We had an amazing and thrilling adventure with UFO Parasail! We booked the 1:00 PM timeslot but were notified that it would be delayed due to the weather. That was perfectly fine with us since it gave us more time to explore the shops at Whalers Village. When we arrived at the updated time, several people were waiting because of the strong winds, and we were informed that multiple flights had been canceled. We completely understood the decision to wait for safer conditions, so we didn't mind at all. The boat before ours even had to return to shore, so we honestly thought our flight might get canceled too. Thankfully, we got the green light! The ride on the tender boat was an adventure in itself. You have to time boarding between the shore break, with the help of the staff on-shore ofc which was surprisingly exciting and so much fun. We then transferred to the main vessel, which headed toward south to Lahaina where the wind conditions were better. Even that boat ride was fast, scenic, and such a blast! The highlight, of course, was the parasailing. We were lucky enough to fly under the awesome "UFO" chute, which looked incredible in the video I was filming. Soaring high above the beautiful West Maui coast was an unforgettable experience. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe while ensuring everyone had a great time. For everything we experienced, this was an incredible value and absolutely worth it. After our flight, we cruised back to Kaʻanapali and wrapped up an unforgettable adventure. UFO Parasail is really not worth the money. At $136 per person, you're only out on the water for about 30 minutes total--roughly 10 minutes going out, 10 minutes coming back, and only about 9 minutes actually in the air. We paid around $400 for three people, and honestly, it just wasn't worth it. For less money, we could have gone snorkeling for several hours and gotten much more for our money. The experience itself was fun, but the amount of time you actually spend parasailing compared to the price makes it difficult to recommend. read more

We had a fantastic morning on the Inshore Fishing Charter with Captain Dustin. He knew all the spots and piloted our boat with an expert hand. Our inshore, bottom fishing trip turned into a more exciting adventure pulling in a couple of huuuuge Ono (Wahoo) in addition to a large Uku (Snapper) and Kahala (Amberjack). Dustin was helpful and patient and full of info, stories and lore about the islands. Huge lack of communication skills. My family happened to go on a day with unpredictable weather and i'm hoping that's why they had such major issues getting us out. We showed up at 11:15 for our original 11:45 reservation. We were notified after checking in that they were having weather issues, and that we may wait up to 20 minutes later than our reservation. This was no issue until about an hour later... We then asked again where our boat was and they said it should be here in 15 minutes. After about 30 minutes our boat arrived. We load up the boat ride out 15 feet and the captain tells us to come back in. We never went out due to weather conditions. Basically wasted 3 hours of our vacation due to terrible communication. We received a full refund which is the only reason this review is not 1 star. We still had to pay for our parking aswell. read more

UFO parasailing was such a fun and exhilarating experience. You book your reservation on their website, and they offer random discounts. There's two options for parasailing: 800 ft or 1200 ft. The staff were really friendly and informative of how to properly sit and handle the straps when ascending over the beautiful ocean. Once you're up 1200 ft, it was personally relaxing and breathtaking to overlook the picturesque Maui ocean. The flight was approximately 8 minutes long. The staff allows you to dip your feet in the water, too. They offer a photo package you can buy online in advance when doing your reservations or it can be purchased the day of. The pictures are available for you to view 24 hours after your flight. UFO parasailing in Maui is located directly on the Kaanapali beach. You will see 2 blue umbrellas with their name on it dug into the sand. Parking is located inside Whaler's Village and you can validate at any of the stores (just buy something small at a store to get validation). read more

