This review is long overdue! Earlier this year I called Uff Da Logisitics to see if they would do a very small job for me. It was moving furniture and junk from one room to another or to my garage. I wasn't sure they'd even be interested in such a small job but they immediately scheduled me. Quentin and Joe showed up as scheduled and moved all my stuff in less than half an hour. I was VERY happy with their work. They were very careful to not ding my doorways. They also said they do dump runs which may be the next call I make! I was searching for company to move 1 piece of furniture, a 160-year-old antique glass fronted cabinet. The distance was only from S. Bellevue to Redmond. The estimates that I received were in the range from $500-$600! I felt this was rather exorbitant and was not comfortable paying this. I then reached out to Uff Da Logistics. The quote they provided was $230 total - no other fees on top of this. Dominic and Tomas were extremely competent movers. The cabinet arrived safely with all glass intact! They hauled it up my steep wood staircase to the 2nd level of my home and maneuvered it around a narrow corner. At several points, they checked in with each other on precisely how they were going to navigate the best path for this fragile piece of furniture - I was quite impressed. For an additional $80, they then took the cabinet that I was removing to my Mom's home up the street, brought it in safely and even placed a piece of heavy artwork on a high shelf for her. Requested for our China, Curio Display Lighted Cabinet to be picked up and transported to Ballard Consignment Everett Store. Pre planning, estimated cost and scheduling date were smooth, efficient and date/time arrangements were scheduled within a reasonable time frame. We were fortunate as this all occurred within a week. On the scheduled I was alerted about the crews' estimated arrival time and they arrived as predicted. Both Joe and Quentin were congenial, communicative, professional and efficient. Joe was very effective in problem solving the removal of a tempered glass shelves placed in a very tight, limited lower cabinet section. Both workers communicated effectively with each other enabling them to move a very heavy, glass wood frames curio cabinet. They took careful steps in preventing damaging the glass shelves, 4, as well as the glass window panes, 9, on the cabinet. We had a good overall experience with Uff Da Logistics--quick response when scheduling, smooth delivery and removal, and the crew showed up on time and worked efficiently. Initially, two cushions from our old couch were left behind during the removal. I followed up a couple times and didn't hear back, which was disappointing and left me with a less-than-great impression. Update: I did eventually receive a response from the business, and they addressed the issue. I really appreciate them following up and making it right. That kind of accountability goes a long way. Once you make your purchase at Ballard Consignments your piece can sit for a week there. In that time you contact "Uff Da!" with pics, location and logistics of your residence and they'll fit you into a delivery schedule and quote. The day the guys showed up, they had plenty of help (3 Guys) and they were able to get the couch and chair through the narrow corridor of our apt. They take Venmo which is pretty cool although there are other forms of pay of course. So if I happen to buy anything else from Ballard Consignment and it's big and heavy, I'm getting Uff Da! Summary: I had Uff Da deliver a heavy tv cabinet and side table from Bellevue Consignment to my home and my hardwood floor got scratched up. Paul and the delivery person's response made the upset even worse. What I expected was an apology and potentially some money back to repair the floor, but nope, all I got was rudeness. Details: Paul was initially responsive via text and phone to set up the delivery and a quote. Then on the day of, two guys showed up with my furniture. Their names were Tomas and another guy (sadly didn't catch his name - he was nice). Tomas was the main communicator, and I don't think I saw a single smile from him the whole time. They brought in the cabinet in two pieces and put them in the general area of the room I wanted it in. After they set it down I asked them to let me put felt pads under it because I was worried about my refinished wood floor. Tomas pushed back saying that it already had pads, albeit thin ones and that it should be ok. He also told me that the thing was so heavy that I wouldn't need to anchor it to the wall. Which was a crazy suggestion to me since I have young kids which he saw running around all hyped up. I saw them shift the cabinet over further into the corner and then looked over the furniture before signing off. I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THE FLOOR before signing, not just the furniture!!! That night I moved the cabinet a little to get access to the back to get cables through the pre-made hole in the back. When I pushed it back into place, I noticed gouges in the floor. I was UPSET. One of the scratches wasn't even close to the parts touching the floor, so I think maybe it was done during the delivery. The parts that did touching the floor had huge gouges. It's possible that was done by me when moving it, but that 100% wouldn't have happened if Tomas didn't push back on my requesting to put new felt pads underneath. I was so frustrated. I texted Paul who I saw had opened my text but didn't get a response even the next morning. At 2pm I sent another text when he said something along the lines of "Sorry, I just saw this. I'll talk to the delivery guys." A couple hours later he said the delivery guy would call me - which they did, and I talked to Tomas. He insisted the pads (yes, the thin ones) were on the furniture piece when he loaded it into his truck. He also said the company isn't responsible for that kind of thing because it's a consignment item and they can't guarantee the felt is good. (WHICH IS WHY I HAD ASKED TO PUT NEW ONES!). He offered to come on personal time with wood putty, but seriously - I can do that too. I figured he wouldn't be able to do anything so I said I'll call Paul. I talked to Paul, explained all of the above and he was adamant that all he could do was have me and Tomas talk it over. After a short while he said, "it sounds like you just want your money back and that ain't happening." I hardly curse but I did then because his tone was so demeaning. When I told him I'll never use him again and make sure folks know about the experience he says "You do that" and pretty much hung up. INFURIATING. I'm all about thrifting and using consignment shops, but don't use Uff Da Logistics. If anything goes wrong, they won't care. read more

