It was completed in a couple of days at which point we picked it up, took it home and discovered that the power button no longer worked. She returned immediately to UTX where the owner informed her that, yep it's broken and "I didn't do it". He then offered to giver her an estimate to repair it if she left it with him! So her cosmetic repair has become a disabling issue thanks to the ineptitude of UTX. Pay the extra and get it done by someone reputable who has some degree of respect for their customers and exhibits some level of responsibility for their errors.

Apple made us make an appointment to get a new phone. On the way out we walked past Appcessories Electronics booth and stopped to ask if they could repair my phone. They were able to replace the back cover as well as install two new batteries (The batteries had pieces of glass in them) as well as replace the screen protector on my phone and my wife's phone all for $209.00. Both employees were very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with. I would definitely recommend this place for all you electronic repair needs.

Recently, I began having "touch response issues", as they called it, (the screen didn't workl), so I took it back on May 4, since the original repair had a six month warranty. I was told it would be ready within 2 days. Well, it was not. I went back to the mall 4 times, and it was never ready, it was always going to be ready tomorrow because the tech had had an "emergency". I could not call them, since there was no working number published anywhere. One guy gave me a phone number, but that was for some guy at Fort Benning in Georgia, who had no connection to Appcessories. After 2 weeks of no response, my husband finally called the mall Customer Service. They were able to find a phone number and contact the ownership. After 2 1/2 weeks, it was finally repaired and returned to us yesterday. It seems to work, I will keep my fingers crossed.

Nikki responded quickly with a fair price, she answered all of my questions through yelp messages right away and provided me with a wide flexible range of appointments (Im a single mother of a 3yo so this was a huge plus!) and said it would take her about 30-40mins to complete. The very next day we headed to my appt, it was right off the highway and easy to locate (tip: when you arrive at the "mini strip mall", you park and then follow the path around to the backside of the building and follow the arrows). My son & I were absolutely amazed by the beautiful setting of this location! The inside of Geek Girl was perfect.. Very chic with the perfect amount of feminine touch to remind you who is in charge Nikki greeted us with a smile and was more than happy to answer any of my questions, i handed over my sad broken phone and then my son & I stepped right outside the office to enjoy the views. She returned my laptop within 48 hours and everything has worked great since. Since then I took her my iPhone 6s after my friend dropped it in the toilet which she fixed within a day. Still unable to charge iPad Pro. The technician plugged in his charge port diagnostic device and showed it was normal. And had current draw. The iPad was able to charge using his cables and power blocks. No fee was charged for that service. Service was quick and friendly. I still got home and was unable to charge my iPad Pro with my existing blocks, but using one of the same cables it seems to charge when connected to my MacBook. So maybe it has something to do with software communication or the usb c controller

A simple phone fix search led me to a small zoned-for-business house on Second St. in Laurel. Even though they were about to close, they fixed my phone and we chatted at their prompting. I didn't want to part with my greenbacks. But the price was less than the last time I had an issue several years ago. And the service was friendly and extremely competent. So here's hoping I never have to see these phone doctors in lab coats again. But if I do I believe their great bedside manner and efficiency will make me a satisfied outpatient and repeat customer.
