Be warned! The management of this company is at least bad at their job. I received a series of quotes through Yelp all around $100 to move a lift-chair from my living room down to my basement. This group provided a phone number and suggested we discuss my project. I called to make sure that they would be prepared to move the heavy chair and that they would not show up until afternoon. A person identified herself as a manager and assured me that the crew would be properly prepared and that i would be contacted to set my afternoon appointment. She also quoted a price of $135 for my job after a special Yelp discount. I received a text later that afternoon saying my move was set for today. I responded to that text by asking what time this afternoon the movers would arrive. I received no answer. I received a phone call from an unknown number at 8 AM but they left no message. A second call came about 10 minutes later from a different unknown number - again no voicemail. My doorbell rang about 8:15 pulling me out of bed and the 2 guys and the moving van were at my front door. They said that no one told them that we didn't want them to show before noon. I had to rush around to move things out of the way so they could move my chair while the movers hung out. The guys did a fine job and were very good mannered. It took less than 20 minutes to complete my task. The cost discussion was a real mess. The movers showed me an Ipad with a cost of over than $600 for my $135 job. It looked like the pad totaled every number on the sheet including double billing a minimum labor charge, a $40 fuel charge, another service charge, sales tax, and the $100 deposit i already paid them. The movers had no idea why the number looked like that. A less nosey person would have been really screwed. The movers called their boss and i contested the amount which led to a series of excuses about connectivity with the Ipad and the number dropped to over $300. That included the fuel charge and an extra charge "to cover the movers time driving to the job". I kept asking what happened to the $135 quote. After several minutes, I gave up and paid $132 in addition to the $100 deposit. I do not recommend All My Sons Moving & Storage. The movers themselves were polite, acknowledged the damage immediately, and even called their manager in front of us to request the claims paperwork. But after that, dealing with management and customer service became extremely frustrating. Our dresser was broken during the move, and despite being told we would receive the claims package, we had to call multiple times before anyone finally sent it. Once we did receive it, the company first offered only $50 for a dresser that was almost new and worth nearly $200. After I said this was unacceptable and asked to escalate, they increased the offer to $100. At that point, I was exhausted and did not have the time or energy to keep fighting over it, so I accepted. It has now been weeks, and I am still waiting for that payment. On top of that, I later discovered that one of our beds was missing almost all of its screws, which I had to replace myself, and another dresser was also damaged. What makes this even worse is that this was a very expensive move for only 1 mile. After the initial discussion of the move cost, the final so-called "itemized" bill ended up being heavily inflated and came to over $1,400. I only received that bill after requesting it several times. The worst part was not even the movers themselves, who did what they could and apologized right away. After reading the previous reviews on here I would say that I have to agree with them. My experience was not good as well. I selected this company due to the fact that they were featured on Affirm, where I could pay for my move in payments. The rate and hour was decent and I figured that it would only take about two and a half hours to send the selected items to my new location. The movers did arrive on time, wrap up selected items with a blanket in about an hour and fifteen minutes. I then get handed a table with a list of documents to review. The suggested minimum price was around 500 dollars. But when they arrived to my new location it jumped to almost 900 dollars! Then when I asked about using affirm the mover nor his boss knew nothing about it. Despite the company being featured on Affirms website. After explaining the situation Affirm was able to be used for payment. After a couple of days I went to install my cable box to my TV. When I pushed the TV stand up what do I see.... damage to my wall to my new apartment . With the money that I paid nothing should have been damaged . I recently hired All My Sons Moving for what should have been a quick, two-hour move with three movers. Unfortunately, the experience left me very disappointed -- not just because of the poor service, but because of the damage done to my property and the lack of professionalism. Before they even arrived, I got a call saying