Two Robbers was the highly anticipated third date, with the artist that sparked my own creativity. This was big- it's the date that confirms there's connection and takes things out of the bar scene... to the bedroom, or at least a second location. And while the smash style burger was good- it left a lot of imagination and a yearning for more substance. Metaphor? Perhaps. The delivery was creative- arriving on a metal cafeteria style tray, cut in half as requested, with the most delicious fries and a spicy dipping sauce. Kinda like the delivery of the dreaded "I'm just not ready" convo, over a bucket of seltzer cans. Not ready? For this? (Draws hands up and down body as I'm spicy myself no sauce needed). The cheese to meat to bun ratio was ok, I'd prefer a nicer bun but given the locale and prices it would have been too much. Even the most thinly sliced raw onions were a nice touch. I should have enjoyed them more and not picked some off since there wasn't a full blown make-out session on the agenda. And while the convo should have been uncomfortable- like the ridiculous metal low back barstools we sat on, it wasn't. It was genuine, it was honest, there were laughs, there's no animosity. Is this what healthy dating and maturity is?!? Sometimes timing just doesn't work. Sometimes a man turning 41 wants to wait and see what else is out there. Sometimes I can be a lot. Sometimes a third date 1/2 burger is where things end. Speaking of ending: walking to my car with the most sweet and extra-carbonated fountain Coke to go, with a bendy purple straw made sense. The perfect ending to a nice rejection, because how much more childish could one night/man/date be? Would I date it? No. Would I go back for the fries? Every time.

Two Robbers in fishtown offers a relaxing vibe offering great cocktails and smash burgers. The menu is fairly offering burgers and fries but everything was delicious. Offering delicious fresh beef and toppings. They also have their own vodka setzlers you can purchase at their restaurant. Service was great and didn't have to wait too long for a table on a Saturday night. A great spot to get burgers and have a drink in fishtown. It also features a great big patio to enjoy on a day with great weather.

Two Robbers has a really nice ambiance. The space is aesthetically pleasing and the vibe is laid-back. The menu is simple, with tasty staples that are perfect for a casual meal. We both got the Two Robbers smash burger served with fries. The fries were delicious and the burgers were satisfying and cheesy. I love burgers so I'm a little biased, but this was a really good one. I also ordered a vodka soda that was fresh and crisp, super refreshing. I definitely want to come back during happy hour because the deal is dope. Our servers were nice and the service was quick and attentive.

Service was not the greatest. We were seated promptly but after 15 minutes of being sat we had to wave someone down to get a server. Still took an additional 10 before anyone came over. We both order a smash burger with fries. Excellent burger and fries!!! Also ordered their world famous martini and the old fashion. Very unimpressed. Stick to the vodka sodas and beer when coming here. Overall the ambiance and outdoor seating is what made the restaurant appealing but the food and drinks were just okay.

Awesome deal during happy hour! 4-6PM. $10 for a burger and ton of fries. $4 for the canned seltzers- pineapple one was really good. We added an extra $6 to make my order loaded fries. The smash burgers were delicious, crispy edges!

Really cool place, the overall experience was great. Do I think the food is overpriced for what it actually is ? Yes. The drinks were great & it's a good spot for a Friday night meal!

I mostly came here bc they were collabing with a coffee shop I enjoy, however, I feel like it just didn't hit the spot. Nothing was bad, but nothing really wowed me. Che Thai drink - need to have crushed ice. I was unable to get any of the fruit. The liquor they used also was pretty strong tasting so it threw it off a bit for me Scallop crudo - tasted fresh but a tad bland. Salmon kho - this was my favorite of all the dishes we tried. Flavorful. I would probably come back to try their standard menu esp since they got such great reviews.

Got sat right away with 2 at 6:30 on a Friday. Service was fast, drinks were delicious, and food was hot and tasty all for a good price. Plenty of outdoor seating. They don't take reservations but if you get here early in the night or right at the start of happy hour at 4 you should be alright.

Absolutely love the owners, the staff, the vibes, and the smash burger. This place was my freaking spot when I lived in Fishtown and the design is great!

