My family was in this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The sign on the roof now says TX Burger - don't think they are affiliated with Texas Burger any longer. We had the WORST burgers ever. The patties had been sliced in half vertically - the bacon was thicker!!! Not sure Nolan Ryan would approve - in fact - not sure they were his burgers. TX Burger Madisonville - Burgers Near Me - Madisonville, Texas

Was turning into Pizza Hut, saw this place and decided to try it, as I had never eaten at a TX burger before. Should have stuck to PH! The clerk was efficient and courteous, I ordered the TX patty melt combo to go. It took 10 minutes for my order to come out, so I assumed it would be fresh and hot. The fries tasted good, but were soggy and not hot (I went straight to my car to eat in their parking lot (had my dog with me) so they didn't have time to cool down, they had to have been sitting around for a while. The patty melt was ok, but the meat was super thin - about 3/16" (less than a quarter inch at the thickest part - it was so thin I actually got out my measuring tape to measure it!). And this was the "large" 1/3 lb burger. Not sure how small the smaller 1/4lb would have been! No one can cook that thin a piece of meat and not have it over cooked! The rye bread was soggy as well. Over all, a pretty mediocre meal for $10+! Nothing tasted bad, just really poorly prepared, and the meat was sooooooo thin! I will never go back, unless it is for the ice cream, which looked pretty good. read more
