It basically is the entire unlocked unthrottled BIOS on a machine that is not available to consumers. I know what I'm doing to a pretty decent degree but just like anyone, I messed up, ended up editing a value that caused my machine to No-Post. I looked far and wide for any service to be able to assist with quite a complicated query - basically can you dump an image of my NVRAM and flip the value I edited back to stock? Almost no place was able to do this I mostly got (we do not service this kind of request as an answer) while some places did in fact respond and wanted to look at my machine, I had a good gut feeling about MicroSoldering Lab - Tech Defense and went with it! Man was I happy I did! This guy is one of the best I've ever seen his ability to diagnose an issue and provide a solution that is above and beyond is truly insane, he was able to not just fix my laptop but RESTORE my NVRAM variables I had worked on diligently for over a year and a half! I had a 11 year old LG Plasma TV whose screen went blank one day. It had been working fine and then…read moresuddenly the screen went black and it would try to turn on but would ultimately show a blank screen then power off. Since there had been no degradation of the display quality over time I had figured that repair would be possible without having to replace the display or even the entire TV. I called a half dozen other repair shops and all refused to even look at my TV since it was a plasma tv. I understand that plasma type displays are now considered outdated and replaced by LCD and OLED but I was discouaraged that most repair shops wouldn't even bother looking at my TV. Enter Frank and his mobile service to the rescue! He told me upfront that there would be a non refundable $75 diagnostic fee. If it was deemed repairable and parts were available that would go towards the final repair. A very resonable cost since even the cheapest TV's nowadays range from a few hundred dollars to well over $1000. In the end it was a simple fix...it the PSU had some degraded soldering and Frank was able to resolder them and tested the screen to success within an hour. It was truly a great win since I saved a bunch of money (repairs with labor cost $150 in the end) from buying a new screen, diverted e waste from the landfill and was able to keep money into the local economy by giving Frank the chance to fix something completely repairable. I will definitely be calling him again if something like this comes up. Wonderful service! 5 stars all the way!

At one point, they wanted me to come by and Fred wanted to show me the inner workings of the unit and showed me where some functions were obviously messed with by the previous owner. One thing to note for potential customers, if they tell you your stereo component will be ready in six to eight weeks it is because they are busy. If you want your classic audio system repaired by a pro, Fred is the way to go. He and Jimmy will take good care of it. Jimmy will also call you or send you a text with an update, if need be. Fred is a friendly guy and has a sense of humor. If you don't have a sense of humor you probably won't get his. Please make yourself aware of their hours -for- customer appointments. Keeping it simple: they are busy because they know what they are doing. I saw first hand the inventory of stereo units that are being repaired and on deck for repair. I am a business owner myself, the customer is so important, but it is important that the customer trust the business owner they are hiring. My CD player was fixed on time and works perfectly now.
