way and one in Kent, both of which were then unloaded at a new location in Bellevue. From there, I had them move some furniture into my apartment on the other side of Bellevue, and then we drove to Seattle for some more move-in activity. In the end it had all taken barely over four hours. 7. They are flexible. Though I know that they will keep to their schedule for the sake of other clients, if you need to start two hours earlier or later or whatever, and their schedules allow it, they'll do it for you. I switched times on them Saturday night for the move on Sunday morning, and they quickly got back to me to confirm they could oblige. They also waited patiently as I opened and closed accounts with storage units. If I had been as quick as them, they'd have finished the job even faster! 8. They're honest. They are very clear from the beginning about what fees you'll be paying. They don't swindle money out of you for extra little things. They also don't spring anything on you after the job is finished. Honest pay for honest work. Quick, simple, straightforward. This being said, after moving four times over the last two years in the Puget Sound area, and dealing with everything from quite bad to actually pretty reasonable moving crews, I know hands-down who I'll be going to for all my future moving needs. ***UPDATED*** After posting this review, the company reached out to me stating they were submitting my pictures for review, which leads me to believe that they didn't review them the first time. I was initially offered the 5% discount/refund that was offered if I wrote a 5 star review before service was complete. As my issue was a repair of the door jam, this was unacceptable to me. I countered back with what I believe to be the cost of repairing the damage done by the movers, and they finally agreed to it after about a week of going back and forth via email. They have requested that I delete the review but I never agreed to that but will update the review to show that there was resolution but not without extra work that shouldn't have been needed. Updated TLDR: Movers damaged wall. I was ghosted when trying to get it fixed. A 1-Star review generated interest in them and they contacted me. After going back and forth, they agreed to my fee to fix the problem myself. I still believe that they are essentially paying for reviews by offering discounts before the work is complete. TLDR: Movers damaged wall of apartment and have failed to rectify the situation. CAUTION: Company texted offer of discount for 5 star review if completed BEFORE the move was completed. This was sent while still packing the home. When moving furniture into new apartment, the movers damaged (took chunk of wood out of) the door trim. I watched the movers quickly pick up and pocket the broken piece off the floor. Once the move was complete, I asked about the damage and was told that they put it in their system and a supervisor would reach out to me the following week to fix. After a three weeks when that didn't happen, I messaged them with the photos and was emailed saying they would get back to me. And now, two weeks later, still haven't reached out to me in order to rectify this. read more

What a wonderful moving company! We couldn't be happier. We moved today from University Place out to 5 private acres in Port Orchard - a distance of about 15 miles. We did much/most of the "box by box" moving, just because we are able and all that small stuff and box packing adds up time for movers. No, we wanted strong burly lads to haul HEAVY stuff - recliner-sofas, oak desks, laundry machines, furniture. All the stuff I can no longer move without killing the furniture or myself. Every step of the process was great - from the initial phone query, right up to the sign-off and their departure. Our crew was Oroz - super enthusiastic young guy who talked with us the whole way about how we wanted things; Kadyr, the team Foreman, kept things moving super smooth, and Nurik who provided a ton of "oomph" along the way. They worked very fast but took great pains to make everything be safe, and move effectively. They worked as a team to figure out the tough stuff, like a big game of Jenga - figuring out all the angles. In some places it wasn't easy but they still worked it out. They were also very meticulous to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted. They never made us feel bad for moving something to a different spot or angle. At one point, Oroz saw me with a box heading to my own car and he just grabbed it and ran it over to the car for me. They never once got impatient with us or ever seemed annoyed. We also felt their fees were very reasonable - we shopped around and these guys are very competitive, without a bunch of hidden "add-on" fees like some of the others. We felt their time accounting was totally honest and fair in every way. This was my 21st move in my life (I'm 56) but for all the times I've had professional movers, these guys were the best and I'd use them again in heartbeat. I wish I had the option to give them more than 5 stars! This entire team was awesome from start to finish and I seriously cannot say enough good things about them. The closing date on our new house kept moving and so I was having trouble booking a moving company because I was trying to do so on short notice and that's almost always a bad idea. I was nearly in tears because every moving company I checked with was unable to help. Then Elena reached out and said they had availability and to call or text. I took a chance and text. It was after hours and she stuck with me to answer my questions and to help with the booking. She was available bright and early the next day to answer questions too. Day of the move, a team of three, Maha, Toby and James arrived to find a POD in my driveway courtesy of the soon to be new owners. (Who should not have done this without prior authorization, btw, because it wasn't their house yet) They did not bat an eye when they had to park on the street and move everything several feet further. They were great communicators, asked questions when needed and took great care with our belongings. The truck was filled and ready to go and we got word there was a hold up in getting access to the new house. The team waited patiently for the situation to be resolved (which ended up being the next day and was handled beautifully by their boss, Oscar). They were truly professional and courteous the whole time. Every stage of this transaction was a true pleasure. My husband and I are so grateful things turned out the way they did and we happened upon "Two Men and a Moving Truck". I HIGHLY recommend them for all your moving needs. I was in a tight spot. One moving company cancelled on me with no real reason and another just didn't answer their phone or email, but Two Men and a Movin Van were prompt and courteous with their responses. On Yelp it was very easy to get in contact with them to request an estimate. Paul was able to follow up with me within 20mins to give me a viable contact number and talk more in depth about my moving needs. A deposit was given