Fixed the charging port on my iPad Pro 6th gen…read more The 6th gen iPad Pro has a flimsy but expensive screen that needs to be removed to replace the port. So many repair shops either didn't want to bother or quoted a ridiculous, "eff-off" price just to send a message that they didn't want to work on them. He did not. Very knowledgeable and friendly "nerd" owner with a great, customer-oriented attitude. And he underpriced the competition by almost half! (My suspicion is that the others break a lot of screens doing this repair, so they build in the cost of making a mistake into their price; whereas he is careful enough and uses methods to not break the screen so as to not need to build the cost of his mistakes into the price.) FWIW, I have high standards, sometimes think I know too much, and can ask too many questions. Mike indulged me on all questions regarding a simple iPad repair and then some. (Other repair shops didn't want to talk about their methods or ideas). Cleaned my iPhone port for free, too! Very good communication of the risks and options for the iPad repair. I recommend them very highly to my friends, and now to you.

The guys at Free CheckFix took my problem in stride and found a way to get my printer to communicate with my computer. When returning home with my working system I was trying to shut the truck door while holding the brother laser and promptly dropped the printer on the driveway and trashed it. Mark and David found a new Brother Laser and a new CPU that could run windows 11 and together they were cheaper than what I paid for the old laser printer. The prices were low, service high and attitude was positive ............... I'm very lucky I discovered them

Props to these guys for several reasons!…read more I cracked my iPhone screen and was looking at either paying over $300 for Apple to replace it, or just making an excuse to buy a new phone. Not crazy about either price, but def not crazy about the price of a new phone at over $1K. Who has that to just throw around, amiright?! So, knowing third party repair places can offer better deals, I checked these guys out, and here's where the reasons for the props come in: First, No appointment needed! Just come on in and they can get it done. So much less stress than wandering to an Apple Store after making an appointment online, waiting for an advisor...OMG, I'm getting so bored just writing that that I want to take a stress nap. Second, two repair options, and both are under $200!! Let's see... almost $400 or...less than $300...no brainer. Sure, it's not an "official" Apple repair, but, whatever...it's not like I have a new model phone still under warranty, and the screen seems just fine after I got it back and tapped my grubby fingers all over it to write this review. Third, repair time was UNDER AN HOUR!!! Try to get an oil change in that amount of time! With Apple I'd be looking at *hopefully* at best, same day. At worst...days later getting my phone back. I don't know about you, and I'm slightly ashamed to admit this, but my phone is like the third arm that I wasn't born with but eventually got, and so it goes everywhere with me. Almost. But it's greatly missed when it's not on me, and I feel like a kid lost in the woods--how can I navigate with my GPS?!?, I don't know what lunch places are around although I've lived here for 15 years!!!, how do I call my family?!? Their numbers are ON MY PHONE, not in my head!!! Ok, those were extending the truth a bit, but you get the idea and can relate. Moral of the story is that if your phone breaks, give these guys a try. They're definitely a good option to consider.

If I could give iTech 10 stars I would. Note: THIS IS NOT A PAID OR SOLICITED review…read more A bit of background... I've been having issues with my Samsung phone where the phone will be fully charged and less than 4 hours later, while only on standby, be totally dead. On Saturday, I took the phone to The Best Buy (I originally purchased the device at a Best Buy) in Round Rock, which is the only one of their stores in the Austin area that services the device. The "technician" tested my device and said the battery was fine and they couldn't replace it because it past their "thorough test". Not one to take things at face value, I went over to iTech in the Domain. The technician was knowledgeable and pleasant and agreed there was something up with the phone. He opened up the device (with me standing there) and to both of our surprise the battery was swollen to twice it's correct size and ready to explode. Remember all those people who couldn't get on airplanes last year because their Galaxy Note 7's were ticking time bombs?...yeah like that! New battery installed and I've had zero issues with it since. Apparently, Best Buy's rigorous test was to ask "is it a battery?" and if the answer is "yes" it passes. I will NEVER give Best Buy my business again. Not only did they fail to correctly diagnose the issue with my device but they let me walk out the door with a device that could have caused physical harm or fire damage. (and yes, I'll be leaving them a review also.) So, in short, bring your device to iTech in the domain with the confidence that it's in good hands. Best Buy....I hope Amazon puts you out of business.

The Genius Bar at Apple told me it could not be repaired and I would need to replace the Logic Board for $850 or "just buy a new one." A local (Orange County) 3rd party repair shop, after having it for a week, told me it couldn't be repaired. I then went to Reddit for help and suggestions. There were several referrals to Rossmann Repair Group. I contacted them through their online contact form. They immediately messaged with a few more questions and then gave me the necessary details to send my device to them in Austin. I did so - of course, the holidays slowed things down a bit, but by the second week in January, I received word that my lap top had been successfully repaired, losing NONE of my data. Amazing! The cost? A mere $459 which includes shipping back (USPS) to me, signing at delivery. I did have go pay for shipping to get it to them. Totally worth it to me. To insure safe and speedy delivery, signing upon delivery, to them. I paid about $89 for UPS, not including double boxing and bubble wrap. So, in total, I paid $638, for shipping to, repair, shipping back. I didn't lose ANY of my data. I am sooo happy and thankful to Rossmann Repair Group. Thank you!!!