It's the absolute best smash burger I have had here in Fishtown! If you come during happy hour, it's $10. The fries are also incredibly good--the ones that are fried twice, crispy outside and heavenly inside--drool! And then there's Chandler, one of the best bartenders we've ever had. She is friendly and knowledgeable and never forgets a name or a drink you like. The outside space is vast and great for groups. I almost didn't come here the first time as I'm not a fan of hard seltzer or seltzer in general, but don't let that stop you. They have a great bar bites menu, higher-end cocktails, beer, etc. It's such a chill environment that you'll come back, as we have, again and again! Family-friendly, too!

Cocktails were great! The menu was limited but that didn't slack on the flavor. The spicy fish sandwich was so spicy but so good! I can't wait to go back

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. Even with that, they stayed polite, friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating to the guy carrying around a mannequin. Great visit to Sassafras!

I got there on Wednesday around 6 and there were only a couple of customers at the bar. I almost left because I didn't see any employees. Finally someone came out to greet me and seated me in the middle are. He had to put some paper at the bottom of the table because it was a bit wobbly. A lot of choices in the menu. I ordered guacamole and chips for appetizers and it came out right away. The chips are fresh and not stale. Good amount of guacamole. Street corn aka elote. The corn is juicy. Unfortunately, it was not enrobed with mayo and cotija cheese as a typical elote should be. Fried plantain: not many slices. They are dry and not sweet . I was hoping for more ripe plantain Birria tacos: small tacos, the consommé lacks of depth of flavor. I could only taste saltines. The waiter asked if I wanted rice and beans. I said only beans. It's basically mashed refried beans. I wasn't aware that it costs extra $4. My husband ordered this dish served in half pineapple. It has chorizo and shrimp. Again , lacking depth of flavor, very salty. Service was great. The staff is friendly. Credit card is accepted but with a fee. There's an ATM if you prefer to pay with cash.

Everything on the menu that we had was delicious; however, the carne asada taco portion was a little small so make sure you order a side of rice and beans. For dessert, the churros were to die for: they came with ice cream too! We don't order dessert too often but I was so glad we did! The space is HUGE and there was no problem getting sat right away on a Saturday night. They do turn it into a dance club at night so we'll have to go back. Servers are nice and attentive and we will definitely be back!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since they are located right about Ogawa (also amazing)! We tried the omakase cocktail, which was really fun and creative. The toro was also a standout, although how can you go wrong with toro, uni, and caviar? The wagyu dog itself was great, but the roll it was on was dry. In my opinion, the bread makes or breaks a sandwich, so points off for that one. The ambiance was cozy, if a little dark at times. I also thought it would be great if they asked about your taste, favorite cocktail, etc to truly customize the drink. Instead they don't ask about your preference, just if you want shaken vs stirred and to pick a season. So I'd recommend sticking to the actual menu . Other than that the food menu was fun. I enjoyed the wagyu hotdog, and all the appetizers I tried were delicious.

The main dining room is pretty narrow without much in the way of decor, and I think more could be done to help the space pop, but as always the food is my main concern in the end. The complimentary crunchy corn snack for the table was a nice surprise! We ordered an app, a ceviche, and four entrees to share between the six of us and found that plenty filling. The Yuca Frita app was tasty with a delicious dip we held on to, but I wish it came with more as six pieces felt small for the price. The Ceviche Mixto was a more solid portion with a great variety of seafood; it was on the tart side but came with a really nice cilantro sauce that the table ate clean. Out of our entrees, the Lomo Saltado was the highlight with well-cooked and tender chunks of steak and yummy fries (simple, I know). The Pescado a Lo Macho and Arroz con Mariscos were very generous portions with a ton of various seafood; even the fried fish dish came with shrimp, mussels, and scallops on top. The Aji de Gallina was maybe the least noteworthy entree, a chicken stew with cassava and rice, but even that was hearty and filling. Service was good throughout with plenty of water refills, and the cost was surprisingly reasonable for what we ordered. I'd definitely recommend this place for seafood lovers, and I'd be interested in coming back to try the roast chicken and to have the lomo saltado and ceviche again!
