UBreakICANTfix Spend the extra money to get your device repaired somewhere else. Their warranty is worthless and will only end up costing you more time. I will never do business with them again and instead will try another company. My story: Oct 10- iPhone X screen repair at Mesa, AZ while on vacation. FaceID no longer working after repair. Took the device back in for a quick check without a solution found. Asked them to notate account so I could get it checked out when back home in the SF area. Oct ~15: iPhone checked out in Cupertino store, no obvious fix for the item. Touched base again with Mesa store and told to go to Best Buy for repair. Best Buy diagnostic with FaceID issues. Called Mesa to verify that BB repair price ($450) was okay. Told to wait a little for a solution since that was expensive. iPhoneX replacement device eventually mailed to me. Nov 9: Replacement device arrives with same FaceID issue as my broken phone. Nov 11: Mail back the broken replacement phone. In discussion with Mesa store- replacement phone being sent to the Cupertino store for me to exchange. After calling for several days after the item had been received based on shipping tracking, the store said they did not receive a replacement phone. (Side note- I still don't understand what happened here. Was a phone even sent to them?) Nov 25: Spoke with Mesa store, who spoke with Cupertino store and decided to have the Cupertino store try another part replacement. Phone dropped off and then picked up again, still broken. Cupertino told me they tried two different screen replacements without success (Side note- I'm not the expert, but I wouldn't expect that to fix FaceID anyway). Spoke with Mesa store and told that he didn't have a solution yet and that it would take until after the holiday to be sorted out. Waited until after the holiday to follow up again. Dec 4: Mesa store contact unable to talk because in a meeting. No follow-up. Dec 5: After having driven to the Mesa store twice, the Cupertino store twice, Best Buy, and the shipping store, in addition to all the time and small fees (shipping, gas) and without any plan moving forward, I called Corporate. Dec 10: After sending the timeline above, I received this response from Corporate: "I would like a little more information on your device. Did you visit the Best Buy location for a repair? I'm working with the Superstition Store on the possibility of a replacement being sent to a store in the area. Thank you for your continued patience." I responded with the information I had previously supplied. Dec 11: Received this email from Corporate: "I am working with the District Manager of the Superstition Springs location on the possibility of a replacement. I will reach out with another update once I have it. Thank you for your patience." Dec 16: I emailed for an update and received this: "I understand you are not looking to have the device repaired anymore because the previous phone had the same issue. I am working with the District Manager on possible replacements. I will keep you updating going forward." Dec 24: I emailed for an update and received this: "Thank you for your patience. I worked with the District Manager of the store and the resolution is to have you visit the store to have a diagnostic done on the device. If the issues with the repair cannot be fixed we can move forward with the replacement as an option. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns." I responded that I've already taken my phone and dropped it off an additional time after the first issue at Superstition Springs and then two separate times at the Cupertino store. It is clear they are not doing anything about this. I have never posted a Yelp review before, but I decided to post when this issue occurred. I have given them 3 months to fix this without any resolution. I have spent hours running my phone around and contacting them to no avail. I finally just requested the money back on my credit card and am calling it a loss. The screen repair was something like $160, and the FaceID repair will be something like $450, so I've clearly lost in this deal. It's constant disorganization and stalling for time, and I don't have the patience to deal with it anymore. Stay away. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I brought in an iPad pro which had a broken screen. The iPad worked perfectly, minus the crack in the screen. They said it would take about a week since they had to order the part. I didn't hear anything so I called them, they said 'We're unable to fix your iPad, it has water damage'. I asked how this relates to getting the screen replaced, because the iPad was working fine and they said once they open the glass, it will break the seal and more water will get into the device. I'm not so sure about that. Regardless, I told them I'd come up and pickup the iPad, at least I could still use it with a broken screen. I get there and it was in pieces, I asked them what happened and they said if they have to remove the glass, it can't be re-attached, as they break the glass off the device. So, now I have an iPad that doesn't work at all. Good times. They should probably tell you 'If your device has water damage, we will not fix it... and once we open it up, the glass can't be reused, ever" read more

Verizon sent me here after my phone overheated and wouldn't turn on the Verizon tech noted no damage I dropped it off the guy behind the counter said Verizon will cover it and I wouldn't have to pay anything he said it would be faster than using the Google warranty since my phone's less than a year old the next day I get a call from ubreakifix saying the my phone screen is cracked and it's not covered under warranty I'm stuck paying the deductible they must've been moving too quick the girl behind the counter even said the Google pixel 5a is a rough teardown read more

