Scratches on top of the coffee table
    New York City G.

Facts: I hired them to do 2 consecutive moves - first from a first floor apartment to a friend's garage. Second, a couple of weeks later from that garage to a walk up apartment (2 flights of stairs, first to get into the building and then second leading to the apartment floor). All was explained by me upfront. These people Lie nonstop, disrespect you and your property with a smile and with an upfront of faked politeness (perhaps some of this attitude is reserved for female clients...read on). Lie #1: For both moves they show up with a bigger truck than needed (were my items moving around? They were covered with Shrink wrap, not blankets). During initial conversation, the owner tells me he'll charge me more if he has to use this truck, I said there's no need for it to move One Bedroom apartment. He then tells me hourly charges for 2 people and a regular size truck to move one bedroom apartment, and we agree on a date. Later, as I was making arrangements for parking permit, he tells me the large truck is the Only truck he's got because the other one is being repaired. This costs me $70 more ($70 x 3 car lengths total cost) to secure City parking permit. Lie 2: During 1st move, they broke expensive modern Italian table and instead of telling me upfront, one of the movers "fixed it" by putting liquid nails on it to hold it together. Said he'd take it to the office and they'll repair it later. This wasn't his "first rodeo" so he knows how to deal with this. During second move this table was then almost left outside by them, upside down on the grass, in front of my new apartment building, as I walked out to see them close up the truck door getting ready to leave. Lie 3: Second move - the same person shows up with a different driver. I repeatedly tell them I need furniture brought in First since I'm moving into a smaller space and Must put furniture pieces in place, then boxes. I tell them this several times before they packed the truck with items from the garage and again before they unloaded. They proceed to move boxes "to get them out of the way" with little to no regard to setting up my furniture properly. They stack smaller bins under large bins, boxes marked Fragile under boxes marked books and "work / hobby", they complain ALL the Time about the load, regardless of the fact that I'm carrying boxes up the stairs along side with them - QUESTION: If there was a Male doing this, would they have complained a third as much as they did? What do you think, Males out there??? And while all this complaining is going on, I come outside to find one of them chatting (Again) with someone and getting ready to load HIS piece of furniture on His truck - on My Time and Dime! But I digress about the lie... Finally, the last piece they bring in is an Antique Mahogany gate-leg table which I needed to be brought in among the first items... And I'm frankly in shock with what I see. The guy tells me matter-of-factly that the leg came out so he "fixed it"...you guessed it - he poured liquid nails on it. Both movers Knew there was a problem with the Antique table, both lied to the end and did not tell me. Did they expect I wouldn't notice it? Lie 4: The owner tells me he'll send the 1st broken table to a repair person and if I like the way they repaired the first table, I can give them the antique table to repair. When I call a week later he tells me HE Fixed the table. Said the basic insurance is .60 cents on a dollar and then figuring the weight, it didn't make sense for him to send it to a professional. Oh, it also got some scratches now, but this turns out to be particle board on expensive chrome base, he tells me, and they, movers, do not guarantee safety of particle board furniture. He then goes into how he would just drill and put screws through the top so it would never fall apart.... Can you imagine the shock that I was in as I'm listening to this self-satisfied individual going on and on about how he worked hard and fixed it and HE will do the same with my 19th century mahogany piece because he "fixed an oak table ones".... So let me say this: I know that moving is a hard job. This is why I provided water, lunch, break to eat lunch, and decent tips for them. The owner seems to mistake decency for being naive and foolish. I would rather be considered naive than stoop to the level of what these people are. I also feel it is important to share my experience and for you to make up your mind whether you want to deal with them - their selling point is "local family owned and operated". I can't help it but to think they behave at least somewhat more decent when there's a male around; with me they were dishonest and disrespectful. And the damage they caused...look at the pictures.

The issue was resolved in mediation. I appreciate that it was done and over fairly easily, and the owner of the house negotiated a resolution that was satisfactory to her. Her floors were repaired quickly, mediation was on 1/28/2020. She asked me today (2/5/2020), when I took her pupper out for walk if I noticed the floor was repaired. I didn't notice, but I always noticed the gouge before. So must have done a good repair.

Hector, the Hard working mover from Smooth Move People who moved all our household goods and Rav4 from Oregon to Prescott AZ.