I've parasailed before but this was my husband's first time. The online booking process was easy and the staff were friendly. We opted for the photos, and they give a good selection for $30 (as opposed to, say, Disney where you pay $30 for a single photo). My only disappointment was that our ride felt shorter than the promised ten minutes. Overall, though, we had a great time. Would I do it again? Yes. The adventure started with a zodiac ride out, and Keanu was awesome, super friendly, and made us feel totally at ease. We happened to be here during the summer, so now was our chance! My husband booked UFO Parasailing for our excursion, out of Kaanapali. It was easy to check in and the staff had the confidence and skill to put us at ease. (The hubs is afraid of heights.) You go out on some sort of speed boat with about 7 other people. You can watch others go up ahead of you. According to the website, you parasail 1200 feet above the water! I was nervous I'd be scared, but it helped to watch the other groups go first. DO NOT BOOK UFO CHARTERS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We had an awful experience. I was the highest bidder at a raffle for a fishing trip with UFO for two, and paid about $300 for that. I then upgraded for $90 because my son is an experienced fisherman and wanted deeper water. This trip was extremely meaningful--my older son, who was a sponsored fisherman, passed away tragically, and my younger son and the one who passed always best friend (who also lost his mother) fish to feel connected to him. He has stepped in a as a big brother so I got this trip as a birthday present so they could have some one on one time to lift each other up through grief. I explained this to the staff, and one of the front desk women was very kind and understanding. Originally, my son was supposed to go out with Captain Kihei (who I know and trust), but he was sick, so they put him with Captain Steven Carroll. The itinerary clearly said check-in 15 to 30 mins before the boat departs at 6:00am. My son's friend was running about 10 minutes late driving down from Upcountry, so I called to let them know--but Steven called me angrily at 5:15am saying they were late and he was leaving. He was rude, aggressive, and refused to wait, even though they were well within the listed check-in time. I asked that he wait for my husband to run across the street so he could have someone. He hung up. In the end, he left early and took my son out alone, before his friend even got there, and before the scheduled departure time. I hadn't even signed a waiver for my son to go alone. My son said the captain was grumpy the whole trip. He was the only one to catch a fish but there was only 3 total fishing. Trip ends and my son said it was just "ok" and he was obviously upset. He also said Steven called him by a different name and was like a "grumpy strict old man." Before trip I told front desk I would Venmo tip if sent to me. Captain reached out while I was at work for said tip. I can't check my phone at work so he sent another one but he was angry. He called me a Karen. Not long after he called my phone and yelled and swore at me. It was insane. My husband says he wishes that we had recorded it because no one would belie how nuts this man is. Funny thing is, I work for tips myself and always tip 20%--but after being treated like that, absolutely not. I contacted the owner, Sarah. At first she sounded apologetic, but they offered no refund and no attempt to fix the situation. When I suggested rescheduling the trip so the boys could have the experience they were supposed to have, she basically said she wanted to "end the conversation." Eventually, they refunded only the $90 upgrade-- even though they left one of our passengers and what we dealt with after. As someone who works at one of the nicest hotels on the island, in a position where I regularly refer tourists to local businesses, I would never recommend UFO Charters. They do not care about their customers or the community. They are unprofessional, rude, and only care about money. Save yourself the stress. There are much better fishing charters on Maui read more

My teen had parasailing on his list of things to do in Maui during our visit with family. He convinced the rest of us (his cousins, sister, and risk- adverse mom) to come along. I am so glad I did it. What an experience. It is so peaceful up at 1200 feet. The whole experience was super easy. We went through the company's website and it looks like they periodically will have 15% off on their excursions. May want to call to see if they offer other discounts such as military, seniors. I would encourage going in the morning (we went at 8:30 am) as you will need to find parking at Whaler's Village which can be a pain once once the shops open. UFO parasailing adventures is definitely worth the money! It was such a fun experience, made even better by our knowledgeable and friendly guides Micah and James. They explained everything thoroughly, eased any preflight jitters, and made sure to follow all safety protocols, which the big ol' scaredy-cat in me greatly appreciated! We were the last to "fly" on our boat, so we were pretty much at ease after watching the rest of the group have such a great time floating high (1,200 feet!) above the water. With my heart pounding, I grabbed onto my harness, and let out an excited "WHOO HOO!", as we lifted off the deck of the boat. The peacefulness my hubby and I felt as we soared over the sparkling ocean was unmatched! They give you an option of either dipping your toes in the water right before getting back on the boat, or having a "dry landing " with no toe dipping. They were quite skilled at doing both! As an AMAZING added bonus, as we headed back to shore we were surrounded by a HUGE pod of Hawaiian spinner dolphins! They playfully jumped out of the water all around us and even raced us, skillfully dodging out of the way of our boat. All in all, it was a truly magical and spectacular day! Plus, they have a five star rating for a reason, so book with them instead of any other company. You'll be glad that you did! read more