the crew had just finished an eight-hour job and were exhausted. I felt badly for them (it was a hot day), so I made sure to have snacks and drinks ready. Still, from the moment they got there, the lead mover (a young white man in his 20s) seemed rushed, frustrated, and frankly, dismissive. He spoke sharply to the two other movers (both young Black men) in front of me, which made the whole experience feel tense and unprofessional. He moved through my home very quickly and without much care -- not securing heavy pieces, stumbling over items without watching his backwards steps, bumping into things. I had to help guide him through to avoid further damage. They relied solely on my piano's wheels to get it down the truck ramp instead of securing it using the wooden bars on the back meant for moving. I was specifically told when booking this move that they would treat it with care, and that the wheels would not be used to actually move it from the truck. (Thankfully this was not damaged.) The worst part though? I own a Lovesac (around $1,500), and I asked that it be placed in the living room. Instead, it was taken into the bedroom by mistake. When trying to get it out, I said not a problem--I can shrink it later and move it out myself. The lead mover quickly insisted on "flattening" it -- which involved him jumping on it multiple times while dripping in sweat, leaving wet imprints all over the uncovered piece. Then he shoved it through the doorway, where it got caught on the sharp part of the frame by the latch and tore a large hole the fabric. No apology. No acknowledgment of the damage. One of the other movers was kind and sympathetic and even said he wished he had a needle to fix it, but the lead guy just looked at me and moved on. At the end, he made a comment about how he's already had a 10.5 hour day -- and I get that. I'm a nurse. I work 12-hour shifts. But that doesn't excuse treating my move as less important, rushing through it, or damaging my things. I wanted to believe in this company's reputation, but unfortunately, I can't recommend them after this experience. The move I had was the worst experience EVER. The customer service person was excellent, when booking my move, which was the main reason I decided to retain AMS. When the actual movers showed up, with only two men. It was unbelievable, they were leaving my furniture in the hallway, instead of loading immediately, they were moving slow, talking on their cell phones. It actually took ten minutes to wrap a pillow cushion and yet they failed to wrap my end table, which they broke the door of table completely off. They disassembled my dresser with mirror and did not assemble when arriving at new apartment. I asked if they would please assemble dresser, the mover told me he had to get tool from truck and never came back -- super unprofessional -- I was exhausted because I was doing more work than the movers. I had to call relatives to come assist as they were moving so slow. And for the finale, they left all my stuff in the hallway because they claimed "management told them to stop all work at 5:30 pm" I was in shock! I had so many dishes broken. They didn't even bother to unwrap my furniture, just left all the padding blanket/materials behind. First off the so called "movers" called me and stated they didn't have the tools needed to do any disassembling and of course I had a bedframe that need to do that. Called for info. Told 2 men at 169.00 per hr. Plus 1hr travel. Ended 3 men at 189.00 per hr. Move was set for a Sunday told us they would be there at 8:30. they arrived at 12:30. Took them at least 4 hrs to load 2 bedroom, part of living room and furniture from basement. Every time you looked one of them was on their phone. we just had then del furniture and we put it together. Would have taken forever. Called with bill. Over 1800.00. They don't tell you they charge extra for blankets, tape,etc. they also charge an 18% surcharge for gas. By arriving 4 hrs late we had to finish the next day. They don't move any too fast. I would never hire them again especially with all the hidden charges they neglect to tell you about. I complained they were 4 hrs late and person on the phone was like oh well, here's your bill. I was showing my appreciation offering thew soda pop and ice water. I'm beginning to believe that they only emptied out 1 truck instead of 2. I even had a convection/pizza oven. As I said before as I thought to just chalk it up as bad experience something else comes to mind that I should have to locate so that I can use it, I'm discovering I don't have it. It really hurts to know I sincerely trusted them. In fact I remember having to run out of the house to catch one of them to turn a light off they left on in the basement and water running in the wash tube they seemed as though they were really in a hurry to leave that was between 5 - 5:30pm. While they were getting the truck ready I cleared the "tripping hazards. " Instead