Rod H.

We had a tankless water heater installed in our old house and while I loved the endless hot water, I was unhappy to learn how loud they can be. My home office shared a wall the room it was installed in and I could literally hear every time hot water was used in the house, it drove me nuts. When we decided after moving into a new house that the traditional water heater it had wasn't cutting it - we couldn't even fill the tub before it ran out - and needed a tankless installed, I was extremely concerned that we'd have a repeat of the problem, so much so that I put off getting one installed for a year. When Tyler from TYCO Plumbing showed up and I explained my concerns and history with tankless heaters, I pointed out that the room right next to the furnace room is my office, and the room right above it is my wife's music room, so I wanted him to do everything he could to minimize the noise from it. Let me tell you something. Tyler. Understood. The assignment. He called Navien, he talked to construction experts, he researched, and when the day finally came to install the water heater he wound up installing a board to new studs held in place by rubber shock-absorbers and sound-dampening insulation behind the board, something like forty thousand screws holding it in place so there would be no vibrations. I mean the guy straight up geeked-out on my request, I've never seen anything like it. "Went above and beyond" doesn't even come close to the level of effort that went into making this thing as quiet as possible. Tyler told me beforehand that he'd do everything he could but couldn't promise it would be totally silent, which I understood. After it was installed, he left me in the utility room to go turn the hot water on in the bathroom and asked me if it was too loud. My hand to God, I actually yelled back "is what too loud?" unaware that he had even turned the water on at all. I was standing next to the water heater and could not hear a thing. It goes without saying that none of the nearby rooms have any noise. The pipes are clean, the install is perfect, and my wife enjoyed her first bath in the new house since we moved into it a year ago. I cannot stress in a review how *perfect* this install was, the entire thing was absolutely flawless. Cannot recommend TYCO highly enough.

Replaced broken water pipe. Thanks Robert!

Had Tyler come out and install a water heater. Pricing was competitive and the installation was completed on time as scheduled.

Thankfully I found Joe. He was knowledgeable, funny, a great guy and didn't try to upsell a thing. He replaced my water heater at a great price. While he was here my sewer was backing up when he tried to drain the water heater. He asked that we get it cleared before he finished the job. We called Homeservice plumbers and they came out, said there was a block and they would have to tear up the basement and the starting price was almost 7k. More if they found other problems and they repeatedly tried to use, used car sales tactics and scare tactics to get me to replace Joe as my plumber and destroy the basement to clear a "block". Joe recommended Colorado Sewer Service and they came out and cleared the "block" in 10 minutes for 1/50th of what they were going to charge to tear up the basement and install a new unnecessary pipe just to begin with, which I am sure they would have tried to turn into a 20k plus job. Joe did a fast and excellent job and is just a good human being. I cannot say enough good things about this man and his business. Without a doubt I will use him for every job I need in the future. You are the best Joe, thank you again for all you did and for being Honest!

I…read moreonly had a small job I thought, replace a bathroom type ceiling exhaust fan that was in the laundry room of the house I had just recently bought. A malfunctioning exhaust fan is an odd problem to handle because electricians don't want to deal with duct work or anything they consider HVAC and HVAC people want to work on/replace furnaces or air conditioners not exhaust fans. Through Yelp I found and contacted Travis at Handyman Plus. He made an appointment and showed up right on time. The "broken" exhaust fan was not actually broken it turns out, nor was the switch which seemed to do nothing. It's a type of continuous running whole house exhaust fan unlike anything I had seen before. The wall switch which appeared like it might be broken wasn't it's just the way this fan operates. Travis got me all the information I needed to look up this fan and learn how to use it. A few weeks later I had a medicine cabinet I wanted installed in our master bathroom. As the wall area to be opened also housed the electric line to an outlet I asked Tarvis to do the installation. Again this was a small job, not the scale of work sought by many people in an up economy. Travis made an appointment, texted me when he was on his way and did an excellent job installing my cabinet; without hitting the power line or electrocuting himself. I'm really pleased with the work but more pleased overall with Travis of Handyman Plus. He is professional, thorough, capable and resourceful. I would not hesitate to call him for much larger jobs.
