Jason Cooley is a complete scam. Please read his other reviews here as well as his Facebook reviews before choosing to do business. I paid him up front, in cash, for a simple shaft swap on my putter. After a week of lies (he told me it was in stock, told me it was ready, etc) he finally blocked my phone number and isn't returning calls or texts. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING OF VALUE THAT YOU WISH TO GET BACK TO TX CUSTOM GOLF/JASON COOLEY. He's a thief and scam artist. Sent putter in to get refurbished in early December. Spent the last 3+ months trying to get my putter back. Emailed, texted weekly asking for updates and getting either no response or when I did get a response, it will filled with nothing but excuses for reasons why my putter was not done and empty promises of when it would be. Finally, After numerous attempts to contact Jason by phone and having the posted number not even ring, I accepted the fact that I had been scammed! Disputed the $ I had paid for services not rendered and CC company didn't even take a week to determine that they agreed with the transaction being fraudulent. only then did I get communication from Jason telling me that my putter was complete but that I first needed to cancel the disputed charged before he would send it back. I responded via both email and text asking for picture proof that it was completed and was per the agreed upon specs and when he would be available to discuss. Have never heard back. Local law enforcement have also indicated that I am not the first person to file a similar complaint. Do your research first! ****BEWARE****Texas Custom Golf****Jason Cooley** He will steal your club and your Money and I'm not the first one!! Check his current Google reviews! Please beware of this company. Unreliable and dishonest! This is a Long and Detailed Post/Review. Let me start by saying I have over 60 emails between Jason and I (most from me as you will see) to verify this review and quotes. It started in Mid September 2024 filling out his online form at txcustomgolf.com asking what I wanted done to my putter. I needed it re-shafted and cleaned up. I shortly was contacted by Jason and given an invoice of $204.59(incl Tax) to re-shaft and do restoration, which I paid in full. I then sent him my Odyssey O-Works 7s putter and he received it on Sept 14 2024. After several emails back and forth I received a lengthy email on October 10 2024 stating that they were finishing up on it that day but wanted to know if I would allow a little "creative freedom" in the paint which I agreed to let him do. Oct 13 2024 email from Jason said "Thanks, it won't take much longer...I will send pics about mid-week when I got it done and ready to ship". After a few more emails back and forth on October 18 2024 Jason emails and said "I will be finishing up on it this weekend and shipping early next week. You are really going to like this putter after you see what I have done to it. It looks amazing". After some more emails Oct 28 2024 I get an email from Jason "Just finishing up and shipping today....I will have a tracking number for you no later than tomorrow". After more emails to him I get an email from Jason on November 1 2024 "We are moving. Will ship Monday. Shop is closed. Putter wasn't ready to ship but as of Monday will be ready". Nov 4 2024 email from Jason.."Our move is complete. I will be getting it out ASAP and we'll get you a tracking number today or tomorrow". Nov 6 2024 Jason email Response to my emails.."This is hour 4 of being back open...I am finishing your putter today...You are #1 on the list of putters to push out..". Nov 18 2024 after several emails to him, Jason replies.."Done. Shipping today. Will get you tracking by end of biz.". Nov 23 2024 after several emails from me Jason replies.."Your putter is shipping today. It is boxed up and when I get up in the morning, I will create the shipping label and will drop it off with my batch of other items by noon. You should have it by Tues or Weds". Nov 24/25/26/30 Dec 2/4/5 No answers to my emails as to where is the putter. Dec 7 2024 Email from Jason..."Relax. The insert was damaged and I'm trying to get a new one just like it".... I'm going to have this resolved in the next 3-4 days and will send it on its way." Dec 20 2024 asked for an update. Jason replied Dec 20 2024..."Just boxed it up and am about to drop it off......your putter looks great and I'm happy to be getting it back to you....". Emailed Jason on Dec 24/27 as no Putter and received Jason email Dec 28 2024 "I finally got the face taken care of and to my satisfaction. Putter is ready to cut, grip, and ship. Sorry for delays won't be anymore...will send tracking which should be tomorrow or by end of the day or shipment on Monday". I emailed Jan 2 and 6 2025 and received email from Jason Jan 6 2025..."Working on it now". Jan 10/15/18/21/22 2025 Emailed Jason with no response! Jan 27 2025 I emailed Jason and told him I was releasing a very negative review of him and his company. Jan 30 2025 Received email from Jason again stating the "Putter was finished and shipping that day." Asked if I would delay my review until I got the putter and evaluate the quality of his work. February 19 2025 STILL NO PUTTER AND NO REFUND!! So I hope this LONG review and detailed dates and quotes help anyone who is thinking about using this company "think again". Everything that Cameron stated in his review is absolutely true because that is exactly how I am getting treated. I even stopped in McKinney to see if I could pick the putter up because I was passing through. Went to the address and his father told me that he was no longer doing the work there at his home and gave me the new address. I went to the new address and there was no answer there either. I have my new season about to start in a week and a half and I don't have a putter. This guy has had my putter since October 16. He sent me pictures of the putter, the same color as I sent it in, and I clearly stated to him via text message and over the phone that it was supposed to be a black cerakote coating with a red stripe and red lettering. This is extremely frustrating since I have already paid for this work to be done. I feel that I have been more than patient in this situation. I don't think that these are good business practices the way he does business. I get the same excuses as to why it's not done that Cameron received. At this point, I don't even care anymore. I just want my putter back so I can take it to someone more professional. As proof, I have attached our entire text message conversation And you can make your own opinion. I have sent TX Custom Golf so many different clubs now I have lost count. Jason is amazing and has handled my Titleist irons, JK Wedges, Scotty putters and more. He does amazing work and I will be a customer for life. If you need anything done to your clubs he is the guy to contact. Restoration, refinishing or whatever he's got you covered. read more

If I could give Jason and this company negative stars I would. I am writing this review to warn anybody considering this company TO NOT USE THEM. Jason is a pathological liar and does a piss poor effort. I gave my putter to Jason on April 18, for a simple repaint and refurbish. He told me he would have it ready on May 1. I just now got the putter, today is June 15. The worst part is he has told me nearly every day that the putter is ready and then will ghost me and not respond back until days later. He will straight up lie to your face meanwhile he hasn't worked on the putter at all. He offered to do "free" engraving on my putter as well. The engraving is so bad that he needs to be paying me money for how he's ruined my club. He had my putter for 2 months, it now looks like shit, and I have to throw it away.
