The young guys working at this store were rude and incompetent. They were dishonest about the status of their work replacing the broken screen on my iPad, and after weeks of telling me it would be ready "tomorrow" they ended up ruining the battery as well as the screen. After having it in their care the iPad was destroyed and had to be trashed with no trade in value. I would avoid this store at all costs. read more

This review is for the location at Camelback and 16th Street.  I called to find out how much it would cost to replace the battery of my Note 10 (it's swelling, and separating the back along the edges).  He quoted 89.99, and told me that they could do it today if I could be there before 5 (it was 4pm when I called).  I got ready and went over there (not a short drive).  There were three other customers in the store.  One was a lady who was very displeased with the way her computer had been reset and kept telling one of the employees that she wanted to "cancel". The other employee was telling a lady at the counter that she could purchase a protection plan for 29.95 per-month, etc.  The third was a man who appeared to be checking the repair made to his notebook (and it appeared okay). The man behind the counter asked me why I came in.  I explained, and showed him my phone.  He told me that he couldn't promise that my phone would be fixed that day, it might have to be there during the weekend.  He also said he wasn't even sure they had the parts to do the battery replacement in-stock.  I said goodbye, and left.  Fool me once.... read more

This place is the worst I had my laptop work on for battery replacement and they said that they could do it and next thing I find out they shipped my laptop out without my permission or even notifying me and when I got my laptop back it had alot of scratches and damaged the disk loader I dont reccomend that you go to this place its the worst and staff is very rude. read more

Waited 2 weeks for the battery for my Samsung note 9 to arrive. Received a call from U break I fix at 7369 West bell road in Peoria and was told the battery was in and replacement would take 45 minutes. Brought my phone in on Saturday 9/17/22 at 13:00. Nice fellow with blue hair tells me it'll take 4 hours and that the phone is under warranty, no charge. I returned at 17:00. Blue hair tells me they're just finishing up (lie) and I wait in their retail store for another 30 minutes. He's back, tells me that they haven't received authorization from Samsung, they have requested it 2 hours ago. He said, Authorization is not likely to happen today so I can pick up my phone Sunday, maybe Monday. Absolutely, Not an option! I need my phone for work, I need it today. I offered to forgo the warranty and simply pay for a battery placement for my phone. He says No. The only option was to hold my phone ransom. Now I'm upset and I asked to speak to the manager. In walks the condescending, arrogant, Derek R. AKA Store Manager. I explained the situation, pointed out we were near the 5 and a 1/2 hour mark and again I offered to forgo the warranty and pay for battery replacement. Derek's only reasonable solution was to remove the new battery (installed hours ago) and put my old battery back in the phone. Bear in mind, the Phones imei number was used to confirm the phones warranty status which is why they went forward with the battery replacement. Now my head is about to explode and I'm pretty sure the Fword came out of my mouth. Raising my voice, I said, I don't care what you do, I want my phone back! Derek goes behind the screen and with a great deal of sarcasm, he says, "Oh, you'll get your phone back all alright." Derek and the blue haired boy began to giggle like 2 school girls. It would appear that upsetting customers was hilarious. I waited another 10 minutes for Derek to remove the new battery and Put the old one back in my phone. He comes back out to the front desk, slides the phone toward me, And says with a grin, and more sarcasm, " It really is too bad, we just got that confirmation from Samsung." Derek deliberately removed the new battery and replaced it with the old battery Even after receiving the long awaited Email from Samsung. Really! Yes, really. Disgusted, I simply left. I am 61 years old, a female and a United States Army Veteran. I may be old, but I'm not stupid. If Derek feels at liberty to treat me with such disrespect and disregard, you can be sure he's doing it to others. This level of ego and incompetence baffles the mind. This disrespectful kid is a blight to the company and it would serve them well to check his bad behavior. God bless. read more

I have an X. Prior to upgrading I had an iphone 3s for many years before deciding to upgrade...never having dropped it but it was time to upgrade. When I upgraded my phone to the X I was happy with it for a few years and dropped it. I brought it to uBreak (and) it will break again due to the bad workmanship in September of 2020. Out of the blue today I could no longer see the screen. The phone has not been dropped and I brought it back to see what happened. They explained that the 90 day warranty was expired and they could do nothing. A women came out of the back as I was explaining that this was due to the workmanship not due to having dropped it and she said, "you dropped it once and you dropped it again and we're not fixing it". I asked her to not make false inferences, that the phone was not dropped and this was something on there end. They did not honor there workmanship. $270 later and the phone only working for 6mos after they so calledly fixed it. I do not recommend. read more

