He doesn't mind answering questions and engaging with the client. As with any technology, one never really knows what the issue might be that is causing the problem. At the outset, Omid thought it might be the fuser but after testing the printing using the bypass paper tray, and the print job completing, he quickly ruled out it being a fuser issue. At this point he did some research on his phone and then did a soft reset on the printer. Unbelievably it resolved my printer printing issue that I was having from using the main paper tray. He couldn't be sure as to why the printer settings were corrupted and had to be reset, but who cares at this point because I had been faced with buying a fuser, a new printer or any other expensive part. Most importantly I didn't have to continue going to the library to print anymore at $.15/page. I highly recommend Omid and his company.

Update: I was not contacted by the owner, and I have texts from the business refusing to refund the…read moreservice. They originally offered to refund the labor only or replace the part again, but after two failed installs, that wasn't a good resolution plan. I was able to get an approved dispute with my credit card company and was fully refunded. A reply to my review making it look like there was an attempt to refund me isn't transparent. Again, sometimes it's best to measure a business on what happens when something goes wrong, not just when everything goes right. A true measure of a business is how they handle things when things go wrong. I want to start by saying the actual service experience was good. Fast turnaround, friendly staff, and when my first screen replacement had dying pixels, they replaced it under warranty without any pushback. That part of the experience deserves credit. However, the second replacement screen was also defective. Graininess in low light, visible dark spots, and the screen would go completely black during phone calls. At that point I asked for a refund rather than a third installation, since I'd already spent enough time and didn't want to gamble again on the same part. This is where I think the real test of a business happens. Anyone can deliver good service when everything goes smoothly. What matters more is what happens when it doesn't. I had an independent diagnosis from Apple confirming the display issue, and the shop initially agreed to a refund on the condition that I return the old screen. The problem was that Apple, who repaired the phone separately, retains all replaced parts as their own property and doesn't return them to customers, a policy I confirmed directly and documented for the shop. In the end, the shop declined to issue a full refund and only offered a partial refund for labor, even though the part itself was the source of the defect, not the installation. I came into this wanting to be fair, and I gave the business multiple chances to resolve it. I think it's reasonable to expect a full refund when a product fails twice, especially when returning the part wasn't even possible due to circumstances outside my control. I'd recommend this shop for routine repairs based on their speed and friendliness, but be aware of how they handle things if something doesn't go as planned. They would reference that they work with the local Apple Store, but I spoke with the Apple Store and they have several customers come in after poor third party replacements and service.

Well - removing my laptops keyboard and replacing the RAMS was as easy as promised - too bad that reattaching the cables connecting the keyboard to the motherboard were anything but easy (my hands are just too big). Luckily Expertise Computers were down the street - in the span of 2 hours - I had an email telling me that my computer was ready to be picked up. I dropped off the hard drive and was told that I would get a call in a few days with a diagnosis. There are signs everywhere that there is a diagnostic fee of $59. If you get the work done, the diagnostic fee is applied to the price of the work. After a week of waiting I called to get a status. I called on a Saturday and was told to call Monday to speak to the tech. I called backkn Monday and was told the drive was too damaged for any data to be extracted. I paid the $59 fee. See snapshot from my bank statement. I threw away the receipt. I then continued looking and found a place to ship it to, free of charge. They received it and immediately contacted me back that they are able to recover data, maybe not all but guaranteed recovery. That is in the works as I write this review. This is why I didn't write the review sooner because now I know for a fact that they gave me wrong information. I would be totally fine and cool with paying a disgnostic fee to get a diagnosis. This place didn't give me that. For all I know they may not have done anything. They said the drive qould not work with any of their software. I qould be totally okay with them being honest and telling me this is what is wrong, you need these parts and it will cost this much and we do not do it. It is obvious they do not have the expertise or equiment to do data recovery unless it is simple but if that was the case I could have done it. In any event, I do not feel that this business is ethical when they charge you to tell you something can't be salvaged when I now know it can be. I am upset and sharing this so it doesn't happen to you.
