As a Wheel of Time fan, when my boyfriend discovered there was a restaurant called Two Rivers in the area, it went on our ever-growing list of restaurants we'd like to try. Happily, we received a gift card from his sister last Christmas. We FINALLY got around to using it this past Sunday. We tried for my birthday, but that fell on a Monday and they were CLOSED. I find this surprising, considering the amount of televisions in the restaurant. I would think Monday Night Football would be a big draw, but what do I know about running a business? It was busy, but we were seated right away. There were several large groups seated around us, but the ample staff didn't seem to have any issues getting the food out to them at a reasonable time. I certainly didn't hear any grumbles. But then again, it is quite loud in the restaurant, with the televisions and the music and the overall murmur of conversation. Our waiter, John, was attentive. As appetizers we had chicken fingers with fries and shrimp & Grits (Five jumbo shrimp sautéed with andouille sausage, tasso ham, fresh garlic, white wine, and lemon butter sauce, served over smooth cheddar cheese grits.). Both were great. The chicken fingers are delightfully crispy. The Shrimp & Grits were a mind-opener for me. I have tried shrimp & grits at other restaurants and never liked them. These came highly recommended by a friend, and they were right. Every bite of this bowl was cheesy and comforting. NOW I understand why so many people enjoy grits. For our entrees my boyfriend got the Dena steak, and I got fish tacos. Let me just get this out of the way... The tacos (Three soft tacos filled with grilled fish, fresh guacamole, red onion, cilantro, and cheddar jack cheese blend with a lime-cilantro slaw, served with basmati rice (no french fries).) were not good. This is why I am docking them a star. First off, the basmati rice is just a lump of plain rice. I knew even before I ordered that I wasn't going to eat it, but my boyfriend had considered ordering rice as his side. I convinced him to order something else, so he could eat my rice. We ended up bringing it home, and he ate it mixed with some leftovers we had at home the next day. The nondescript "grilled fish" isn't really seasoned much either, leaving these tacos to rely on the onion and slaw to carry the flavor. Unfortunately, there isn't nearly enough slaw on these tacos to assist in the flavor or the texture. The tacos came with a tremendously awful salsa. I brought the tacos home and fixed them up with my own hot sauce and sour cream. Also, oddly enough, they're better cold. The Dena is a Market Price brick of meat that is astounding to behold and delicious AF. I have never seen such a large steak in person, and the cook on it was glorious. Just wow. If you can afford it ($85) and are a steak lover, go for it. You're going to be delighted. The garlic mashed potato side left a lot to be desired, though. My boyfriend loved the side Caesar salad, though. So, as far as sides go - fries and Caesar salad were the best. Oh, and those rolls that come to the table before ordering? YESSSSS! A wonderful dinner. And I'm starting to really dig these dinner dates with just my boyfriend. We couldn't afford to go out much when we first started dating. Price was average. Wait staff was inexperienced, but attentive. I'm not sure why the wait staff theses days think they can serve entrees before clearing the empty cups and appetizer dishes. Our wedding reception was held at Two Rivers on June 21st, and it couldn't have been better. Our event planner, Danielle, was outstanding in her communication, organization, and just going above and beyond to make our event the best it could be. Our guests complimented the ambiance, food, and service all evening. The servers and bartender were hustling all night and took excellent care of us and our guests. The food was off the hook as usual for Two Rivers, and their chefs deserve their own cooking show on the Food Network. When it came time to celebrate my parent's birthday, they wanted to go to one place: Two Rivers. We came in on a Monday around 5pm. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was about half full. Our server came over about a minute later to take our drink and appetizer order. We ordered: - Buffalo Steak Bites appetizer (Cajun spiced beef tips, Buffalo sauce) with blue cheese dressing and celery: This is one of my favorite appetizers here. The buffalo sauce has a great kick. - Two Rivers Crab Dip appetizer (jumbo lump crab) with toasted baguette: The dip was piping hot. There was plenty of crab throughout and it had a great taste. We order this every time we come. - 8oz Filet Mignon with Jumbo Lump Crab topping add-on, with green beans: My dad loved his meal. His steak was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. He opted for the jumbo lump crab topping add-on and it did not disappoint. There were huge chunks of lump crab. He loved the green beans and thought they were seasoned perfectly. - Caribbean Cobb Salad (grilled jerk chicken, mixed green, avocado, tomato, cheddar, red onion, carrot, bacon, croutons) with blue cheese: This salad was huge. Everything was fresh. I wish I received more chicken. There were four small cut up strips of chicken. It was a tiny chicken breast for a huge salad. - 12oz Ribeye with roasted red potatoes: My mom enjoyed this. The steak was juicy. The potatoes were seasoned as she liked. Overall, we had great service and a great meal. We are never disappointed and can't wait to return. read more

