There is also a beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard to sit outside and enjoy the view. The bar serves wine and bubbly. They don't do cocktails but they do have a good selection of brown water to choose from. It was cute, don't get me wrong, the newest winery we visited. The owner Chelsea has been making wine for 10 years (as I was told by the tour guide), although I believe this winery has only been in business since 2017. You would always be exposed to the elements, from what I hear these tours are rain or shine. They have fun comfortable out door seating with some cool canopies but mostly for a little shade nothing more. I did buy a bottle of wine, Sweet Red Firefly, but I wish I had bought more at the second winery. They do sell trinkets and jewelry which you know how that point of purchase works. Grabbed some earrings and then some more. The restroom was clean, but the winery was small, and still much needed work is to be done. The walkway into the building was muddy with broken steps to get across a very muddy path. Lucky this wineaholic didn't end up on her knees. We had the most fun here, as we were super relaxed and the liquid therapy had us all on cloud wine. We chased chickens, did cartwheels, twerked, and caught the sunset in the vineyards.

Additionally, I started to notice people nearby eating different foods and realized my boyfriend and I were never provided a menu. We ordered a charcuterie board in advance time before arriving but I would've still liked to be notified that the winery offered small bites because we did taste test quite a few wines. We also had to wait for a private tour to be completed in order for us to do our public tour. I would've rather that the website have a time block so that we couldn't book for that time or just let us know in advance that we would have to wait a period of time for a private tour to be finished because we did have another activity booked for that day. Sherry and her staff were very easy to work with in getting the information we needed to plan the day trip. She made it very easy for us to plan and run the trip. When we arrived and sat out on the patio, the wait staff immediately came and started picking up our wine tasting sheets and sending us in the activity center to start getting our lunch. Wine tasting boards were being delivered before we starting coming back with our food. The service was excellent. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous. They completely made everyone feel appreciated for being there. The food was hot and tasted great. There was entertainment that started at 2:00. The singer was fantastic. There were different types of games for people to play if they wanted. I would absolutely recommend Busted Oak Cellars for a group trip or just a place to go, relax, drink some excellent wine, have a bite to eat and listen to the music.

Threshold Vineyards showed up at the Houston Rodeo and I took their card and vowed to check this…read moreplace out. Really easy drive (about an hour from Houston) AND it's next to a Bee Farm. This has some seating indoors and some outdoors, so going during the fall is probably ideal. Not a huge space, but when I arrived on a 100-degree day, there were plenty of seats to choose from. I did two different flights- the sparkling and the tasting. I'm more of a red lover, but the Blanc Du Bois semi-sweet is one of the only whites I've REALLY enjoyed (I received a tasting of this at the rodeo and wanted to check out more options here since I loved it so much). There are only two sparkling options at the moment, so I tried both. The real star was the Belle for me. I can definitely see myself taking this to brunch or enjoying while cooking a meal. It is light and refreshing and you can totally taste the fruity guava notes in it. The Blanc Du Bois regular is not sweet enough for me which is probably why I enjoy the Semi Sweet so much. Of course, I left with a bottle of this as well. I'd like to come back and try their Reds- but definitely something I'll have to do in the future. If you're already out this way, you can taste some wine and then book a Bee-Keeping class which I really enjoyed.