I cannot recommend these folks enough. The factory installed screen protector on my Samsung Galaxy S20 5G was damaged and needed replacing. No other shop near me was willing to help out due to it being a newer phone with a curved screen. The team at uBreakiFix communicated with me that they would replace the screen protector for free if I purchased my own 3rd party screen protector and brought it in. I have always struggled applying screen protectors on my own. They applied it to near protection for free. The wait was only a few minutes, even with COVID limiting their in-store capacity. If I have any future issues with my phone, I know where I am going. read more

Dropped my Xbox off to be fixed (unit was not showing any picture) and was told it would be 24-48 hours to get an estimate. No one called so at 72 hours I called to check on things. I was told it was the retimer chip for the HDMI ports and that it will be 2-3 days to come in and another day or two to complete the repair. After waiting 5 days with no update I had to call again on day 6 for an update. I was then told that it was unrepairable and they don't know what is wrong with it. If the communication was clear I'd have no problem using them again. But the fact that I had to be the one to reach out multiple times to inquire about the issue is inexcusable. Friendly people but 0 follow up and unable to complete the repair leaves this at 3 stars for me. read more

Our iPad has a cracked screen protector. I ordered and received a 2-piece replacement protector set from Amazon. I called this place and explained I wanted a professional to install it for me and I asked what they would charge me (thinking maybe $10-$15, which I was prepared to pay). They said "sure, bring it in, NO CHARGE" (!!). I went there and the tech opened the Amazon package only to discover that both protectors in the package were damaged in shipping. So he offered to sell and install a protector he had in stock for only $20. Great! He had it finished in 5 minutes and I was out the door. Now I will return the damaged items to Amazon. The repair was fast, cheap and looks new. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended. I will return for any future needs. read more

It's a damn shame YELP does not allow 0 stars! Took my Nintendo Switch on 5/16/20 with the need for them to replace the charging port. Justin advise they needed to inspected the devise 1st to make sure that was the problem. (I agreed...which makes sense) 3 days later Justin calls me and states..."I found the issue and it is the charging port. It will cost you $189" (seem high,but I agreed) on 5/21/20 Justin calls me and tells me he needs to replace both LED/LCD screen because the port was not the issue. (Isn't this why you "inspect" it?) of course I made a big deal about it and he advise they will replace the screens for the same price $189 BUT it would take a few days for the parts to arrive. Ok....let's move forward with the repairs.... One week passed and nothing....I decide to call & check status. They advise parts hadn't arrived. But to check with them on 5/25/20 I called and once again & parts hadn't arrived...Justin advise "eBay" hadn't shipped the parts....at this point I started to question why a renowned repair shop would be using used parts. I called back on 5/30/20 because I hadn't heard anything from them. Once again they advise parts hadn't arrived...I tried to explain the lady my frustration about this whole situation & all she said was "sir....you can come & pick up your devise if you want" I couldn't believe she had said that! I had already waited this long,so now your gonna fix it. She advise they had order the part form another vendor (which they should have thought of that 2 weeks earlier) & it would be there no later than 6/11/20. I called Justin on 6/12/20 and he advise parts finally arrive and that it would take 2 days for the repair. I called back 6/15/20 & Justin advises me the switch will be ready by 5pm. Justin calls me just to tell me the switch is doing the same thing and that he recommends me to take it somewhere else. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! You WASTED MY F***** time! I waited a month for you to tell me this? Then Justin has the audacity to say "well....I'm not charging you" No s**** buddy! You can't charge the consumer for something you didn't repair! I decided to ask for the owners # but Justin advise he couldn't provide me that info....but that he would call him to see what they can do for me. Justin calls me back just tell me that his boss Jim advise to give me $40 credit for any other devise I get fix with them. You really think I'm coming back? Do NOT bring your equipment to this place!!! Their customer service when there was a problem was HORRENDOUS! Their "Manager" was either not empowered to fix the issue or just did not care. Either way he said that it was not covered by warranty! What happened is this....I had my screen on my iPhone 10 plus replaced the first week of October and last night I simply pressed on the screen (I had the phone upside down and I pushed where the "Home" button is and the screen CRACKED! It appears to me that the glass was either defective or installed wrong. Either way, pressing on the screen should NEVER have caused this damage. The "manager" said it was not covered. He was NOT helpful and did NOT provide the customer service I had expected from this franchise!! I have contacted the corporate office and I will update this with their resolution. Used this location in the past and it was great. Unfortunately this time the service rep that was working was horrible. Older male -- seemed very flustered possibly due to customer count as I was there in first hour of opening on a Monday. Waited my turn -- greeted with rushed spiel -- he saw my S10+ - said he would check for glass -- came back quickly and said they were out. no offer to order - no offer to check other stores. I called another location - they too were out but promptly offered to order and said it would be in the next day. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE; I made an online appointment, received a confirmation email and spoke to a gentleman because I had a question about the online process. When I arrived I was told they don't accept appointments. Clearly I had the email stating otherwise. The customers in line got VERY upset with me thinking I was trying to cut the line. One customer yelled at me to get out of the store and held the door open for me to leave!! I called from the curb and spoke to the man at the front desk and told him I was there. Trying to get my Samsung fold 3 screen protector changed. Had to be done with special equipment. Samsung support referred me to Asurion transferring the call directly. Told they had part and to go in to complete. Only 1 hour to fix. Went and told they have to order part. Called 2 days later after they got part, and told to come in. I went to Asurion on Camelback and told they need Samsung authorization. That would take 24hours. I called back 2 days later and told no auth received. Again called and told no auth, must have been denied but they have no way of looking that up. Told to go in again and restart process. Of course I have wasted enough time on their incompetence and will just send the phone to Samsung directly. Terrible service and attitude. read more