of telling me it was an unsafe environment, they left without saying a word. We paid a $100 deposit which it was my understanding would go towards the service. The person who gave us the quote also did NOT include the "supplies" that they require the movers to use. We are positive that half of the "supplies" we were charged for were NOT used. Based on the phone conversation for the quote- it was explained that the $100 "deposit" would go towards the amount that was shown to me at the end of the move - but that was not the case. So we paid over $100 more than we were quoted. When we called to dispute this- the man that answered the phone was extremely rude. It should not cost $600 to move one bed within town and pricing should be straight forward/not surprise add-ons at the last minute. When they called to offer a "resolution", the resolution was to tell us that we misunderstood and they didn't owe us anything. ALSO-- One of the movers (Jamel) solicited himself to move the rest of our things on the side, required us to pay a $150 deposit, and then DID NOT SHOW... The three people sent to my office were apparently not informed of the details of the work I needed because John (the apparent lead on this crew) was quite obviously not happy when I went through everything. First, I had crated display cases to move to the second floor. It was obvious that they would not be able to handle moving the largest one up the stairway so I told them to leave it crated and just move it inside so I could call Friedrich, my regular movers. Instead, they uncrated it and ended up breaking all the glass shelves. When I came downstairs to see what happened, John walked out of the building to the truck and never said a word. My building's maintenance crew had to clean up all the crating material and broken glass and take everything to the dumpster themselves. They constructed shelves for me and ended up nicking and scraping the wall in several places. Again - someone else had to clean up the the mess they left. All My Sons is BY FAR the worst company I've had to deal with in a LONG time. That is saying something in this day & age of terrible service (June 2024). TL;DR - These are unserious people at best, but honestly they're just common con artists! DO NOT HIRE! These young "men" left an old man & his wife, along with their autistic son in the lerch on moving day. Their sole goal apparently is to simply maximize the transfer of money out of your pocket into theirs. These con artists charged me a deposit, showed up then left on moving day, didn't refund the deposit & because the "crew lead" showed up with an extreme attitude, once he saw what we had going on (i.e., 25 years of a life in a home), he just didn't want to be bothered with actual work. We sought several quotes on movers. Initially these con artists at All My Sons were the best price at $145/hr for two people plus $100 charge for driving to us. THEN came the "inventory" call & all of a sudden the price went up, because now they needed a THIRD guy to do this move. Right then & there we said we wanted to cancel because now at $198/hr. we just couldn't afford it. I spoke to the Operations Manager (and I believe owner) of the Cleveland office & he was a very reasonable person. Or so it seemed anyway. He worked with me, got the rate down to $175/hr & that was for the three guys so all in all, a win-win & so we booked the appointment. Moving day came, they (Nick, the owner's son) called us maybe an hour before they were supposed to be there & all of sudden said they now needed four guys to do the job. Keep in mind we ONLY hired them to move the heavy stuff that we couldn't do ourselves. All four "men" show up on time at least & I begin to show them the stuff that needed moved. Right away the "crew lead" got an attitude with the stuff in our garage, rolling his eyes & scoffing under his breath. He then immediately started stating that the things I just mentioned to him, aren't in the "inventory" even though I was RIGHT THERE while my wife talked to Nick (again owners son) about that inventory & that because of that the price was going up. That makes the fifth price increase before these jokers lifted one finger!!! Needless to say we will NEVER hire these jokers for anything. I STRONGLY suggest with all seriousness that you find a different moving company because THIS one is a scam. **Avoid All My Sons, this company is dishonest and irresponsible** We hired All My Sons to move a piano from my brother's house to my house, into a room 10 feet from the entrance of my home which we moved into weeks ago. While moving my piano the crew left deep scratches in my previously pristine hardwood floor, put a rug over it and didn't say anything to us about it until I ran out to the crew who were sitting in the truck in my driveway. We were charged $300 more than the quoted amount confirmed via phone days prior to the job. For the damage to our floor, we were referred to the claims department by management. Per flooring specialists we have contacted, the damage cannot be fixed and we will have to replace the flooring in the entire room. My family and I spent hours traveling to different flooring stores, getting quotes, getting the room measured, assured by management that we would be taken care of. The estimates for replacing the floors were around $4,000. All my sons offered to pay $325 for the damage. What a joke. read more

