    Breakfast Burrito
    Lyane P.

I came on a Saturday morning and found parking easily right in front of the the restaurant. I am a creature of habit and ordered the Breakfast Burrito without the turkey sausage and got extra bacon instead. It is so delicious with the eggs, onions, beans, cheese and potatoes. I love that the tater tots stay crunchy. It comes with tortilla chips and salsa. So yummy! Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is bright and airy and we were fortunate to get a table by the window.

Fantastic coffee and breakfast! Vibes here are really cute. There's an outdoor area with ample seating that's great for a nice warm summer morning. Indoor is cute too. Food was delicious, portions were generous and prices were, too. Coffee was 10/10 (they use Jones Coffee Roasters). Definitely a great place to check out.

Ambience and service was great; had the ham cheese omelette with fingerling potatoes (different but tasty) and a cappuccino. My first visit and will come again to try their breakfast burrito.

Got the breakfast burrito and it's super filling. Very LA breakfast bunch vibes. The crew was casual but efficient.

Lost Parrot Cafe was good and I'd definitely come back to try other items and drinks. My husband and I tried their chilaquiles and breakfast burrito. Both were good, but definitely nothing super great or delicious (which is okay, not a bad thing). We've just had better so it may be worth us trying out different items from the cafe instead. We didn't get any drinks but some of their coffee menu did really interest us, so we will have to come back to try. We came on a Sunday morning where it was busy but not too much. We found seats immediately after ordering and it seems to move pretty quickly. The service was also great!

My wife found this brunch spot and we decided to take a gander at the restaurant over the weekend and we weren't disappointed. Unfortunately, we visited on a day where they were holding a private event. Thus, dining in wasn't an option so we ordered to go as they were going to close earlier on that day. My wife and I ordered the Avocado Toast & the Tater Tots to share. Food took about 5-10 minutes to come out and was delivered via the back bar area. Service is pretty fast & were pretty friendly, semi-professional vibe as well which is a plus. Avocado Toast Very different from the avocado toasts I've had in the past. Very easy to cut, portions are big, and it comes with a half egg. I could tell that the toast was freshly made and it provides a "healthier" side of the dish. Love everything about the dish and will always be a recommendation for anyone who wants to visit this cafe. Tater Tots This dish surprised me in a good way. Portions are once again, massive. Each tater tot is bite size which is nice, very crunchy & savory. Best part of it is that it's not too salty and compliments well with a drink. Sauce that was provided with the tater tots is highly recommended to use. I absolutely love the interior, very tropical forest type style, outdoor and indoor seating, and definitely the next time I visit again, I would like to dine inside the restaurant to taste their amazing quality of food in a more non rushed way. Perfect brunch spot for dates.

Fun decor and seating choices. Small space but great for a breakfast date. 10+ large parties may have a hard time here. They offer quick to go options as well. Service was quick for how busy they were when we visited!

Lost Parrot Cafe is becoming a favorite for our breakfast/coffee dates. The food is great, service is super friendly, and I love being surrounded by the lush, green plants. Don't tell my husband, but sometimes I'm daydreaming about owning the plants for sale instead of listening to him talk haha. Shhh! Food today: - Breakfast burrito (a yummy classic. we split it today. served with perfectly salted chips and salsa. love the microgreens. - Side of bacon (would have preferred it not so crunchy but still good) - Cheese danish (have them warm it up..so much yummier than it already was as is) - Vanilla latte with almond milk (strong espresso, a go to of mine) Can't wait to go back. Will definitely be bringing home a healthy, fluffy hanging pothos.

Nice cafe to enjoy breakfast, lunch or drinks. Came for breakfast and got an assortment of foods. Everything was good, nothing overly flavorful or plain. Good service!

This was my third time at Lost Parrot Café, and I'm so glad I came back again! I tried the chilaquiles rojos with carne asada and they were absolutely delicious. I finished every bite! I also had a matcha latte with no sugar, and it was perfect smooth, earthy, and refreshing. My friend had the burrito bowl and a latte, and she loved her meal too. The service was great friendly and welcoming and the ambiance is beautiful. I'm a nature lover, so seeing all the green plants around the café made me so happy. It feels cozy, fresh, and relaxing like a little indoor garden in the city. Highly recommend if you're in South Pasadena!

Chicken Tinga and Carne Asasa tacos
    Audrey S.

Our first Taco Tuesday at Lost Parrot Cafe and it was a pretty solid choice! The vibe and ambiance is so warm with the greenery, warm lighting and friendly service. The cafe is typically open until 4 pm but on Tuesdays they have tacos from 4pm - 8 pm. The place was busy but not crowded and the dips and chips were decent sized portions! They recommended the Chicken Tinga tacos which were so flavorful, and we also ordered carne asada tacos. What makes this really great are the handmade tortillas and the condiment bar which allows you to customize your tacos to your liking. They had picked onions, carrots & radishes, diced white onion, cilantro, salsa verde, salsa rojo, lime, etc. Will definitely be back!

Cilantro Lime Fries with Soy Chorizo and Guac
    Liana M.