In the middle of a global pandemic, the lobby was organized, associates and customers were all masked and social distancing was practiced. I don't remember the associates names, 2 gentlemen that worked the AM shift on 7/13/20, (technician installed my CREATE by LOGITECH iPad Pro adaptable keyboard missing up arrow key if that rings a bell?) and front desk agent was courteous and efficient. The did a very messy job fixing my iPad, not to mention screwing up my lcd behind the glass screen. I went in just to get the glass fixed. I got my iPad back dented all around the screen and there is a constant black spot on my screen where the lcd is messed up (I did not do this). Also, they convinced me to sign up for Austin home plus and told me I'd get $25 off my iPad price. This was a lie! They charged me $25 the next day and I was not aware of this. These people act nice but they are very misleading and will do a poor job fixing your screens. read more

I took an iPad to get the screen repaired. They replaced it with a part that was not authentic. I could not use a holder that is magnetic. When the cover was opened and rested on the back the iPad would turn off. That was the first strike. Now for the second strike. I took my iPhone to get the battery repaired. They broke it and did not make it right. They said they would refund me and I have yet to see a refund. So I was just plane screwed. I tell everyone that you are luck if you ever get it fixed correctly. I will never go to these amateurs again. Just take it to the dealer who makes the product only. I was happy with the service of replacing my phone screen. Very unhappy with the mask enforcement. There was one girl with it down below her upper lip, which bothered me. When I went back to pick up there was a man with no mask at all. I ended up having to wait much longer to enter the building after a washout period that I would feel comfortable with. Dropped my mac off on a Monday to be simply looked at to see if repairs were possible, was told there was a 4-5 day wait on requests due to a busy time. After calling twice a week for 3 weeks asking politely what the hell was going on I never got a clear answer after being promised each phone call my device would be looked at it and I would be followed up with thereafter so I had to go in myself to be told that they just didn't feel like ordering the parts. Well honey you could have not jacked my property from me for weeks after it was delivered and gave me a call to let me know as promised- sorry customer service is a critical part of business. I felt belittled, I explained that I'm not the type to call out a bad job at a business but I did and the staff didn't even apologize, they were angry---the same vibe I got when I first arrived. First impressions...don't take them for granted. Don't take your expensive devices to a repair store that has a ridiculous name that isn't even in plain english.