We completed the second leg of our major move from Oregon to Prescott Arizona this past June 8. Hector was our mover who loaded our household goods from our storage in Oregon into a big Penske truck. He also towed our Rav4 on a trailer all the way to AZ. Hector pulled through and made it to Prescott AZ in 2 days. He was also in touch with me the whole time he was on the road and kept me posted where he was and gave me an estimated time of arrival so I can be there at our new home to meet him. When Hector arrived, he unloaded our household goods with ease and parked our Rav4 in front of our home. He also placed our furnitures, household items, boxes and bins in their appropriate locations in our new home very efficiently. My guitars, amps and Eagle wooden statue arrived without any damages. If there were things I asked him to move around, he gladly did it without any complains and he always smiled. Hector should be given an MVP Award with Smooth Move People because he's so reliable, responsible, strong and a hardworking gentleman. We're so glad to have worked with him again. I highly recommend Smooth Move People to those who intend to move whether Interstate or out of State. They're awesome to work with and communication is excellent with Greg and Charity. Aloha

This is the broken down truck parked up on the highway.

These guys have been blocking traffic on a five lane highway all day rather than using the parking lot. Why, you ask? So they don't have to walk as far. And guess what else? Every single person that honked or asked them to move all day long? They all get screamed at "FUCK YOU". THEN one of them backed into a huge tree limb and almost took it out. Theeeeen, the second truck broke down right on the highway blocking an entire lane during rush hour. And when I put in a curtsey call to their office, the lady was the least interested she could have been. So here I am, being a Karen, so I can make sure no one has to deal with this crap. Choose someone else.

Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

If you read one thing from this review, it's this: do not hire All Service Moving unless you're…read morewilling to risk unexpected charges, damaged belongings, and a company that refuses to stand behind its work. We provided a complete inventory of our home and were quoted for one truck. Your team spent an entire day packing our home and never once mentioned there was a capacity issue. It wasn't until the very end of moving day, after everything had already been packed and loaded and we had no meaningful opportunity to make another decision, that we were told we needed to pay for a second truck. As a result, it ultimately required two trucks to remove our belongings from storage, effectively doubling the cost we had been led to expect. Unfortunately, the handling of our belongings was even more concerning. During move-out from All Service Moving's warehouse, numerous damaged items were identified and photographed. We also documented furniture stored directly against other furniture with little or no protection, exposed boxes, and delicate items packed and stored in ways that unnecessarily increased the risk of damage. As we continued unpacking, we found additional examples of improper packing, despite paying All Service Moving to professionally pack our home. Wardrobe boxes were not used for hanging clothing--the hanging bars were never used, and clothing and shoes were piled throughout the boxes. Delicate lamp shades were packed with dirty outdoor items. Clothing was packed alongside a floor cleaner and a greasy kitchen rack. Fragile decorative branches were packed without protection and arrived broken. These were not isolated mistakes. They reflected a consistent pattern in how our belongings were packed, stored, and handled. Despite photographs documenting both the damage and the way our belongings were packed and stored while in All Service Moving's warehouse, the company has never taken responsibility. We spent months trying to resolve this privately before writing this review. During that time, we repeatedly provided documentation, waited through postponed discussions, and requested the documents supporting the company's position. Those documents were never produced, and All Service Moving never took responsibility for the damage. Moving is one of the largest expenses and most stressful experiences many people will go through. When you hire a moving company, you're trusting them with everything you own. We expected our belongings to be handled with care and, if something went wrong, for the company to stand behind its work. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with All Service Moving.

First for moving from my things from my sold home to storage until I found a home to purchase and then a second time from storage to my new home. For each time from the initial contact for the appointment to the final move I could not have asked for better service. All of my questions were answered, I was informed the evening before and the morning of the moves of arrival times so I was prepared. We paid for full service because we are both currently injured and could not do the work ourselves, and we came to them through a family recommendation. The crew was scheduled to arrive between 11:00 and 12:00 and showed up around 2:00. We were told there had been an accident, and we understand things happen. But by the time they arrived, we had already packed everything except the kitchen ourselves. Packing the kitchen alone took them roughly three and a half hours, and even then the refrigerator was never emptied and items were left sitting on the counters. The team seemed very inexperienced. They needed direction on the simplest tasks, had zero spatial awareness, and moved at a snail's pace. They were also strikingly inefficient, taking a single item at a time to the elevator and riding up to the new unit instead of loading it first, and theykept doing it even after we suggested otherwise. Eventually we asked them to stop handling our dressers because we were worried about damage and about someone getting hurt. To keep the time and the bill from spiraling, we moved boxes, cleared out both closets, and carried furniture ourselves. It is not an exaggeration to say my partner and I did at least 60% of the move. I ended up moving two large dressers on my own with an injured ankle because they couldn't figure out how to maneuver it into the closet. Afterward we sent a detailed message, and owner Natalya called. The conversation centered almost entirely on the late arrival. The labor we ended up doing and the unfinished kitchen and refrigerator were never really engaged with. When we raised how inexperienced the crew seemed, we were told they had more than 10 years of experience, which flatly contradicted what we had just watched. The most she offered was a $100 discount, which she described as the entire profit on the job. We have used movers several times before for larger and more complicated moves, and every one went better than this. I would not recommend this company.

