We miss two Items ONE 55" SAMSUM AND AN ACRYLIC BASE to display artwork not to mention the broken dishes and glasses for the kitchen. They said they had an accident with the TV which was never packaged or protected and they scratched it and it will be replaced the next day, never showed us the TV or a photo or asked us to check the truck. We asked about the acrylic they said they will bring it upstairs, they took the tip, left, and never come back neither with the "scratched TV" nor with the acrylic base" After 8 days of calling without results there is a guy offering us $200 for the two missing items. When you sign the document, if you don't read it, this is where they get you. After they packaged my home and drove everything to the new house, less than 1 mile away, I got a bill for $1700. They said they started charging money the second they leave their yard and it was about 2 and a half hours of drive time. They also charged me for packaging my TVs which I did not do as I did not really care for them. They also charged me an extra $200 because they said the couch was over 200 pounds when it was not. The man claimed they had a waiting list, which they didn't as several rooms in the unit were vacant and had been for some weeks. My husband had passed away 9 days prior. We hired Two Men and a Truck to move us from a condo in Miami to a condo in Riviera Beach. The company significantly underestimated the complexity of the move and the time it would take. We ended up having to stay in a hotel for three nights while the company stored all our belongings--not planned. Many pieces of wood furniture were damaged, a TV screen was broken, and the canvas of an oil painting was torn in several places. All we were offered to compensate us was $200 from the insurance, after a $500 deductible. Two Men and a Truck did not stand behind their service or answer to their shortcomings. Moving day arrived and terry, hector and reggie showed up after giving us a call. Worked nonstop putting our stuff inside their truck. We rented clothes boxes from them thinking that we would put the clothes inside them, but no, they did everything. We had packed up most of the house but still, it was a welcomed surprise. Hired these guys to move an apartment from Aventura to Jensen Beach. They were right on time at 8 am and the condo made them wait an hour as a food truck was parked in the loading zone. I dislike writing unfavorable reviews. I used Two Men and unfortunately, I had my floors scratched in my new home as they did not properly line the floor (not even cardboard, I had to tell them 20x). My walls were also damaged as well as my closet. Whereas I understand moves are difficult, what infuriates me is the way my claim was handled. Alan, the Manger offered me $200 for the damages, which doesn't even cover one wall. He then ghosted me. If you value our items/stuff; go somewhere else. I initially selected Two Men and a Truck as I have used them for my last move and had a great experience. The scheduler provided great communication and was very responsive of any questions. Additionally, the two movers who showed up to perform the move were awesome. Very professional and worked very efficiently. Since I had a great experience I figured I would use Two Men and a Truck again. I did not even bother shopping around with other companies. I ended up calling a location in Miami Lakes and spoke with Julian Montalvo. He seemed very enthusiastic on the phone and I ended up scheduling a move with him for 12/13/14 for around 2pm. He mentioned the movers had another move that morning and they might show up a bit earlier or later depending on how long the move in the morning takes. However, he assured me he would be in constant communication with me throughout the day. This couldn't be any further from the truth. On Saturday, I was at my apartment arranging a few items and packing up the remaining items that were left out. Since I have a garage I moved my project car out of the garage and assembled all the items in the garage to the middle to facilitate the movers. By 2:20pm I did not hear from Julian as expected nor anyone else so I called and left a message and sent an email asking for a status. I again called and emailed at 3:33pm asking for a response. Still nothing. Here I am sitting in a packed up apt frustrated and annoyed waiting to hear something, anything from someone. The clock kept on ticking and and now it was 5:30pm and I called again and left another message and did not hear back. I think any person would be extremely disappointed and frustrated at this situation. What made this even more of a problem for me is that I flew in from DC to Miami for this move and I was flying out again the next day. Well around 6:45 I finally get a call from Jason (a mover) who mentioned that he returned to the office to drop off the truck and he found my paperwork and wanted to call me. I can not express how awesome Jason was. He assembled a team and a truck and came out personally on Sunday to facilitate my move. I communicated that I had a flight out that afternoon and he even came to me a little earlier to make sure the move would be complete in time for me to make my flight. Again the only saving grace in this entire situation was Jason. I currently am at a crossroads now. I am extremely unhappy with Julian and his lack of communication and poor scheduling. However, Jason could not have done a better job. So if someone were to ask me if I were to use Two Men and a Truck again or would I recommend them? I don't know yet. What was extremely frustrating was that I lost most of my Saturday sitting around an apt waiting for the movers to show up and then having to go back to my garage move everything back again so I could fit my car back inside. Then on top of that all the plans I had to meet up with a friends since I was in town on Sunday had to be cancelled. I ended up emailing Two Men and a Truck Corporate and I got an email within a few hours stating the following: "Thank you for taking time to share your concerns regarding your move with the Miami Lakes, FL TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise. Your email has reached TWO MEN AND A TRUCK/INTERNATIONAL, Inc. corporate headquarters located in Lansing, Michigan. I have forwarded your information to the franchise and a member of their management team will contact you to determine the next steps. I apologize this situation occurred and thank you for bringing it to our attention." It has been a few days now and still not one person has contact me back to discuss this. Also, I still have yet to receive one call or email back from Julian. So that means the last time I spoke with him was last week on Dec 10. read more

