I love Yin Yang Tea! When you walk in, you'll see an adorable post-it wall that seems to be from customers, and you will always be greeted by staff! The times I've been here, I've usually seen the same man who never fails to ask if I have any questions and if I wanted something specific, which is pretty cool as I never came across a tea shop that did that! As soon as we opened the door, the girl working yelled out at me saying that she is not taking any more customers and that she is backed up. Mind you there were five people inside. She then continued to say something under her breath and when I asked her what she said, she told me to leave and goodbye, and to complain to her manager about her. I was in complete shock. The fact that there were other patrons and she continued to show her ass in front of them is beyond me. I have never in my entire life encountered someone more rude and miserable than this girl. Memo to the owner, if I were you, I would try to hire friendly people to work at your establishment. I would hate for you guys to have a bad reputation because of one miserable employee. I was in the area and needed a boba milk tea for the road to drive back to SF Valley and found this place. I wanted to go somewhere that has its own parking lot and dont want to have to go to downtown Pasadena. The place was empty when I got here and the guy working there asked if I knew what I wanted. Then he asked if it was my first time there which I said it was. I asked for a regular or house milk tea to which he said they have a regular milk tea. Then I saw on the menu that they have winter melon and I asked if I can change my order ti that. He made it for me and told me if I don't like it, he can make me something else. As soon as I took a sip....I liked it. It reminds me of a familiar taste but I dont know what though. I got it in 50% sweet but its still a little sweet for me. The price is reasonable. The drink was a bit too sweet for my liking but I can't complain as I didn't adjust the sweetness - I'd opt for 75% next time. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality as the shop was located in an unassuming strip mall. They have plenty of options to choose from. Prices are average, and they have double deals which is around $1 off for buying 2 drinks in the same category. The workers are quick and friendly. There are lots of tables inside to stay and hang out, though a downside is that they don't have restrooms available (you can go to Food4Less). read more

I liked that it included 1 free topping with the drink but the sweetness was overpowering for the Passion Fruit Tea. The worker was nice enough to dilute the drink out further. With the Yelp Check-In 20% off, my Jasmine Milk tea with boba came out to be $4.25. There are steeped milk tea and fruit tea options; the standard menu that one would expect. At half-sweet, the tea was strong, but the boba lacked sweetness and wasn't chewy enough. Overall, a decent drink that satisfies the craving. Don't think they have any one specialty drink just yet. While I was sitting at the cafe, a lot of people ordered Thai tea, so will try it next time! Yin Yang Tea is located in the Food 4 Less plaza in the corner, so hooray for the parking lot! There isn't much signage since it's in its soft opening phase, so it might be easy to miss. The store wasn't too busy, but there definitely was a steady flow of customers. Their wifi wasn't set up yet, according to their Yelp page it'll be coming soon. The tables inside were fast food restaurant-style booths, so they weren't super comfortable. I love yin yang tea. I have only been to the location in Pasadena and i haven't had a bad experience! My teas are so yummy and i love that they have so many different flavors to pick and try. The space is big and welcoming. The walls are decorated with drawings on sticky notes, it's super cute. This is a new boba spot that recently opened up. It's located in the same plaza as Food 4 Less, and it was easy to find parking. It was very quiet when i went. Check in on Yelp to get a 20% off. There are also other deals like the Double Deals, two drinks for a price. I got the Signature Milk Tea, which includes black milk tea, boba, and pudding. Loved the pudding. The boba was good but I do prefer softer boba. Never forget to request less ice! I forgot and got a huge chunk of ice. (They should make it smaller ice.) The lady serving me was real nice and after handing me my drink, she told me to try the drink first and let her know if I wanted to adjust the sweetness! She was so kind! We usually drive out to Santa Ana or an Arcadia for some good milk tea or Little Tokyo and Ktown when we are in LA but we no longer do ever since discovering Ying Yang Tea! Their bobas and ingredients are always fresh and they always have everything in stock even when it's busy. They also offer VARIETY of options to choose from milk tea to slushy to fruit teas and more. Their service is amazing and they are always welcoming. Their space is clean and spacious and we usually see only one staff out but they are efficient and fast! Also very very accommodating and will work with substitutions which is bonus brownie points for a lactose intolerant person like me. My personal go to is taro anything and one cold day back in December, out of curiosity I asked if I can have any of the drinks warm and they said pick a drink and they will make it happen. I asked for warm taro milk tea and my life hasn't been the same since. I just got a text from them for a special for the heat wave this week so I will be there once again this week it seems. read more

This is my first time trying this place out and they been open since May 2023. We were greeted when we walked in which told me they have great customer service in general. The interior is very open and big but theres only like 4 or 5 tables for customers to sit at. There was only one or 2 workers there and the lady that helped me was very nice in helping to recommend a drink since it was my first time. I ordered the okinawa (honey green milk tea) with lychee and boba and this might be my new favorite drink. The boba was perfect in texture and wasnt too hard or too soft and the lychee jelly was really a good mix with the drink and boba but just a heads up when they put the toppings they put A LOT like it felt like the toppings were growing in the cup but it was definitely worth the price. I got it with 50% sugar and it was perfect sweetness level.
