My mom worked at the original restaurant as a car hop in the 60's. I went there through the 90's . This new location is not preferable. Parking was a pain. The restaurant was too warm and our waitress overwhelmed. On this Saturday evening they were understaffed and the wait time to get food out was long. I wasn't as impressed with the food as in the past. Tuna melt was great but the tiny cup of salad it came with was ridiculous . The people I came with finished their sundaes by the time my cake arrived. I just was underwhelmed though my son who came last month said his burger was great. I wouldn't return but maybe it's good for others.

Everything was perfect from beginning until the end. Recommended this place to my two best friends and also celebrated their birthdays showered with their specialty ice cream sundae lighted with candles. We literally sat there for over 4 hours chatting and catching up lol Food was delicious and cook to perfection, just the way I was expected. I ordered 4 dishes for 3 people because there's so many choices from the Menu that I wanted to try all. I will definitely come back again soon to try the other food! The ambiance was filled with cheerful energy and excitement, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in. It felt lively without being overwhelming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. As an added bonus, the owner, Tanya, stopped by our table to personally greet us, which made the experience feel even more genuine and memorable.

Had to come back to Twoheys! Just the two of us To celebrate my friend/neighbors' birthday! Ordered happy hour vodka martini, then mojito plus whipped honey feta, fried squid, buffalo wings, fish tacos ... our server du jour was David. Marisa was surprised with a complimentary firework ice cream with whip cream, such a lovely way to end a fabulous meal. Definitely come try this place. They have outdoor seating and an adjacent bar.

I was very excited to get the chicken pot pie... I love chicken pot pie... But this was not your traditional CPP. It was like a soup with the top of the pie crust on top. It lacked flavor. Once i added salt and pepper it was better but I was so disappointed that I only found 1 piece of chicken in this CHICKEN POT PIE!! The service was great. Staff was friendly.

Date: June 27 Purchases: Patty Melt wirh Garlic Fries Hot Tea - English Breakfast Experience: This was the second time that my husband and I have been here with our first time trying out their breakfast menu and this time we got to the their lunch menu. I ordered a hot tea since I was feeling under the weather. The tea did not come with its own little teapot and had to be refilled by our server by taking my cup and bringing it back to me. I ordered the Patty Melt cause it's my go to for diner places when I can't decide and chose Garlic Fries because I'm a sucker for garlic anything. My husband caved in and got their 1776 Burger special that was made in celebration for America celebrating 250 years of freedom. The food came quicker than expected and we dug right in. The Garlic Fries were a bit oily and definitely garlicky, but good. The Patty Melt was great and I love how then use the marbled rye bread. I looked over at my husband who was wanting me to give his burger a try, but it looked too messy and saucy for my liking and let him enjoy his meal. Overall, definitely prefer lunch over breakfast that we had before and would want to try more of their menu the next time we visit.

We love the ambiance and the service. Extensive menu and kid friendly too! My kids polish their plate every time. Sunday dinner time - a balloon artists make his round (tip recommended). Came here for a birthday celebration recently and it was super memorable with their complimentary giant firework-like candle (on sundaes). Def will return for more future celebrations!

Service was so nice, food was tasty and had a great american diner vibe! Got the stink-o burger and the patty was perfectly cooked, the garlic fries were absolutely delicious. Also got lucky because it was their 80th anniversary and they were selling ice cream sundaes for 83 cents!

Old school since 1943. I remember Carmine's, Craft Hill, Sow House restaurants occupied this location before the new Twohey's taking over. On this visit we had already eaten at another restaurant but wanted their lemon cake for desert. Even on a Wednesday evening the restaurant can be busy as we had to wait for a table.

