Oregon Trail Moving - REALLY ???

There's an added cost with the HireAHelper platform. Moving out of the area, we consulted with Nick. We considered two or three people to help us move for a 2 bedroom apartment. We went ahead with three people, since we're on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex, and that was the right move. Jake, Josiah, and Chris showed up early! They were so efficient with a previous move that day that they called and said they were ready to go. We had ordered 2 relocubes through U-Pack and when they arrived - these things look smaller than we thought they would be. There's just no way we could have packed as efficiently as Jake, Josiah, and Chris did. They were so fast too. We hadn't packed as well as we could have. Moves are stressful. We had odd pieces of furniture and linen in garbage bags, and the crew was able to take them all and fit them into the cubes. They finished within 3 hours. With the containers, there's bound to be some jostling using the forklift to load them onto the truck, but I am worry-free. They did such a great job making sure things were tightly packed.

From my first interaction with them to my last, I was extremely impressed with how friendly, clear, professional and flexible they were with me. Moving all your precious belongings is a stressful process, and these folks really went far to reduce my anxiety. For example, I really appreciated their flexibility when I needed to move forward my moving date twice; they were totally understanding and happy to reschedule for me. Honestly, each and every member of their team that I interacted with was friendly, polite and flawlessly professional. Do yourself a favor and give them your moving business: you will be super glad you did.

Two moves, and I'm going to be very generous with 2 stars…read more The first move took much, much longer than it should have with three guys, and they unfortunately didn't realize I grew up speaking Spanish (I'm mixed but white presenting) and said some highly unfavorable things for professionals. While the guy who did my paperwork seemed nice, it was way over the top like he was trying to ingratiate himself with me for a better tip. The questions he was asking me were personal and invasive and just left me feeling uncomfortable and wanting to get away from him. Unfortunately this is the reality of being a woman, often, is men mistake your kindness for familiarity when he should have just stuck to being a professional doing his job. This second, and LAST move I will ever hire Bridgetown for, I booked a move with three guys and the same size truck as my previous move. I specifically wanted a company who knew how much stuff I had (we ran out of room, the first time, and I had to leave several items behind). The issues started at booking, when my estimate arrived with my deposit, and the quote read $0...I checked in with Devon and she said my move was still booked, the quote was just a system error (but didn't fix the issue of an hourly rate for 3 guys...but ok...), the confirmation text I received a a few days before my move caused me minor panic because she listed the wrong date...OOPS her bad, but it's fine, all is well, ok... But, the day comes, and TWO men show up with a much smaller than expected truck. I ask about the 3rd guy? Oh well yea his work order says it's supposed to be 3, the paperwork he hands me says 3...I call Devon and yep oops "Dispatch" (aka one of the owners apparently?) "made a mistake and sent the wrong crew due to a paperwork mixup." Folks, when I tell you this would have been an absolutely nightmarish scenario that would have cost me my last shred of sanity due to all the BS I've been dealing with, it can't be underestimated how p'd off I was. Luckily for me, I have terrible anxiety and bc my last move took so many hours, I haven't been able to sit still and had taken *sixteen* carloads of moving bags over myself before the movers ever arrived. I wanted this move to go so much smoother than the last, and I had two afternoon appointments for various maintenace and install issues with my new house that day of the move. I booked three men and huge truck specifically to make the move fast and easy. If I had not absolutely destroyed my body (thank you, anxiety, for apparently seeing the future and that something would in fact massively go wrong) taking allllll that stuff myself over two weeks after I got my keys on the 1st, there is ZERO shot everything would have fit on the truck, not even half my stuff would have fit. And as a reminder, I specifically booked Bridgetown because they had an inventory from my previous move. I was in the end charged the minimum rate, to "apologize" for the "mixup," but having to explain to Devon and to the two man crew why this was all so frustrating and upsetting is insane to me. I booked 3 guys, giant truck, with BM specifically who had my inventory because I knew how much stuff I had to move. They caused me at least 10 more gray hairs that day. I will never, ever, be using your services again.

Friends strongly suggested this company, and it was well worth the investment. Their understanding of the emotional toll of leaving a long-loved house and their empathy during our first meeting was exactly what we needed to ease the transition! On a moving day, the crew arrived at the appointed hour and started packing. All four of them were extremely careful to honour our requests and secure our belongings precisely as we had requested. They took great care to wrap our pricey chinaware and picture frames with extra because of their fragility. Not only was the delivery prompt, but everything arrived at the new location in pristine condition. They volunteered to assist us in rearranging and reassembling the furniture so that we could make ourselves at home! We are extremely appreciative of the excellent, five-star service we received.

They were so thoughtful and considerate of our situation, and happily worked their way around it. At our new place, they even carried our heavy dining table up a narrow staircase without a single scratch. Their kindness and professionalism made this big transition feel manageable, and we couldn't be happier with the experience!

I hired Cari for a second time because she was so hardworking and thorough 2 years ago when she organized my guest bedroom and storage area. She absolutely crushed it again, going above and beyond to get my stuff sorted by discard, donate or keep lists. She expertly disassembled bed frames, carefully packed up my fragile items (LOTS of them), and purchased boxes and other moving supplies before she began. Cari donated my chosen items to charity and discarded my rejects, and never appeared judgmental when I absolutely couldn't part with my mom's ancient Guardian Ware roasting pan set, despite my admission that I've never actually used it! She is experienced and understands how hard it is to part with some things, but also will respectfully help you decide if you ask her to. So my not being there wasn't a huge issue in the end, and I felt so relieved hiring Cari to take this on when I couldn't. Her prices are reasonable and she is worth every penny. She also happens to be a great human being, is super friendly, funny and smart! I'm hoping to hire her partner in Boulder to help me organize my new place after my things arrive. What a great coincidence for me that Cari expanded her business to Boulder with her business partner before I ever knew I'd be moving here! Thank you so much, Cari!