This place is the absolute BEST. I brought my Samsung S10 in for a repair and it's now operating perfectly. The screen on my 4 month old phone had cracked & the phone was inoperable without being connected to a power source. Scammers they provided a faulty screen and told me there's nothing they could do because it's breaking i bought there screen protector and have kept a thick case on it 24/7 yet somehow going in and out of my pocket it gets screen bleed and I have to buy a whole new screen. Had a cracked glass screen that was.startimg ro spider out. They were able to fix it within a couple of hours the same day. The price was similar to everyone else I called but they include a.new battery and their warranty was 1 year while some others were less. My daughter broke her charger off in her iPad. I called and was told they could try to take it out, but if not they would be able to replace the charging port. When we arrived it took them 10 minutes and they had her iPad working again. They wouldn't accept a payment or any cash tip. Really incredible. I definitely was impressed today with the team at uBreakiFix in Mesa on Power Road. I needed an iPhone battery replacement, and I had the new part already. It turns out, they were acquired by Asurion which you may know insures cell phones and other electronic devices. For less than I expected to pay for the repair, I had the labor paid for and coverage for my other electric devices for a month! That was compared to Apple's already low replacement cost. Stephen was awesome. His knowledge and customer service skills are impressive, and I am not often surprised by excellence in customer service anymore as it seems that is falling by the wayside in most businesses that I normally encounter. I can see why this store in particular has a 4.5 rating and could be the reason why it's a whole star higher than the Gilbert store which I did not visit. They quoted me the price of $99.95 and said an hour & 1/2 - 2 hours based on where my phone was in line. They were done in an hour! They will also put a screen protector on for just $10! I dropped my Android cell phone off for a battery replacement and was told it would take six hours for the repair to be done. (Not two, like their website promises.) I received a call on my landline a half hour before I was scheduled to pick up my phone telling me the new battery did not work and they would have to order a new one, and that my phone was taken apart so that they could not give it back to me. TWENTY THREE days later, after multiple communications in which they admitted they had actually broken the screen and kept getting in new screens that were broken, I finally got my phone back. I was referred to UbreakitIfix it by T- Mobile for my Samsung phone when it was under warranty. I ended up getting a new phone, but was so.impressed with the CS here, I returned today with my IPAD, old LG smartphone no longer connected and my new Samsung 5G. I signed up for their monthly service plan that covers our Entire household of smart TV. Laptops, phones, Playstation, DVD and disc players and just about everything in my home dogital...even watches. Wow they then proceeded under this plan to transfer and connect just about everything on my phones thought lost...more than in.the cloud. I had thought some important business notes etc lost forever but I 45 min retrieved what looks to be all with all phones and tablet connected. I am returning tomorrow with a galaxy tablet, an iPad has, damaged I phone, & 2 laptops which are now covered under this amazing an to have them fully checked out and if possible fixed, updated or otherwise dealt with as they recommend. It takes 24-48 business days for this much service , but I have finally found a one stop highly recommended Service Store that I felt I could trust. Verizon, T-Mobile stores all send customers here for work either covered by warranty insurance or not. I even found out that my 90 in flat-screen is under the warranty and if it goes out they will come here, take it off the wall, and either fix it or replace it. This replacement of any electronics is incredible offering. An insurance, if true it is an incomparable value compared to purchase warranty service plans. Don't ever take anything here to be fixed! I took my phone to get a battery under a Verizon warranty. I got the battery but they jacked up my phone royally! I lost my fingerprint sign on, it no longer worked and wasn't even an option I'm my security settings. Some of my apps were corrupted and I lost all of my saved passwords in Google. Long story short, I ended up taking it back to see if they could figure out what they screwed up. They kept it an entire day and provided me absolutely no progress updated until they were ready to close. When I picked it up they wanted to keep it and do the reset. They told me it would take 2 or 3 HOURS to reset it. Well I knew that was a lie, so I took my phone back. I then called Verizon again and I had to reset my phone. While I was trying to set it up totally weird things happened , even the Tech didn't know. Do I now have a jacked phone and Verizon is sending me a refurbished phone...whoppie! I'm so mad at ubreak it that I plan to tell everyone I know to NEVER get anything fixed there. Now I have an $800 phone that I just paid off, that might as well be thrown in the trash! read more

We dropped off an iPad on 12/14 and was told that it would be 3-5 days for repair. When I hadn't heard anything by 12/21 I called to check in on the status. I was told that they didn't have the part and that it had been ordered and should arrive before 12/24 and would be repaired before the end of the week. When I hadn't heard anything by 12/28, I called back to check in on the status and was told that the part had been ordered and they were waiting on it to come in. I was told by Frenchie that she was going to check with "distro" and would give me a call back later that night. Well, it's now 2/2 and I haven't received any calls so I reached back out to them, again. This time I was told that the screen I needed was out of stock and they could, instead, replace with a white screen or I could wait- FOR THEM TO ORDER THE NEW SCREEN. So, it's been 3 weeks with zero communication from the store and we're where we were when we dropped it off on 12/14.
