Jared moved slower than molasses in January from jump, and had a major attitude problem all afternoon. About 1:30 we figured we'd need an extra hour. Around 4:30 they were finally almost finished, and while my husband and I were dismantling a bathroom shelf for the dumpster, Jared asked me (for about the third time, and from the next room) about a microwave we'd indicated we might not take, and I told him (yet again) that he could probably have it, but I wanted to wait until we were done with the task we were in the middle of, and then we'd be ready to talk discharge. Next thing we knew, he'd grabbed the clipboard and stormed off saying "this isn't working out." By the time I got to the building hallway he was at the stairwell and I called after him "what's going on?" and he said "you're raising your voice at me!!" Which, got me there, he was pretty far away after finally moving at a typical adult pace. Rick was similarly flabbergasted by his colleague's tantrum, and we both followed him downstairs to discover that he'd literally started driving away, about to strand his coworker who muttered about possibly having to lyft home. By the time the clipboard was (literally, by Rick) chased down, we'd crept past 4:45, making for an *extremely* irritating additional 15 minute charge. Once my husband and I finished loading our personal items and went to lock the truck, we realized multiple items had been stacked in bizarre ways and broken, in addition to finding our open box cutter loose in a pile of stuff (on the other side, we also found plenty of poor wrapping with chips and scratches in most of our furniture). My husband called to discuss while we were on the road, because despite this now posted missive we do prefer to address managers directly vs. publicly first, and the owner, Greg, was completely uninterested. He just kept repeating how long he & Jared had both been at this, and told my husband about someone else ditching a job recently because the lady was drunk. Okay... and? Legit, good for them, but not relevant. I can't speak for Greg, but I've been in the workforce long enough to know that someone can do something for multiple years, and still suck at it! Clearly, that's the case with Smooth Move, and we would recommend taking your business elsewhere. Rick alone couldn't make up for their BS.

AND she remembered my preferred name even though i've only been in the office a couple times...i can't think of anything yall could be doing better. i can't speak to the other locations managed by this company, but i will definitely vouch for this one.

I hired Cari for a second time because she was so hardworking and thorough 2 years ago when she organized my guest bedroom and storage area. She absolutely crushed it again, going above and beyond to get my stuff sorted by discard, donate or keep lists. She expertly disassembled bed frames, carefully packed up my fragile items (LOTS of them), and purchased boxes and other moving supplies before she began. Cari donated my chosen items to charity and discarded my rejects, and never appeared judgmental when I absolutely couldn't part with my mom's ancient Guardian Ware roasting pan set, despite my admission that I've never actually used it! She is experienced and understands how hard it is to part with some things, but also will respectfully help you decide if you ask her to. So my not being there wasn't a huge issue in the end, and I felt so relieved hiring Cari to take this on when I couldn't. Her prices are reasonable and she is worth every penny. She also happens to be a great human being, is super friendly, funny and smart! I'm hoping to hire her partner in Boulder to help me organize my new place after my things arrive.
