I'm glad I found this place! I'm new to the area, and while I enjoy a commercial smoothie shop every now and then, it feels great to support a small business. The menu is split into three categories So Mindful, So Balanced, and So Don't GAF which makes it easy to choose based on your mood or goals. Reading through the ingredients actually made sense, and I went with something from the So Mindful section: the Santorini. My smoothie was fantastic quick, fresh, and really tasty. The service was great too Bonus: it's connected to a fish fry market, so if you're looking for something extra to munch on, that's an option as well! read more

I was in the fish place waiting on my food and realized this smoothie place was connected to it. You can literally walked thru the fish spot to get here. Anyhoo walked in the woman working there was looking down on her phone. She wasn't friendly but she wasn't mean either. Maybe she was bored....Lol IDK. I asked for recommendations she told me some of the popular ones. I ended up going with a different one, forgot the name of the smoothie I chose. A bunch of berries were in it! Cute little space. Service was quick and the smoothie was FIRE!!! Omg it was one of the best smoothies I've ever had, my friend said it wasn't all that I was just thirsty.....but whatever I still stand by it was one of the best. Had to go to the Dena to try out this Blackowned smoothie joint. Service was great. The couple who owns the location works as a team . I ordered my drink online and when I arrived it was ready and store in a freezer to ensure freshness . I absolutely LOVED my drink. It's a hidden gem in Pasadena! Off Orange Grove and across from Joe's Ice, So Smoothie is a blink-and-you'll-miss nook. It's very clean and small so not a place to gather a bunch of friends to have smoothies. But if you're in the area and craving something fresh, this is the place for you! The service is very quick! The lady that helped me was very nice! The menu inside the store is different from the menu posted on here so I did take some photos. There's also more selection inside the store as well! Parking is eh. You'll have to find a spot on the street directly in front or park somewhere in the neighborhood. But it's not a far walk, neither! Overall, I highly recommend it! Visit here! So happy I saw this as a recommendation and as I'm local to Pasadena, I had to make my way here because I love a good smoothie. LOVE LOVE LOVE SO SMOOTHIE! I got the split cup with the Packout and the Yea Glow. I LOVE that I could even choose two flavors in one convenient cup. It makes it so much easier to hold while getting multiple options. There's a wide range of drinks available - from sweet to more healthy drinks. Came here today on a whelm because I was hungry but wanted something healthy and not heavy. Decided a smoothie would be a good choice and randomly saw this place as I was driving in the area. I saw great Yelp reviews and wanted to see for myself and YUP! I'll definitely be returning! I met one of the owners today Brittany who provided great customer service. I love that you can get a split cup! Which is a wonderful concept. Being this was my first time here I decided to try two different flavors (can't recall the names) but both are very tasty (I selected from the (so mindful flavors) so like the healthier options. Prices are good, quality is on point, great portion size, flavorful and good customer service. Checks all the boxes for me. It's next door to the fish market and it's black owned! Was next door at Pasadena Fish Market and saw the smoothie shop. All their options looked promising so after we ate next door we decided to support CJ and his endeavor. If you want overly sweet candy instead of a healthy smoothie go here. They tricked me because they advertise putting superfoods in the smoothies like lions Maine, maca and cama cama. I recently took my first trip to So Smoothie. The shop was clean and the customer service was excellent. I was greeted with a smile and recommended smoothie choices when I was unsure what I wanted to try. I enjoyed So Smoothie's drink of the month (August). The fruits used to create my drink were fresh which laid the foundation for an exceptional drink. What I really loved was their split cup option! I have NEVER seen another smoothie place with that! This place is right next to Pasadena Fish Market! We just stumbled in while waiting for our food. The owners were very friendly and got our order done quickly! We two split smoothies, including the flavor of the month. All the smoothie flavors look so good and refreshing, I'm sure we will be back soon! I just took my first sip and it's so bomb. I love Jamba Juice and have for years. I love having a cold drink to sip on throughout the day. Jamba lost its appeal to me a long time ago and I was looking for a new smoothie spot. So Smoothie opens up right around the corner! I follow them on IG because one of my favorite coffee shops posted them and that's how I found out about them. I saw that the owner kept posting energetic videos and just had a chill/fun vibe to her videos. So I go in a couple of weeks ago and I expected to be greeted by welcoming/positive energy and I wasn't. She was very quiet and I even asked her if she had any recommendations after I told her what I usually like and she didn't help me much. I kind of had my bubble poked and busted after that energy shift so I just ordered and sat and waited. Smoothies were fire. I'm just chalking it up to maybe she had a bad day or was extra tired. Or went "gardening" a little too hard before I walked in, but either way I'll be going back since the smoothies were so good but I'll be adjusting my energy accordingly. read more

