I started to go to Dr Uchizono when I had to get my crown put back while my dentist was on vacation. He did it without charging! He is truly a caring dentist and take an approach that is more patient centric! Then my husband started to go to them. Roger's nephew Russell is now in charge. Russell is also smart, caring, friendly, knowledgeable! He explains pros and cons on every treatment and empower us with knowledge to make good decisions. Office staff are super nice too! You can tell that they were treated well by the employer. I'm bringing my kids to Dr Uchizono now they are a bit older. Be aware that Dr Uchizono gets booked way in advance. So it is a must to call two months prior to the route check up and cleaning. But they will squeeze you in for emergency. read more

I had an entire conversation with him specifically to ask him about something, and he repeatedly said that what I was asking about couldn't happen, and later he denied it and insisted vehemently that he would never say that. He actually argued with me about something I heard him say repeatedly for an entire conversation that was specifically for that. Seems to have severe neurological issues. I'm talking about Dr Rodger Uchizono. Can't be trusted. read more

I have been a patient of the previous lead dentist, Dr. Rodger Uchizono, for about 30 years, and I am so happy (and relieved!) that the level of care, consideration, expertise and advice has not changed since Dr. Russell took over the practice. I couldn't be happier with the care received from both! Most recently, a crown (that dated back to the 80's) popped off. Dr. Russell got me right in to take care of it. The old gold crown was in terrible condition (with holes in it!) so he sent it home for me so I could keep or cash in on the gold, and made me a temporary. The temporary was causing me some problems so I went back the next day and he adjusted it and no more problems. He's just as good as Dr. Rodger. I have referred several friends and family members to this practice and everyone love them too. Highly recommend! read more

Dr. Russell Uchizono treated my mom's toothache caused by a cavity. His office scheduled my mom in last minute so she wouldn't have to suffer over the holidays. The care, diligence and tenacity with which the doctor diagnosed my mother was truly remarkable. He was present in the moment, willing to listen, and take a properly thought out approach. You'd think an office like this would have more modern tech but they couldn't even give me an X-ray that accurately showed the extent of my roots/nerves that are under my teeth. Amazing staff! I needed a last minute appointment to use my dental insurance benefits before it expired so I reached out to this office. To my benefit, there was a last minute cancelation so Graciela reached out to me to fill out patient history forms and new Covid precautions via email. During my visit, Graciela took my temperature and Carol immediately took me into a room to take some x-rays. Carol, the hygienist throughly cleaned my teeth as I was there for a routine cleaning. She was super sweet and I love that she was informative on how to care for my teeth and gums. I was greeted by Dr. Russell Uchizono who was very caring and efficient with my exam. My tooth broke and I made an appointment from the Yelp reviews I had read. When I got to the office I saw Dr. Russell and was so happy to have such a pleasant dental experience. He did a filling and it was done. Before I went in I thought they will do a crown and it will cost me a lot of money. He made me feel welcome and relaxed. The next time I went back I met Dr. Rodger and once again, he just welcomed me and said we want to save you money. Stacey always cleans my teeth so I don't really know any of the other hygienists, but at this point I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else! I wanted a dentist with Open hours on Saturday so as not to take time off work during weekdays. Turns out I hit gold with Dr. Uchizono. He has the softest gentle touch. I've been going to Dr. Uchizono for the last 20 years... he's just THAT good. I cracked a tooth pretty badly recently and the dentist I went to in Seattle said that it was a lost cause. After getting a second opinion from Dr. Uchizono, I was relieved to hear that it could be saved through a root canal and crown. Not only is his work good, his network is great. He referred me to an endontologist that was excellent. Coming back to get the crown work completed, I was completely satisfied with the fact that it was painless, and that I have full functionality of that tooth again. I have had the good fortune of having Dr. Roger as my dentist for 10 years. Dr. Roger and his staff are always very easy to get a hold of, a pleasure to visit, and always answers all my questions about any work to be done on my teeth. Dr. Roger is very professional and always helps me understand any procedures I am undergoing. He is very passionate about his practice and truly wants you to be a happy patient. I visited his office years ago with my then 7-year-old daughter. We did not have an appointment but he stopped what he was doing in the middle of the day and came out to the lobby. He gently spoke with my daughter about good dental hygiene and other things as well to make her feel comfortable. I first came here about a year ago, because of all the amazing yelp reviews. They are absolutely true in my opinion. Dr. Uchizono is very intelligent, patient, friendly, and takes great pride in his work. He explains the diagnosis, treatment options, and procedures very carefully. Most importantly he does not try to push or sell any unnecessary procedures that you do not want or do not need. He is a person of faith and integrity who prides himself in providing his patients with excellent service and outstanding care. He is not about the money, but about the quality of care, which is very rare in this day and age. His prices have been extremely reasonable. He takes his time and makes sure that you have been properly anesthetized. So of all the dentists I have seen he and his staff have been the absolute best at pain control and anesthesia.