I have used and recommended Uff Da Logistics literally dozens of times. They are professional, personable, speedy, thorough and reasonably priced for the quality of service they provide. I've tried Dolly and Lugg before: never again. You really DO get what you pay for with them. Uff Da properly protected my furnishings when loading their truck to prevent scratches, dents, chips and tears. I purchased a large sleeper sofa from Ballard Consignment and was referred to Uff Da Logistics by the staff there. I texted all of the things they ask for in my first text and within 5 minutes I had a delivery scheduled for two days later. The team arrived at my building on the early side of the delivery window which is always great. They got the coach in my place quick and without incident and even hauled some old furniture to goodwill for me for another, reasonable charge. Within 10 minutes the old furniture was out and the new couch was in and we all went on our way, it was exactly what you'd like from a furniture delivery. This is my 2nd time using UFF Da Logistics and they continue to exceed my expectations!! This move was much more complicated on paper as well, as they had to move a very large hutch up and over a balcony to the 2nd floor. The piece was about 80" x 51" x 20" and weighed about 200 lbs. Crate and barrel's team did not try very hard to get it up the stairs , but after measuring and attempting with a friend we realized it was going to have to go up and over. I reached out to the team at UFF Da and they had a quote and confirmation they could do it within minutes and were able to schedule for less than 1 week away. The crew was awesome and you would have thought they delivered stuff over balconies all day :) they were. Wry careful about securing it, protecting the railing, and deck, protecting all spaces and adhered to all Covid Protocols. They had the piece in its final spot in less than 25 minutes !! Highly recommend this team for any furniture move , no matter how complicated. At the direction of the store, I reached out to them with pictures of my purchased items and within 30 minutes, I had a response back, along with a quote and delivery date option. After sending pictures/video of my living area where the furniture needed to be delivered, the team was very honest in telling me one of the pieces I purchased might not fit and as a result, provided some alternative options. After mulling it over, I was able to swap one the of pieces out with the store and as soon as I got back in touch with Uff Da Logistics to update the team, we confirmed moving forward and I had my pieces delivered by the movers. Brandon from Uff Da Logistics was very unprofessional and condescending. He and his partner walked into my townhouse and immediately told me my delivery item would not fit. He didn't measure anything. When they attempted to maneuver the item they repeatedly turned down any suggestions I had and just said that it would not fit. I have honestly no idea if it would have ever fit in the end, but I am very dissatisfied with the service provided. To not measure a space or give any real effort to move my item in is very disappointing. To then also say "we have other deliveries and except all deliveries to go smoothly" is also very unprofessional and condescending. I would not recommend this service. read more

I do not recommend this moving company. I purchased a Buffet table from ballard Consignment that was all mirrored glass. They delivered my item with no care and consequentially It broke because a piece of the glass was not glued onto the top. You would think that a moving company would have experience moving heavier glass/mirrored objects that they would check prior to delivering and moving if something were to fall, cover it with blankets or even have some type of a dolly to move it these movers seems like they have never moved something like this before. The movers acted almost like it was an imposition to be moving this piece of furniture that I was paying to be delivered. Regardless, they fix my piece but instead of just fixing the one mirrored glass part that broke, they replace the whole top with glass without it being beveled. TBH i wouldnt care bc it looked fine but The mover was so kind to tell me they didn't do beveled glass (how it was before? because that would be too expensive for them. Dude what??? Like that made me feel so jipped. Its the principle. They didnt even bring my shelves w them and wanted me to essentially wait around all day for them to come back when they were fone with their shift for my shelves..... just like inconsiderate & not a great experience. The crew was Fantastic but the management, well. I'm a bookkeeper by trade and they quoted me a price to move items from home to consigner $150 less then 1 mile away. Then I asked to make 1 stop I between .25 miles away and add 3 things into the truck. The service window was between 12 - 5, I got a call at 3:44 they were in their way. They had a full truck and were not sure I'd they could fit everything but they made it work. We stopped st the Storage added the 3 additional items. There earlier move took longer then expected so they opted to leave everything on the truck overnight. Fine by me. Total time 3:44 pm to 4:36 pm and we agreed upon pricing of $305.00 The crew was great. So I asked for a quote to move me into my new apartment. I was quoted $200 per hour and to be charged in 15 minute increments. Great! Then I got to thinking the math didn't add up based in their hourly rate quote. So I inquired about it, kindly and I was met with being told I was frustrated and that he didn't want to deal with me and took me off the move schedule for my apartment move. He said I was charged for 1.75 hours if work at first so I looked at my phone records and the records at the Storage unit and it added up to .75 hours. I brought this to his attention and he didn't like that. And that's when he cancelled my move. The math wasn't math-ing and when I brought it to his attention he lashed out and accused me if being upset when