Good food & good portions! There were 5 of us and the service was good! Everyone ordered something different and then we ordered a bowl of chili to share. That was tasty. The steak salad comes like steak and a side salad; not the steak on top of the greens. The greens are arugula and it was good but small. I would definitely not recommend the Greek salad. Lots of romaine but The tomatoes and onions are very scarce; could hardly taste them. Their tuna melt was the better option. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance is good especially for brunch

Twohey's Restaurant has the most delicious food in town. It doesn't matter if you are here for breakfast or lunch, you can never go wrong with anything on the menu. On this visit, my wife ordered a patty melt with a side of garlic fries and a hot tea. I ordered the waiter's recommendation: a limited-time, mouth-watering "1776 Burger" made with BBQ sauce, coleslaw, a beef patty, pulled pork, and cheese, with a side of fries and a blended lemonade. Overall, everything was exceptional, except for the burger's bottom bun, which got really soggy after a few minutes and made it difficult to hold. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and the ambience is moderate.

I had a great experience at Twoheys Restaurant and would absolutely give it 5 stars. Our group loved the vibe right when we walked in. It felt lively, welcoming, and like the kind of place you want to hang out and enjoy good food with friends. Our table ordered a little bit of everything. We had the fried chicken, burgers, calamari, spaghetti with meatballs, and a salad. Every single dish hit the spot. You could tell everything was fresh and made with care. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, the burgers were juicy, and the spaghetti with meatballs tasted classic and comforting. The service was efficient and friendly, which made the experience even better. We came during happy hour and were able to grab drinks and an appetizer at really good prices. We are from Northern California and honestly wish we had a place like this back home. This is definitely a spot to remember and return to the next time we are in the LA area. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised when I sent an email to the address on the website and received a reply with the password in a little over thirty minutes. After parking, we didn't have any problems finding the entrance even though it is not marked. Look for the big wood double doors and doorman standing in front. After giving him the password, he opened the doors and we walked in. We were surprised in several ways. The place is way bigger than I would expect for a place named "The Speakeasy". And at 6:30pm on a Sunday, we were the only guests inside. Only one other couple came in during the 30 minutes we were there. I would assume they are a lot busier on Friday and Saturday night. It is dimly lit, and very red inside. The bar is large with many bottles of liquor on display and many seats. The rest of the space is one large area that must have at least 20 tables, and the ceiling is high. It gives off more of a nightclub vibe than a speakeasy vibe. I tried the Naked & Famous cocktail which has two of my favorite spirits (Vida mezcal, aperol, yellow Chartreuse, lime, $18). It was nicely balanced with a good mix of smoke and herbal flavor. She had the Pablo's Poison (Altos reposado tequila, strawberry, lime, jalapeno, elderflower, $17). The jalapeno flavor really stood out with strawberry and elderflower in the background. They have a good cocktail menu with almost twenty cocktails, as well as a food menu with ten items. Walk up to the bar to order your drinks. Jeremy, the manager, and the female bartender whose name who I didn't get were nice. We aren't in Pasadena very often, and while they have a good cocktail menu, I don't know if we would return. Our server gave us a little insider tip and told us that if we wanted the biscuits, we should order them right away because they take a little time. Girl... those biscuits were SO good. I could have easily ordered another round. Warm, delicious, and absolutely worth the wait. We had the shaved celery salad with them, and I have to say, I'm not usually a big celery fan because I feel like it doesn't taste like much. But this salad completely changed my mind. It was light and refreshing with walnuts, dates, and a really beautiful dressing. Such a good combination of flavors and textures. The grilled shrimp with aioli were another standout. Those were ridiculous -- so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also had the burger and hanger steak, although unfortunately I didn't get pictures of either. But the potatoes that came with the hanger steak deserve a special mention because they were INSANE. Everything was cooked beautifully. The mains (the trout and the chicken) were a little bit of a letdown by comparison, just feeling kind of average, but they were still fine. Just nothing to rave about. The spot has a really nice old-school vibe that felt right for a birthday dinner. Parking is a bit of a headache around there, but keep in mind there's a public parking garage right around the corner that's free on weekends and after noon on weekdays.