He saw an opportunity to fill a gap: there were no smoothie spots in the area, no quick and healthy options, and nowhere that truly felt like a vibe. So he saw an opportunity to create something meaningful. He then partnered with Brittany—a true creative and visionary with a background in business and a mind that can bring any idea to life. Together, they blended their strengths to bring So Smoothie to life. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a vibrant, community-driven smoothie shop where every drink tells a story and every customer is welcome. Hey, we’re Brittany and CJ—partners in life and business, and the faces behind So Smoothie. CJ had the vision first. “There was a space next to my dad’s shop, and I realized there was nothing like this around—no smoothie spots, no real healthy options for the community. I’ve always wanted to create something that made people feel good and gave them better choices.” That’s where Brittany came in. “I’ve always been the creative. I started in custom cookies and design, and when CJ shared the idea with me, I knew we could make it something special. Once again, just seems like another place looking to profit off the exoticization of Brazilian cuisine/appeal. I really wanted to like this place, but the cost is wickedly disproportionate to the product quality and quantity.

As I was walking in, I was greeted kindly by the nice lady behind the register. I turned my head to the left and I saw a few refrigerated cases full of juice bottles. It's a grab and go concept. Cool! There are no price tags to them. You will find out their prices at the register. Be ready! This juice shop is very quaint. There are inside seating plus very limited outside seating. They offer free samples of selected juices. They also have an avocado bar. I love avocados! There was a vast number of juice choices. I asked the lady what are her favorites. She mentioned Illumination (this one is my favorite so far... just so refreshing and you can't even taste the turmeric... it's that good!), Marjan's Favorite (be ready... very green!), 50 Shades of Green (this is a funny one and it's also very green), and Serenity (this one has a nice smooth kick to it due to the cayenne). I bought these 4 juices... 2 of them on 2 separate occasions. What I found interesting is that they recycle the juice bottles. They collect $1 per bottle. If you return the bottles, they will give you back $1 per bottle. FYI You may only get reimbursed for 10 bottles per visit. In other words, you'll have to come back to get reimbursed for your remaining bottles. Illumination = orange, apple, pineapple, carrot, lemon, turmeric, cinnamon Marjan's Favorite = chlorophyll, pineapple, aloe vera, cucumber, romaine, persley, spinach, turmeric, chia seeds. Senerity = turmeric, lemon, agave, ginger, cayenne 50 Shades of Green = kale, cucumber, celery, parsley, lettuce, basil, cilantro, mint, spinach, dill, fennel, green pepper, wheatgrass, jalapeño, dandelion, mixed greens, spirulina, chlorophyll I love the natural juices! However, I do find them a bit pricey. It's almost $14 per bottle plus the CRV cost $1. Oh, I also bought Beach Bum (avocado toast) which wasn't too bad, but also on the pricier side for a toast. Hence, 4 stars! Does this deter me from coming back? No, it does not. I may not come here every day, but I will definitely return from time to time. Thank you Kreation J & AB Pasadena!

Long Review: I'm not sure if this place is a franchise, a chain, or what but they have a really good value proposition for healthy juicing. I've tried it many times before writing this review and I'll tell you the quality is pretty consistently good. I would recommend sticking to the pre-selected ingredients for each drink because they are really tasty, cause trying to mix and match can be not as good as you would expect. The other good thing is that they have a wide variety of add-ins so you can substitute your favorite health boosts as you like. The service is friendly and pretty fast, so give them a try.

I visited on Super Bowl Sunday when just one woman was handling everything--both the register and making all the orders. I wish she had more help, but despite being solo, she was incredibly kind and friendly (not sure I would have been in her position!). One small suggestion--there was quite a bit of plastic used for packaging, which seems unnecessary given how fresh everything is. A more sustainable approach would be a great improvement. Overall, it's a great little spot in The Shops on Lake--worth checking out!

Instead of stepping in professionally, the employee rolled her eyes at me and chuckled with the customer. Meanwhile, my order had been sitting under the counter the entire time. When I told management about the experience, they were dismissive and responded with, "Sorry you had to wait for your smoothie," in a tone that felt condescending rather than apologetic. Very disappointing experience.