Was in the area with a friend and Lost Parrot looked so cute, so we decided to try it. I loved all the plants everywhere. It felt very cozy and jungle-y. You order at the counter, get a number, and then pick a table. Plenty of spots available when we came around 1:30. Ordered the Cilantro Lime fries but added soy chorizo and guac on top. They were very well done, almost shoestring style fries. I liked them, but I didn't taste any lime. There wasn't much cilantro either. The soy chorizo was good but it had more potatoes mixed in which was weird. Guac was excellent though. My friend had the farro bowl and that looked much better. Super fresh and healthy. I'll probably try that or one of the salads next time. Service was relatively quick, which was nice. Parking was a little tricky, but I found a spot on the street. Overall it was pretty good! Ambiance was definitely a big factor.

    Bloody Mary hold the bacon
    Vikki S.

Had a wonderful brunch at Lost Parrot Cafe in South Pas today. Tried the green chilaquiles for the first time and they were even better than the red ones. Paired that with a perfect Bloody Mary hold the bacon and then grabbed an iced latte with almond milk before I left and I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. The service was great as usual. I think I showed up at just the right time as there wasn't a line. Enjoyed the beautiful plants and cool vibes.

    Cali Gold Latte, great!

The meat is tasteless, processed, and worthless. AND it's small! It's covered and salt to cover the complete absence of flavor. That burger is a prominent, featured choice in a very small selection of entrees from which to choose, and it should be wayyy better than that. Instead it is a complete failure. Food here is very safe, trite, hackneyed California cuisine beaten to death like a worn out horse. It's not ready bad and not very good offending no one, but food that is boring and not particularly drop dead flavourful. I wasn't super hungry and decided to order more of the sides. 1) French Fries with some skin on, looking rustic, had a touch of that ineffable earthy potato flavour. Asked for extra crispy, but just got a bit crispy so their default fries must be rather limp. Standard ketchup in a steel ramekin. 2) Roasted Golden Beet & Arrugula Salad had sweet, softer, smooth texture, Arrugula had a fibrous, good green herbal, peanut oil scented flavour. Not too funky, creamy goat cheese. Roasted walnut halves. All napped with a subtle Champagne Vinaigrette. Portion was about half of what would be expected in other comparable restaurants. 3) Bread Pudding: The bread was spongy, moist, eggy almost like a flan but lacked a deeper dairy, milkiness as well as lack of hints of warm spices such as cinnamon, allspice, ginger, cloves. Bland would describe the general overall flavour. Topped with cream rich ice cream. Scattering of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry. At home, I drizzled on Grand Marnier for more citrus cognac aromatics. 1-3a) Iced Tea The food here seems to be the Midwest version of what California cuisine should be. Middle of the road, steady as she goes, don't rock the boat. Our waitress was efficient, helpful, thoughtful in a business-like manner which facilitated our group of 8. The male helper with a moustache and the inked hand was great at keeping our glasses topped off. 3 stars for a safe, not overly effusive food that does not offend. The outdoor optics holds the charm and strength of this restaurant.

Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

Very obliging and accommodating. Food: 5 stars, surprisingly good, right amount for us. I was full but I can see where other reviewers say portions are small. It's small if u're a heavy eater. But the quality is definitely there. Ambiance: trendy, high energy, casual vibes where u can lounge and have a beer while munching on fries...or u can choose to be poshy and have a glass of wine with a salad and Chilean sea bass. It's flexible to accommodate both as there are different sections. Parking: street metered 1 hour parking. 3 stars, not their fault but 1 hour is simply not enough. It can get super busy and the server can be pulled left and right, so cut them some slack during super busy hours. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended .

We had this amazing server named Vanessa and she had the best customer service. She made a great…read morerecommendation for my buffalo chicken sandwich and it was delicious. She was also just super friendly. The vibes were great. The music was upbeat. The cocktails were only three dollars during happy hour! It was just so lively and fun. My friend and I stayed for four hours. The onion rings were tasty too! Will come back!

Stopped in because I had an SGV Passport BOGO coupon burning a hole in my pocket, and thank…read moregoodness for that discount, because if I'd paid full price for a meal this aggressively average, my review would be a lot less polite. I felt like this place is a bar that is masquerading as a restaurant. The ambiance is actually great. It has a quirky, old-style pub feel with some interesting artwork on the walls. The service, however, moved at a very slow pace. If you're looking to nurse a pint and contemplate life, it's perfect. If you're actually hungry, you might start eyeing the table decor. We sat down for an early dinner and the food was a mixed bag. Ordered Apps. Popcorn chicken and onion rings. They were what was expected as far as flavor. The Shepherd's Pie was a little devoid of seasoning. The House Burger was okay. It won't offend you, but it certainly won't make you write home about it. The Short Rib was the almost the lone survivor and hero of the evening but there was a tragic error. Serving warm flavorful meat on cold, old risotto is a bold move...and not in a good way. At least the price was right (shoutout to the BOGO passport). It's a neat little spot to grab a drink and soak in the atmosphere, and watch some sports on their TVs. As far as dinner goes, it's a one-and-done adventure for us.