After about 5 minutes he came back stating the power rail was broken, but I did not proceed with the repair, as the cost of repair was more than the value of the laptop. The quote was half of Apple's quote and came with a guarantee if that I will not pay if they can't successfully fix it. This is miles better than the Apple store as they would make you wait over 15 minutes even though you had an appointment just for the "genius" to say you need to quote an $800 logic board replacement. Best of all there was a cool painting of Clinton the cat!

There was no a the remedy offered as far to look at the phone and tell me what's wrong with it. And how much it would cost? To get it fixed. There was no other options offered to me. It seemed as if the guy was more worried to get me out of the store so he could get back to doing whatever he was doing in the back. Pretty lame customer service, if you ask me. Whenever the guy finally came up front i explained to him that I was sent here by Samsung to have them. Look at my glitching phone front screen am I two months old, samsung Z Fold 6. He asked me to take my phone, protect her. Off the phone so he can inspect the phone. The guy literally looks at my phone and within 30 seconds. He says, oh man, your phone is severely damaged. Which clearly is simply cosmetic on this shaft of the phone. He made it as if the phone was completely destroyed and it can no longer be under warranty. But when you look at the pictures, you can clearly see that is cosmetic scratches on the phone. No damage to the front screen, no damage to the main screen and no major dents in the phone. It seemed as if the guy wanted me to hurry up and exit the building as if I was interrupting whatever he was doing, that was causing him not to be at the front desk. When I first arrived into the building. Needless to say, this is not over. I'm gonna take this to Samsung. And they're gonna look at the situation and get this taken care of but I would not send anyone to this business.. And on top of that, when I was leaving, I guess he calls himself being i'm sarcastic by telling me to have a great remaining the rest of my day. That gave me confidence I was dealing with someone honest and knowledgeable -- no upselling, no guessing. From there, everything was easy. I don't have a car, and he worked with me to make the process simple instead of turning it into a hassle -- that alone was a huge plus. He replaced the drive and even charged less than what I found at Best Buy, which honestly surprised me. The end result? My computer is running like it should -- fast, smooth, and no more frustration. It's rare to find someone who's skilled, fair on pricing, and actually easy to work with. Jason checks all three.

On May 14th of 2026 my sister and I took my computer over to Jason's Computer Repair, on May 25th Jason sent me a text saying my hard drive was failing, that I needed a new one and the cost would be $499.00, he said someone else would charge me thousands (I am repeating what is on the text from Jason) I said okay to the $499.00 plus tax and I waited and I waited, he said he had to order the new hard drive, so I waited and waited. On June 2nd Jason said he had the new hard drive and needed another day or 2, On June 9th Jason said I could pick up my computer and I did. The next day my computer crashed again. So I decided to purchase a new computer and when the tech came to my home to set up my new computer, he asked where is your old hard drive, I said Jason Computer Repair didn't give it back to me. I text Jason I would like my old hard drive back, he lied and said he gave it to me the day I picked up my computer that I must have lost it. I said no you did not give it back to me. I was getting nowhere with Jason so I took my original old computer that Jason said he put in a new hard drive in to A computer Engineer in Austin, What they found inside was an old hard drive, older than my old computer (there was no new hard drive and he did not download my old info onto the old drive he installed. The computer Engineer gave me the proof of the older hard drive and they could not recover any of my data, there was nothing. So I gave Jason another chance and asked him if he would look around to see if he could find my old hard drive and he lied and still insisted he gave it to me. I have no idea what he did with my original hard drive or who has all my old info. Now I am experiencing stolen identity. My Amazon Prime account stolen, I have had to report all my credit cards stolen...it is a nightmare. All my info with user names and passwords were on that original old hard drive, My social security info, my medicare info, etc. etc.....I do not know for sure if Jason sold my info but it is sure crazy that he will not return my original hard drive....Did he put in someone else's computer ? Did he sell my info ? I don't know for sure what has happened to my original old hard drive, all I know is that Jason was the last person to have it and is lying about giving it back to me. I ask how someone can do this and I just don't know unless he is selling info for money? All I know for sure are is that we trusted Jason and took my computer to him on May 14th, I picked up only my computer on June 9th, Jason refuses to return my original hard drive, he did not replace with a new hard drive and charged me for it. It is the worse computer experience I have ever had. If anyone else has had a bad experience with Jason's Repair Service, Please phone me at 512-415-9116 Jason this message is for you; if I find any bad review about my business then you will be in worse trouble. I have never done any Real Estate business with you! Unless you decide to return my original old hard drive I in trusted with you...I will drop further actions on you...if not, you will be hearing from me through legal system. I have never had to do anything like this nor leave a bad yelp review but, this is bad what you did and you need to be held accountable. Terri T.