While the guy who did my paperwork seemed nice, it was way over the top like he was trying to ingratiate himself with me for a better tip. The questions he was asking me were personal and invasive and just left me feeling uncomfortable and wanting to get away from him. Unfortunately this is the reality of being a woman, often, is men mistake your kindness for familiarity when he should have just stuck to being a professional doing his job. This second, and LAST move I will ever hire Bridgetown for, I booked a move with three guys and the same size truck as my previous move. I specifically wanted a company who knew how much stuff I had (we ran out of room, the first time, and I had to leave several items behind). The issues started at booking, when my estimate arrived with my deposit, and the quote read $0...I checked in with Devon and she said my move was still booked, the quote was just a system error (but didn't fix the issue of an hourly rate for 3 guys...but ok...), the confirmation text I received a a few days before my move caused me minor panic because she listed the wrong date...OOPS her bad, but it's fine, all is well, ok... But, the day comes, and TWO men show up with a much smaller than expected truck. I ask about the 3rd guy? Oh well yea his work order says it's supposed to be 3, the paperwork he hands me says 3...I call Devon and yep oops "Dispatch" (aka one of the owners apparently?) "made a mistake and sent the wrong crew due to a paperwork mixup." Folks, when I tell you this would have been an absolutely nightmarish scenario that would have cost me my last shred of sanity due to all the BS I've been dealing with, it can't be underestimated how p'd off I was. Luckily for me, I have terrible anxiety and bc my last move took so many hours, I haven't been able to sit still and had taken *sixteen* carloads of moving bags over myself before the movers ever arrived. I wanted this move to go so much smoother than the last, and I had two afternoon appointments for various maintenace and install issues with my new house that day of the move. I booked three men and huge truck specifically to make the move fast and easy. If I had not absolutely destroyed my body (thank you, anxiety, for apparently seeing the future and that something would in fact massively go wrong) taking allllll that stuff myself over two weeks after I got my keys on the 1st, there is ZERO shot everything would have fit on the truck, not even half my stuff would have fit. And as a reminder, I specifically booked Bridgetown because they had an inventory from my previous move. I was in the end charged the minimum rate, to "apologize" for the "mixup," but having to explain to Devon and to the two man crew why this was all so frustrating and upsetting is insane to me. I booked 3 guys, giant truck, with BM specifically who had my inventory because I knew how much stuff I had to move. They caused me at least 10 more gray hairs that day. I will never, ever, be using your services again.

I scheduled a move within the same apartment complex. This was not a cross-town move--it was a transfer between two apartments approximately 200 feet apart with identical floor plans. I was given a 10:00-11:00 AM arrival window. The crew did not arrive until approximately 2:30 PM, more than three hours late. During that time, I received no meaningful updates and spent the day waiting. When the crew finally arrived, only three movers showed up instead of the four-person crew I expected. Rather than arriving with a plan, they immediately expressed doubts about completing the move. The manager's response to the delay was disappointing and dismissive. When I explained that the delay was seriously impacting my day, I did not feel that the situation was being taken seriously. Ultimately, the move was not completed. I had to make alternative arrangements, hire additional help on my own, and spend the weekend moving and unpacking largely by myself. What is most frustrating is that I specifically hired a professional moving company to avoid exactly this situation. Instead, the late arrival, staffing issues, and lack of communication turned what should have been a straightforward apartment transfer into a stressful and exhausting experience. I understand that delays can happen. What I cannot understand is the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service after the delay occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.
