I walked in planning to spend maybe 20 minutes max just to buy a few souvenirs, snacks, and a few things to take home to my kids and family. Shortly after I walked in, I was approached and told I wasn't allowed to be there because I came in a semi truck. I explained that I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to buy a few items, but I was told they would not allow me to purchase anything. I was also told, "Unfortunately truckers are not welcome." Those were his exact words. That was extremely disappointing to hear. Truck drivers are a huge part of what keeps this country moving. We deliver the products businesses sell every single day, including the products sitting on Buc-ee's shelves. To be told we're not welcome and not even allowed to make a purchase is sad and frustrating. Because of this experience, I will never return to Buc-ee's again, not even in my personal vehicle.
