The architecture is impressive, on two levels, looks one way from outside and opens up as a lovely courtyard from inside with escalators and a cool looking, futuristic elevator. The mall is luxurious, with pots of bougainvillea in various colors everywhere. If you go during the weekends (we were there on a Sunday), lots of stores and businesses are closed. It was okay, felt like we had the whole place for ourselves. Otherwise- various business-es - medical ones on top, some restaurants, a cool looking bakery, stores- Bijan, Stuwart Weitzman. Underground garage with valet parking (we parked in another lot) and clean restrooms. Cool shopping center with a great architecture, built when outdoor malls weren't popular. Fun place to explore! We didn't see exactly what we wanted and she went above and beyond to contact the vendor to have it made. And she also got us a wonderful promotional gc that Saks was offering during the holidays. It was worth the wait and Tory kept in contact with us to make sure we were informed all along the way. So happy we still have wonderful sales associates that take the time to really show they care and help. They took them for about a month to repair the lenses and tighten the frames, keeping me informed with updates and returning them sooner than expected. They also maintain a record of all purchases, which is convenient. During my last visit, I lost my sunglasses at Universal Studios while switching between 3D glasses and my shades on the tram tour. When I arrived at the store to buy a replacement, the staff member assisting me was fantastic! He offered me water as I tried on several pairs, searched for the pair I purchased before, and even showed me the new 2025 edition of that pair. He had me try on both versions and recommended the new version, and I ended up purchasing them. The process was quick, easy, and enjoyable, making it a stress-free shopping experience. These are really good chocolates and likely the best I've ever had and I have tried many types and styles from many countries. From their store front window I noticed various slabs (FrischSchoggi) of chocolates. The base ingredients for the slab are very good- Sugar, Cocoa butter, Whole milk powder, Cocoa paste, Lactose, Skimmed milk powder, Soy lecithin, Natural flavor, Natural flavors, Cocoa powder. Upon walking in, all the slabs were different with most having some sort of nut embedded. I pointed to one and she said it had only blackberry in it. I tried it, then bought 1/2 slab. I also bought a few truffles and pralinés. Chocolate is good for your mitochondri. These chocolates are priced at about $62 per pound for the slabs and $75 a pound for the rest. They do have various decorative boxes for gifts. And you thought Sees for $32 a pound was expensive.

Thankfully, with the opening of the first-ever Amiri boutique on Rodeo Drive, I was able to get a much better picture of the brand. I had called the boutique the day before to secure some Skele-Tops, which always seem to sell out in my size. Thankfully, a helpful staff member found them and put them aside for the next day. It turns out you can't buy items over the phone (at least not yet), but once you visit the boutique you can leave your card and ID on file for them to use later on. Arriving the next day, I was struck by how different the store was compared to the others on Rodeo Drive. There's no pretentiousness or stuffiness here, which is appropriate considering the brand's general aesthetic. Everyone I encountered was pleasant enough, including the guard outside, and there wasn't a typical Rodeo Drive attitude to any of the employees. This was especially true for Eric, who I worked with on getting my purchase together - shoes are always tough for me, so I took a minute in ensuring they were perfect. Perfection is definitely needed considering the... "investment" required for the purchase. Thankfully everything fit well and I was done and out for my impending dinner reservation in good time.