over the phone and at the end it went to paying the moving services. I was able to communicate what exactly needed to be moved. I was sent an email confirmation of the services, their rate, about how long it would take to move and the estimated total via email with instructions for moving day. Ron was able to ask follow up with me via text the day before to remind me what time approximately the guys were coming over to start moving. Soon enough moving day came around with Tim and El being good natured about my home being in such a disheveled state. They asked me what items were a priority prepared with packing items and were able to quickly assess how to get my items over to my new place efficiently. In all, it took about 3.5hrs up and down stairs, but they worked hard and were able to assemble my things back together with no damages whatsoever. They cleaned as they went along so no plastic or trash was left behind. Any items they took apart all the screws were accounted for and nothing was lost in the transition. I wasn't able to decorate or get into the spirit for the holidays because of the move, but now I'm definitely settling in and feeling the holiday spirit! Thank you Tim and El! Wow! These guys take good care of your stuff! Every piece of furniture and appliance was carefully wrapped with moving blankets and arrived completely un-scuffed or scratched. They disassembled and reassembled large fragile furniture expertly (my huge metal bed frame and glass media center), transporting the large sheets of glass sandwiched safely in thick cardboard. They even figured out a way to pack a 4 ft tall fragile wooden sculpture in such a way that I had no worries about it in the truck. They are not cheap at all, but you do get a level of care that I think does reflect the additional cost. If you have very nice furniture you want to keep nice and have the money to spare, these are the guys to go with. If you want to save money and don't mind if your stuff gets a little scuffed up, I'd look elsewhere. I give them bonus points for not complaining one bit when my move ran overtime and we had to stay till 10pm, through a literal hailstorm that started mid-move (Seattle weather... am I right?), or when I couldn't get either building to lock down an elevator for the move and they had to wait every time for it to be called. Note: The guy's phone is pretty quiet when you call and it can be really hard to hear him with the noise of the truck, but he's really nice and easy to talk to in person when he does arrive. Second note: Their fancy website asks you to write down every single item you intend to move. They used this inventory exactly 0 times. If you fill it out, do it for you (it can be nice to think about just to get a handle on things when you unpack), but don't expect it to be necessarily useful. read more

Gosh, where do I begin to express my gratitude, appreciation and level of comfort I developed for this company, in a very short week, of getting to know and hire them? Since I don't want to write a novel, I'll get to the main points as to why everyone should hire these people/company for your next moving experience: From the sweet and compassionate office personnel, Elena, to the three extremely hardworking, kind, understanding, tenacious, efficient, and careful three gentlemen, Jim, John and Islam, they put this very stressful, overwhelmed, over-cautious (regarding family heirlooms and antiques) and tired old lady (me!) at ease with a move from Washington to Oregon, all in one day! They were incredible and astonishing and remained professional, all at the same time. They were on time. Did not charge me for their meal breaks and kept checking in with me, via text messages, before and during their hired hours. And can we talk about their mad packing skills for a second?! "Tetris" Experts! They also bubble/blanketed/plastic wrapped my antiques and especially took wonderful care of my most beloved belonging - my grandfather's 114 year old high chair. I needed to move the same day and I was panicking. Here comes 3 young men to the rescue with their truck. He three amigos Rain, Sam and Arsen the one that looks like a linebacker physically. I was very happy to see them around 3:00pm. After a short introduction or you can say my instruction of what I wanted to move they quickly got on their way. These guys were moving so fast, I said to my self "no way they are working per hour". Almost got runover by one of the them because I was moving around the house too slow. I was so impressed, I decided to study their every move. They were working in such strength and unison like Bruce Lee in enter the dragon. Finally the panic attack was over. I can relax now because they wouldn't let me touch anything in the house. They said they got it and I believed every word. I knew I was in good hands. All of a sudden, I stopped worrying about the cost of the move per hour which was $189.00. The way they worked, was worth $250.00 per hour. I was sad to see them leave. 2019 - Amazing! From start to finish, this team is exceptional! Aside from talking about how efficiently the team packed my house, and moved it all from 5000sf (including garage) to 1700sf+storage, all over 2 days....wow! The team: Alex (Leader), Viktor,Bek,Robert,Aladin, and William. Let's consider some of the other distinguishing experiences: courtesy and authentic manners. Are these guys trained in hospitality as much as the art of moving? Wow, I rarely come across such solid and authentic customer focus. Did I mention polite? Wow, these guys are all super nice and polite. Ok, the best part: my stuff got moved by an exceptional team, in an efficient time frame with safety and preservation in mind. Alex was a great team leader, and there are positive things to each of the crew who contributed to my move. I had to move for work from Tacoma to Everett last March. Talked to a couple different moving companies and then talked to Paul at this company. First off, they were the only place that start the move time when they arrive and end it when they leave. Most other places start the time when they leave their warehouse and don't stop it until they return there, wherever that may be - who wants to pay for the truck to possibly sit in traffic for who knows how long after leaving your house?? These guys' rates are amazing and they made it so easy! They got everything loaded at my old house, drove to my new house and unloaded everything within the quoted time. I just stood back out of the way and they took care of everything. At the new house, we just had to tell them where to take things and again, stand back out of the way and watch them go. I can't believe how much they got done and how quickly with just the two of them. They were fast, friendly, professional and just all around great to work with!! I recommended them to a friend of my father when she needed movers and she was just as pleased with them. My work office is now getting ready to move to a larger office and I told the person coordinating the move to call these guys so we will probably be using them for our office move.