This of course is all due to the fact of one being in control of the group of guys who came to move a ton of furniture, and fragile electronics. With one being in control and the others following, the move went very fast. 4 hours fast but still fast to where there was no over time. We were scheduled for between 12 and 1pm. They showed up at 3:15pm and only because I went ballistic on them. My mothers lease was up that day and we were moving her into assisted living. Not only did they go out of their way to accommodate me with the schedule issue, they sent out three of the most professional guys to do the work. I did pay for them to pack my stuff as well before moving it into storage. They treated my stuff with extreme care as if it was theirs. They were on time and got the job done in record time. Booked my move with Julian over the phone. I asked him about the negative reviews directly about him on yelp and he explained what happened and I decided to give him a chance. He was very professional over the phone. Moving day came and three guys showed up with no intent to protect our home or furniture. Furniture, walls, wood floors- all destroyed. I was closing the next day and spoke to Daniel the Operations Manager and he had two guys out to fix the damage that night. Over a week later and I am still waiting for a follow up call from Daniel to see if everything was fixed to it's original form and if I was happy with the repairs. The only reason I didn't kick the movers out of my house was because half the truck was full with boxes and I was closing 12 hours later. If not, it would have been different. Amateur movers. despite my advising the salesman at this company who arranged my move that i last moved with at least 100 boxes they showed up to pack wit only 60 boxes so everything fell apart after that. I live in a condo and moved to a condo so the elevators must be scheduled. due to the mistake of shorting the number of boxes needed we ran way behind schedule. Worse is that they did not even label the boxes despite my asking them multiple times to do so. only one piece got broken and the company dispatched someone to fix it and he made all kinds of promises about how they would do better the next time etc and to just give them a chance. He even had the nerve to ask me to change my online review to help him out since he would personally make sure my next move went well. Then a month later when it was time to arrange my next move he did not return my calls, emails, or texts. now he claims he never got my messages. Despite moving me already the next estimate read as if they had no idea who i was or what they had moved. plus the price was outrageous and turns out twice as high as the company i hired instead. I used Two Men & A Truck for a move on short notice this week, and they did a great job of moving everything I needed (basically a one bedroom apartment). They were on time, courteous, careful with my things, yet able to move very quickly. In previous moves with other companies I've had a few things slightly damaged, but not the case with these guys. I've used Two Men and a Truck twice before to move my business and they a great job. For those moves, I used the Miami location. I recommended to my wife that we use them for a personal residence move, so she reached out to the Hallandale Beach location. She was quoted without anyone visiting either home. The move was done with a truck too small with therefore required storage of our belongings over the weekend because our tower doesn't allow weekend move-ins. Property was damaged during the move, the office manager was a complete ---hole and we had to get the regional manager involved. To make a long story short, we would NEVER use them again. read more

I have never received such personal care, starting with Darcell Ballentine, who came to our apartment to do an estimate, to Adriene Smith, who was always helpful and positive when I called with questions. I was also very appreciative of Travis Kules who would call while the movers were at our apartments to see how things were going. The movers were on time, which in my experience is unusual for moving companies. They were very professional and got down to business. They handled my grandfather's antique table with "Kid Gloves." I am extremely disappointed in the way that upper management handled the claim for the repair (or lack thereof) two pieces of furniture that got damaged by the movers. The first one was a desk hutch which was dropped and broken (there is no repairing it, needs to be replaced - cost $200) and the second a credenza which was taken off the truck on a dolly that bounced off the ramp as it made it to the bottom and 2 legs got partially damaged (cost for repair is unknown). The movers told me to contact their manager (Danny) and that he would take care of filing a claim. Upon the movers' arrival, I signed and accepted their $0.60 per pound insurance option given that the second option was an additional $350 for full coverage which I denied. As we all know, a move comes with many expenses and any additional insurance is sometimes unfortunately waived. The move itself was coming out to $1,280 and another $350 would have been completely out of my budget. Two men and a truck came with very high recommendations from a very picky friend and the last thing I expected was for the movers to lift a desk without checking to see if the hutch was attached and for a dolly rolling down a ramp with an 85 lb. credenza to be let go when it got close to the bottom causing it to literally bounce off the ramp. This poor review goes with mix emotions as the movers did a good job but lacked care in moving these two items. The review is mainly focused with upper management (Manager Danny) and their poor judgement in resolving the issue appropriately. Granted, I did accept the $0.60 coverage per pound (total of $120) which they have yet to reimburse me based on weight of two pieces but I find it very unreasonable and clearly not enough to replace my $200 hutch and repair the legs of a $1,000 credenza. I would have honestly thought that given they don't really advertise and gain most of their business from referrals and reviews, that they would have reconsidered my claim and at the very least, reimburse me for the full $200 to replace the hutch, however they decided to stick to the weight and go by their signed contract. In a world were referrals weigh more than a signed piece of paper, two men and a truck has gained a poor review for a mere $80. I would not and will not recommend them to anyone. If you do decide to use them, go ahead and spend an additional $350 on top of the cost of your move and then hope and pray that if something does get broke, they actually replace the piece and not partially reimburse you. My move was a disaster from the beginning. The price was under estimated by 50%, the truck leaked in a rain storm and a mattress was ruined as well as about 20 boxes were soaked. I purchased the additional insurance for the move and the company has refused to replace a mattress that was completely soaked due to their negligence. They instead offered to steam clean the mattress that was soaked or to pay $200. To add insult to injury, when I disputed the charge with the credit card company, this company's reply was an outright lie. I would not recommend this company for your move. read more

I am not a customer but my new neighbors used this company to move. I arrived at my house today to see that two trucks were completely blocking my driveway and my wet lawn had been driven on. The movers gave me bad attitude but agreed to move the trucks. After 30 minutes, I saw they moved the truck off of my lawn but were still completely blocking my driveway! Having 2 small kids with me, I decided to not fight and left my car on the guest spot. They didn't move the trucks until my husband came home 3 hours later, to whom they were even worse. read more