I wasn't, I was just trying to understand. He also used the excuse I'm charged from the time when they leave their prior job site to the time they arrive at their next job site after yours. That doesn't make sense either. What If the prior job side is hours away or there is bad traffic. And when they left it was too late to take it to the consignment store so they chose to take their truck to their lot and park it overnight and drop everything the next morning. Bottom line is now I know better and I want you to know better. They have a corner on the Ballard Consignment market, but that doesn't mean you have to use them. Make sure you get the right quote for you and ask what the hourly rate is and the parameters of the charges. I will forever never use them again and evangelise their skeptical business practices. But I will finish with thisz the crew was great! ....and btw I'm a business person with lots of contacts and I will make sure they know too. Hired them to deliver a table i had bought from a local consignment store. Knicked it along the way. And unresponsive after I shared a picture of the damage. Plus they keep reminding you that gratuity is not required but expected to the point that it becomes annoying. Hire someone else. Not recommended. Update in response to Paul's reply to this review : * The coffee table was put in place where it's supposed to go and I did not attempt to move it. * The piece I did till crew to not bother with placing right was the dining table included in this delivery. I am moving out in the first week of March and there wasn't enough space in my current apartment to fit it well anyways. * At no point did I ask Paul of any compensation for the damage. I simply expressed my grievance. * It was my fault for not checking everything on delivery, first time using movers. Lesson learnt. Not going to sign without inspection again. * Added screen shots of my conversation with him. At no point did he even bother being apologetic or empathetic about the damage. Instead, he decided to be standoffish from the get go and delivered the judgement that I deserve no help from him because I wrote a negative Yelp review. * Not against tipping people for a job well done, only suggested that maybe tone down that messaging upfront. We all know how this works and props to his delivery guys who did Besides if your people rely heavily on customer tips maybe there are other problems with your business that require redressing. But that's a can of worms that is best left sealed. I draw no sadistic pleasure in slandering a good businesses. But ask yourself if you really want to do business with a guy who has no respect for you and no empathy for your loss ? Some one who might later accuse you for damaging your own furniture that you so carefully chose for that new condo of yours ? Shit happens but are supposed to we help each other move on from the loss. I'm glad I posted this review and it helped us all see this side of the owner. Uff Da means "oh no!" "drat!" "oops!" or "ouch!" I'm going with "oh no!" and "ouch!" and looking for a stronger option... Paul just called me, chewed me out and hung up. He's the business owner and I shared with him that his guys damaged my couch (they scraped the paint on my entry way too). When I sent pictures of the broken foot, Paul texted back, that it would take "1 minute" to fix. Instead of going to the company has their customer use Uff Da, I thought I'd give Paul a chance to make it right, since that's what I'd want as a fellow business owner. Wow, what a mistake! This guy doesn't care. As another person posted here, Paul is shockingly immature. I rarely post any reviews (maybe one every 5 years), however, I think people need to warned. There's an ancient proverb about avoiding angry people. My couch was damaged, and my entry was damaged, and Paul's the one who is making angry phone calls and hanging up. Wow! I bought a couch and shelf from ballard consignment and used their recommendation of Uff Da to deliver them to my apartment. They delivered the shelf alright, though not without some hemming and hawing on their part, but refused to even attempt to move the couch up the staircase in our apartment saying there was absolutely no way it would fit. First of all, I sent pictures of the staircase when scheduling delivery so any issues should have been addressed with me then, before coming out and charging us $150 for delivery of one item. Second, I have moved a couch of similar size up the same stairs with two friends helping, the same amount of movers they sent, and we being 20something girls, non-professional movers at that, were able to get it up the stairs. What kind of moving company that serves a city can't get furniture up 1.5 flights of stairs? It seemed like they just wanted to get on to their next delivery and had no interest helping us, and that's not what I paid $150 for. read more

I needed a couch delivered to my apartment up three flights of stairs. My friends bailed so the store recommended Uff Da Logistics. Within a minute I had a quote and a time for the next day. The owner was in constant communication with me regarding the time, price, and Covid protocol. The actual movers were so professional! They were fast and so nice. They made sure not to hit any walls in the hall or scuff the couch. They even stood back and looked at it and moved it over to center it in the room. It literally took minutes. What would have taken my friends hours and having to listen to them complain, the price was definitely worth it. And the price was very fair. We hired Uff Da to deliver our new mattress and boxspring from Macy's downtown. We also wanted to have our old set taken to a transfer station for disposal. Seemed like it would be simple, except that they had to wait (and wait, and wait) for Macy's to figure out where our stuff was. After a couple of hours, it got straightened out. From that point, it was easy as pie -- they set up the new frame, boxspring, and mattress, then took away the old pieces ... in about 10 minutes. The guys were friendly but efficient. Joe and Rafael were outstanding! They were friendly, polite and very efficient. They had to make several trips down a looong hallway, down an elevator, then up a ramp to their truck. They also loaded our Penske rental truck with items we were taking back to Tucson. They took some items to consignment and a sofa bed and mattress to the dump.