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant on a Friday night. I read the reviews prior to coming and understood that they are typically busy. When we got there we were greeted upon coming into the restaurant. We had a 45 minute wait which was to be expected. Once we sat down we were greeted immediately our server was great, she went over the specials and was very knowledgeable. We started with the mussels cooked in garlic butter which were amazing. Our entrees were the coffee rubbed ribeye with two sides and the ribeye with two sides. Everything was cooked to perfection. The drinks were nice. This is a great affordable restaurant with a wonderful menu and many to choose from. All of the staff were friendly and showed hospitality at its finest. My family absolutely loves this restaurant. They come here at least monthly I believe. The food is cooked to order, so accommodations can be easily made. There is a big glass window when you walk in that allows you to see the chefs cooking the different meats. The service was exceptional and so was the food. Regardless of how many people are in the restaurant, you can still hear your party and the music is not too loud. We will surely be back sometime in the near future. read more

My friend and I worked up an appetite and he devours this place. The restaurant is very cozy and definitely a date night spot or a place to watch football. This place was yummy! First time visiting on the night we came and it was an outing to celebrate my father in law's birthday. It was a small drive but nothing too crazy! We walked right in and were seated immediately! The first thing that stood out to be about this place was how much it made me feel like I was in a casino or just in a small little town! Very great decor. Between the food and the drinks, everything was very delicious! Food was hot and fresh and the plates were a nice size as well. Our service was great and our waiter was very attentive. He made sure to come back and check on us often. He fell off on checks a tiny bit once we got our food which is the reason for the 4 stars. It was hard to get condiments and extra items when he stopped coming! All in all, I'd definitely return to this place again in the future! We had a party for my Mom's 90th birthday at the Two Rivers Reserve room this past weekend. The service was amazing, the room is huge and able to accommodate a large group. Everyone loved the food, and the cake and desserts were absolutely scrumptious! Danielle made the whole process so easy, even doing this remotely from out of state. From booking the venue to picking the meals, music options, bar service, etc. it was seamless and the whole family had a great time. I didn't have to think about anything, it was all done. Previously went for a birthday dinner and the food was just okay. I got the chicken Chesapeake. The chicken it's self was a bit dry and overcooked and the filling which was advertised a crab meat was just mostly cream cheese and oldbay with a few pieces of what seemed to be crab. What a nice choice for dinner. The inside is very similar to The Original Steakhouse restaurants. I don't know the history but it is eerily similar. Love the way the restaurant is laid out. The bar is separated and there are plenty of televisions to watch your favorite game. Our server was exceptional. Not only was she friendly and engaging, she was genuine which is hard to find. On Saturdays we held my daughters bridal shower at The Reserve at Two Rivers Steak & Fish House. The venue was wonderful. The food superb and the staff, bartender, two servers and Danielle, the Event Coordinator, did a wonderful job! We had the Brunch option with full bar. We needed to have gluten-free options and they accommodated this with issues. I highly recommend the Chicken Pomodoro, it was fantastic. If you visit this restaurant, ask to sit in the section where Femi is working. Femi was our waiter Sunday when my wife and i went for dinner. He is everything that you would want in a waiter. From the first welcome to bringing the check, Femi was professional, courteous and respectful the entire time. Nowadays it is increasingly difficult to find customer service the way it is supposed to be, Femi will reset your expectations.
