I'd walk in and less than 5 minutes I walked out no charge. Call me when you break your screen he'd tell me. Flash forward a few years and enter this business. I'd survived on Android Auto BT devices and wireless chargers for years. My port needed to actually work. Explained what I needed and he quoted I think $35. I could be plus or minus $8; even searched all my transactions for the actual total. Six minutes of work.....Told him the same story I told above and I get quips like that don't pay the bills brah. It's a good deal MAAAAN. Well, I just ordered the S26 Ultra folks. It's coming but a special surprise via the Samsung rep in the nearby Belterra shopping center. So many repair shops either didn't want to bother or quoted a ridiculous, "eff-off" price just to send a message that they didn't want to work on them. He did not. Very knowledgeable and friendly "nerd" owner with a great, customer-oriented attitude. And he underpriced the competition by almost half! (My suspicion is that the others break a lot of screens doing this repair, so they build in the cost of making a mistake into their price; whereas he is careful enough and uses methods to not break the screen so as to not need to build the cost of his mistakes into the price.) FWIW, I have high standards, sometimes think I know too much, and can ask too many questions. Mike indulged me on all questions regarding a simple iPad repair and then some. (Other repair shops didn't want to talk about their methods or ideas). Cleaned my iPhone port for free, too! Very good communication of the risks and options for the iPad repair. I took it back in when Gordon was working (different guy than the one on Sunday). What a horrible, unprofessional and smartass employee!! WOW!!!!!! I've had have my own business for over 30 years.......I couldn't imagine treating a customer like he treated me. He insinuated and basically accused me of spilling something on my keyboard. Pressure on keys were still uneven and backlight on my keyboard didn't work. Whomever installed it obviously didn't reconnect.....so now I type with a dark keyboard at night. Yes, I became angry and was appalled at his narcissistic and accusatory attitude. Asked me what the "residue" was on my keyboard. I walked out with my computer so fast and so mad and insulted.......NOTHING WAS SPILLED ON MY COMPUTER, GORDON!! It was their shoddy work and incompetency to install a keyboard that still isn't right!! He was absolutely disgusting to deal with. What a horrible representation of this business. I did call the Austin stores to share the story. According to the Austin stores, they're not connected, but students at Texas State should be warned about the quality of the San Marcos store.

They give you a 10% off coupon for making an appointment, and make sure to get you right in, and out! They had my repair done in less than 15 minutes, and it only cost $67 for an iPhone 7 screen repair. They didn't mind me bringing my dog in with me either on a very hot day. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again, and refer anyone in need!
