A group…read moreof 4 staff and 4 individuals in wheelchairs were enjoying a weekend vacation in the Black Hills when the wheelchair bus broke down Saturday evening in the Mount Rushmore parking lot. Rapid City tour bus companies got our people safely back to their hotel and Halvorsen's Auto Repair worked Sunday and then Monday from 6 AM until the afternoon to get the bus fixed so they could return home. He really saved the day! We are so grateful.

Well if it was that is what this terrible place would get. I brought my vehicle in for a relatively simple problem which they said should be no problem to fix and that they would have the capability to fix it. SEVERAL WEEKS after i had it taken in, (with no offer for a loaner/rental/anything) the c**k suckers made me pay nearly double their original quote because they had to take it to another place to do the work that THEY should have been able to do in the first place and made me pay for it. The mechanic did give a heart warming explanation of how they didn't have the right tools originally to fix it, WELL THAN WHY DID YOU SAY YOU COULD YOU PIECE OF SHIT?! Less than a week later more problems started that were close to the previous ones, the manager him self said that if any problems came up with what they did they would fix it for free. Well i called him up and the jack ass told me no way that he would even look at it for free. To sum things up: -Unreliable -Unprofessional -Untrained staff -Cheap asses -Dingy/dirty work place -You could fix your vehicle more effectively by throwing a glass bottle at it.

They say it has been occurring for 4 weeks and they are trying to handle it. Customers were not notified of this, yet they have been aware of this issue for a month already. There is no support if your things are damage. The whole point in paying for storage is to ensure your things are protected, there is a complete lack of care for customers and damage items. I would not recommend this storage facility, I will be looking to relocate my things ASAP!

When Rapid Towing picked me and my wife up, I asked for a mechanic shop recommendation. They recommended TDR Garage. The recommendation was a "grand slam home run." See, in my case it wasn't just about getting the car fixed, it was also about rescuing my vacation and the crew at TDR understood that. The car was dropped off just before closing time on Monday. A quick check revealed a punctured gas tank. They gave me a ride to a rental car company and I figured that we would have a few days to explore Rapid City. I was wrong. The next day they were able to locate the parts needed and the car was ready to pick up that afternoon. Between Teegan and the rest of the people in the office and at least two different mechanics, this was a team effort and they did a fantastic job saving our vacation. Even with all the extra efforts, the prices were very fair. Thank you to TDR and the fantastic service they offered.

Dropped the truck off the night before, and they said the work I needed done could be done in 1 day. I informed them that I could only afford to have this truck down for one day. After having the truck sit at the shop for hours, they called me with a bunch of items they claim needed work, which did not, and then didn't even have the parts ready to go for the work I originally requested. After 5 hours of the truck sitting there, they did zero work and blamed it on "waiting for Peterbilt to get back with them on part prices." That's funny, each time I call Peterbilt for parts they immediately tell me the price and availability over the phone. These guys have no sense of urgency and will try to "up-sell" you rather than just do the work you requested. Then they had the gall to charge me $160 for an hour of work! They are nice people, but I don't need nice, I need results and good work. I won't be going back here.