Save yourself and call someone else. I always try to my best to be understanding of mistakes/mis-haps but this was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. In the home we moved out of, the floor was damaged in 3 places, damaged a wood stair tread, and broke the glass railing at the top of the stairs. A console table was also broken. About 2/3 of the house was loaded into the truck when I was told the truck was full. There obviously was no training on how to pack these trucks as much of the space was wasted. The truck was huge and I only had a 2 bedroom (no basement). When I packed, I very neatly and nicely labeled all boxes/bags with what was in them and where they needed to go. I was asked over and over "where do you want this?" Even then, boxes labeled basement ended up on the second floor, clothes ended up in the basement, and little was taken off the 1st floor. Again, I did not expect them to move every single item into place but I didn't think items too heavy for me to lift alone should have been left in the wrong place. On top of this, the washer was left in the kitchen and the dryer was left in the dinning room when they should have been taken downstairs. And if that wasn't enough, they charged fees that I was not told about and/or was told All My Sons doesn't charge "those fees like the other guys." I moved a small home, 3 miles and was quoted around $1200. It cost almost $3k - more than double what I was quoted. Absolutely outrageous this company can justify charging so much for less than average work. I would advise potential customers to reconsider. Save your time, money and frustration. read more

I went with All My Sons as their customer care rep was extremely sweet and we communicated pretty well and she quoted me a great price after telling her everything I had and all I needed. I was pretty descriptive because I knew some of my items would be tricky as I did have a good amount of mirrored furniture in my bedroom. And two very large TVs. She gave me a quote of about $800 at most with 2 movers and maybe the sum of 4-5 hours. I was pleased, and as it was only a one bedroom apartment I thought that would be pretty reasonable. I paid my deposits and set a date and time. She assured me that they would call an hour prior at least and gave me a time window in case they had other moves that day that would infringe. I was okay with that. Fast forward to the day of the move. They called about 20 minutes away from my home, which I was kind of frantic because I wanted to make sure everything was in place so that it would be smooth. Two men showed up and they were easy to talk to and seemed like nice people. When I originally asked them they said it would take about 5 hours max. I was okay with that. They were telling me that they had just gotten done with a big move before they had gotten to me and they seemed pretty beat already. To make light conversation we were joking around and talking about a move that took them 10 hours and I was like wow that must've been crazy! Remember that piece. Anyways all my boxes were pretty much all at the front door to make things easier and they realistically only had to take apart my bed but other than that everything was packed and ready to go. Furthermore everything was being taken out whole so not a lot of dissembling was going on. They wrapped a lot of items which was good and they also wrapped the TVs and put blankets on them which was really important. So hours started to go by, we hit the 5 hour mark and they were still taking things out to the truck. And it wasn't looking like we'd be done anytime soon. At this point I was panicked but kept my cool because I was already stressed about the move. We get to the storage unit where my belongings were going to be kept, and they pull out the iPad with the bill. IT WAS $2,000!!!!!! I was shocked, crying and literally on the verge of breaking down he decides to call his boss and the boss gives me the chance to pay $1,500 and give them the rest of the money at a separate time. I was floored. From my estimate being $800 to $2,000!! I couldn't believe what was happening. I helped them move a lot of my things into the storage unit because I couldn't take anymore because you guessed it, it took them 10 HOURS OVERALL TO MOVE MY BELONGINGS. 10 HOURS. A one bedroom apartment that fit in a 10x10 storage unit!!! I swear I wouldn't trust this company to move a bird nest out of my backyard. I wish I would have read the reviews before booking.
