Once again another hidden gem in Junction City, me and my wife found this place a couple months ago when deciding on somewhere to eat. Let me tell you I was not disappointed. They have a wide verity of drink selections and an open bar, I ordered the prime rib sandwich (I think that's what it's called) and wow it was amazing. The service was fast and the food did not take long to come out. All things considered, this place is great! Customer service was awesome. The waitress we had was super sweet and very expedient! Can't believe I just found this place. It's straight forward good burgers and stuff like country fried steak. Good selection of beer too. Nice staff and friendly people all around. I have always loved TymeOut, it was my favorite place for lunch, the. The pandemic it and lunch was difficult. Ty and his staff do an amazing job and prepare and serve a class number #1meal. Upon walking in, I was surprised to have been acknowledged and greeted. Usually small town restaurants customer service isn't that great. But I sat down, ordered a drink or two and put in my order of appetizers and entree. The atmosphere is pretty nice, I love the crown royal bags on the walls, definitely gives the place character. Bad food, bad service. Over priced. I ordered the prime rib and the server mentioned "that comes out medium-rare, is that OK?" to which I said yes. It came out medium-well at best. So, I asked the server for another cut, and when she looked at my serving she said, "wow, that looks like well done". The second serving came out about 10 minutes later and was medium at best. No pink to be found anywhere. The manger/owner came out about a minute later to explain that they get their prime-rib in precooked medium rare to medium, but then they have to reheat it on the grill so it comes out a bit more cooked. He said, "I know you two are not from here but all the locals are used to it". I ordered a side salad too, which was iceberg lettuce and a couple of slices of cucumber. The complimentary side of corn is canned corn and a bit brownish grey. $26.94 for the prime rib and the salad/side. We ordered a couple of beers. I've never been to a sports bar where the server doesn't come by regularly to see if you want another. We did order more beers, but had to flag down the server each time. read more

Great hospitality! Greeted as soon as my family and I walked in. I'm giving Tyme Out only 3 stars because my steak was made "well done" vs. medium well. I'm really particular about my steak--I mean I think the goal is to get what you ordered, the way you ordered it. Again, nothing against the staff; they were super friendly. Nothing impressive and over priced. My husband and I went to a steak house that served only 3 choices of steak. The waitress on shift was more interested in the conversation she was having with a friend, the other employee's and the game going on the T.V. I ordered a side salad that was $3.00! It literally was just lettuce and ranch, no tomatoes, cheese anything just lettuce for $3.00!!! This side salad was served to our table at least 5 minutes AFTER I recieved my entree. I almost told her I no longer wanted it. I ordered a garlic butter steak as well which was not bad the actual steak was juicy and good. I feel that the service was terrible here and maybe the expierence would have been better with a different server. As I had said she was to busy with her interest and nothing of the customer. I had already finiished my meal and my pepsi was already completely gone and when she brought the check asked if I wanted a refill! Would have liked the refill with my meal but... Their steaks are well priced and cooked pretty good. The staff is as attentive as they can be and the atmosphere is pretty laid back. It is affordable and friendly, but pretty unprofessional atmosphere which doesn't mean a bad thing. You can really just come into this steak house as you are. It's very casual. An absolute gem, waitstaff was attentive, knowable about the local area and had some good recommendations on the menu. The place has a ton of crown royal bags covering the ceiling and walls. Waitress said there were over 5,000 hanging up. Ordered the grilled shrimp this time and I would recommend it to others if you enjoy shrimp. Super Bird Sandwich was good, over priced in my opinion. Best sweet potato fries I've had in a long while. Beer was cold!

This place was recommended from a coworker that said they have really good steaks. So while TDY at Ft Riley, went there for dinner with my coworker. His burger was really good and they give you tons of fries. I had the 6oz steak and onion rings. They steak was cooked just right but was just okay. The onion rings were the same. We just moved here from out of town and decided to give Tyme steakhouse a try because we were in the mood for a good steak. We walked in and there and were only 2 tables of people but all the tables were dirty and no one even greeted us, against our better judgement we decided to give it a shot. We got the garlic butter sirloins with the fried mushrooms and the mashed potatoes with white gravy. The steaks were so bland, didn't taste any garlic what so ever. All of the sides were disgusting. Mashed potatoes were clearly instant from a bag, gravy and green beans tastes like they came straight from the can. Fried mushrooms were horrible. So watery so you can tell they were frozen and the mushrooms had absolutely no taste. Was seriously like eating fried rubber water. Server took our order and dropped off the food ... that was the only times we saw her. Total bill was $48, not worth it at all. Just drive 15 miles to manhattan and go to Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse with way better food and better prices. read more

We normally go to Manhattan to eat out. Tonight we stayed in Junction. I was craving a steak. We decided to come here and the owner and the staff were so hospitable. The owner had caught some fresh catfish and the cooks fried it up along with some frogs legs. That was a free appetizer for us while we waited on our wonderful steaks. I had the amazing, buttery soft garlic butter 8oz and my guy had the Ribeye 16oz. The night continued with the coldest beer I have ever had at a restaurant and ended with free cake! We could not have picked a better place to come. I normally crave steak once a year, so I expect it to be out of this world. Our steaks were galaxies away. My palate is still in a state of euphoria. My husband and I love Tyme Out, and we love the owners. They are always really friendly to us and they have great mom and pop food. Burgers and steaks.. chicken, good country food. We had a little dinner party here upstairs and they let us decorate it how we wanted, gave us great attention for drinks and food, and helped us serve our cake to guests. We come here often and will keep doing so because it's a great place to eat!!! The bad reviews are from a salty couple that says things like "their water is tap water, it didn't even taste filtered"... mmhmm.. that's enough right there. We waited forever to have our order taken. She ignored us while waiting a few times on the table next to us. Before our order was taken about half the restaurant cleared out. Took our order and took forever to bring us our food. She had no problem standing there talking to other people all while our drinks sat empty. We got our food and it was disgusting. I ordered a medium well steak and it came out over done and not only that it was cold. My baked potato was luke warm and barely melted the butter. We sat for a good 20 minutes with our food done and plates piled with trash before she even acknowledged we were finished and wanted the check. We had a $50 check and we shouldn't have even paid $20 for that service and food. I wish I could give this place negative stars!! Take your time and go over to Manhattan for better steaks! read more

We like the atmosphere. Prices are too high for what it is. Fries are always soggy, need to work on crisping them up in the fryer. Flavor is always decent but many times they are out of whatever we want, like bacon burger or something. Can't buy a beer pitcher anymore, not sure what is up with that.
