Worst experience, I cracked my screen on my IPhone. I live in DC and was told by asurion to come to the Ibreakufix the Laurel location and they have my replacement screen and an appointment was made when I called at 10am today. After speaking to Asurion I tried calling the Ibreakufix Laurel location to the phone number on google 301-876-1857 and the phone would ring like it's not in service or just would hang up the call. I finally got a hold of a lady employee at 6pm, she immediately said I told you the tech is gone for the day. I told her I have never spoken to her and that I've been calling all day to confirm they had my replacement screen in stock. She them told me there was no appointment and told me to call Asurion back. I called Asurion back and they confirmed there was a 6:30 pm appointment, the lady from the Ibreakufix called me back while I was on the phone with Asurion, I conference the call for all of us to be on the same page. I asked the woman from Ibreakufix could they still replace my screen today for my appointment she confirmed yes. I was coming from Washington, DC and called back and explained I would be arriving at 6:45pm due to traffic, she told me they would still replace my screen today. I finally arrived at 6:50pm and was met by the "Nia" a lady with braids she was like immediately we can't fix your phone, and said I was told the wrong information by her co-worker. I explained that I was coming from DC and that they promised they would be making this screen replacement. The Nia manager just said sorry they told me incorrect information. I was livid at this point and asked for their supervisor and it's when she told me she was the "manager". Nia then said she would drop off the screen to the DC Connecticut Ave Ibreakufix location, I asked her to provide me an email stating this part was going to be sent to the dc location. The manager Nia told me no she was not about to send no email. I asked for her to provide me corporate contact information, she went in the back office and provided me the corporate information. I then asked the manager Nia for her business card, she then responded she ran out of business cards today. She conveniently ran out because I was going to complain about this unprofessional experience. The manager told me she was going to call security to have me removed, I was there with my 8 month old daughter and my 5 year daughter, never did I disrespect her or get loud or curse. This was not a professional interaction that a manager should treat clients. Definitely don't recommend this place your better off going to the mall to have a screen replaced. Nia does not belong being a manager at any location and needs to take training on customer service. read more

I made an appointment for this store at 3, but since I was in the area I stopped in to see if they could see me before then. I explained what happened, and they explained that they couldn't open it up and remove the piece (which I was about to try to do thanks to YouTube), but that they would try to get it out. My son's Nintendo Switch stopped charging months ago in the middle of the COVID shut down. I finally decided to try and get it fixed and found this place randomly. I'm so glad I did. They were very professional and knowledgeable about the system. They had to send it out to a sister store to be repaired but it was completed relatively fast. Located right around the corner from me. This is not the first time I've had to get a screen fixed. But this was the first time I had to so so out of desperation. Im not willing to buy another $1k phone anytime soon, nor transfer all of my goodies to another phone just yet. This franchise has some contract with Samsung (and likely Apple) to fix external and internal issues with the phones. However, be advised it is an "all-or-nothing" fix....so if there is something internally wrong with the phone you are obligated to do everything. So...they gave me a new front screen, a new back/glass screen, and they provided me with a brand new battery. THIS was a shocker and boy did I need one. I have been having to charge this phone every couple of hours. I dropped it off at 1pm. It was ready by 4pm. And i damn near have a brand new phone. Ive always recommended this place. I know you are reading this with your cracked screen and scrolling with your scratched thumb. Just bite the bullet and get it fixed. read more

I dropped off my laptop to this location over a month ago. The man behind the counter said there is only one person who works on laptops/ computers so it may take 2-3 weeks. Cool. 2-3 weeks went by and I didn't hear anything from them. I gave it a little more time because I figured they may just be backed up. However, after 5 weeks I decided to stop in to the store to check on the progress. Well, it turns out the guy who initially took my laptop put it on the wrong shelf and since it was just sitting in the back for weeks, they assumed no one was coming to get it and put it in a closet. WTF?! My information including name, email and phone number were taped onto the laptop, so why would no one call? Then, the computer tech said he was once again backed up for weeks and he would have to put my laptop at the back of the queue. It was their fault that my laptop had not been worked on in 5 weeks, so why not put it first in line?? That's just bad customer service. I'll definitely never try this place again. read more

My experience was amazing. My wife's Pixel 2 display went bad and needed replacing (cracked lcd). The tech told us to call Asurion so that instead of paying $129.99 we would only pay $30. We called and unfortunately it was close to 7pm (closing) finally got the claim through at 6:55. The mobile tech stayed until 7:20 to repair our phone. Awesome customer service. Won't go anywhere else from now on when needing phone repair. read more
