Met up with a friend here for a co-working day. I was a little concerned at first because this place is located in the clubhouse for a neighborhood. However, this turned out to be the perfect spot. I ordered a vanilla latte and the Twisted Sprocket Salad, which included chicken salad with all sorts of fresh veggies, pecans, and feta. Both were absolutely delicious. Pricing was also amazing for what you got. Seating options were comfy and they had outlets around for charging as well as clean bathrooms. Went there today with my dad for lunch. Super cute, tucked back away from the main road. The menu is simple and very affordable. The cafe is clean and quaint. Two booths and a few tables inside. Outdoor seating is available. Outside was my favorite! I ordered the pesto chicken flatbread and my dad had the southwest omelette with wheat toast. Mine was delicious and my dad ate all of his. The portions are perfect for one serving. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I will return to eat here again. read more

This little cafe tucked away in the middle of a housing tract was really nice, the food was hot fresh and served real fast, it was quiet and comfortable, we sat outside on the patio overlooking a pond and watched tee baby gators popping up out of the water- made it interesting. We walked in just in time for fresh from the oven blueberry cones and the guy was drizzling icing on them right at the counter. Temptation x 100! He tells us they a fresh from the oven and we could smell them! Shocker- we split a hot scone and it was wonderful! We were there for lunch- but I didn't have breakfast and when that happens, I tend to only want breakfast food first. So- I ordered an omelet with spinach, bacon, cheese & mushrooms~ yum. The omelet came with homefries and toast. My sister ordered her favorite- the turkey club with a salad. Both meals were great- my omelet looked browned and overcooked- but the eggs didn't taste overcooked. I am thinking it was browned cheese maybe? My toast was stone cold though- when it was set down on the table, so I tried and then didn't eat the toast. But that was ok, because the omelet was plenty of food. My sister took home half her sandwich- a normal occurrence and we sat for a bit while it poured rain outside. My sister filled me in that they are short-staffed and some days only served baked goods and drinks. That she goes for lunch about once a week and loves sitting near the fireplace- which wasn't ablaze while we were there. I checked in after we ordered and got a Yelp coupon for 25% off- dang it! Because it's as good as it gets for what this is. --- --- --- As I was enjoying my meal, I was having the following thoughts: -Could I really give 5-stars to Twisted Sprocket... the same number of stars I've given to Berns? Does it cheapen all of the amazing experiences I've had at world-class venues over the years if I'm handing out 5-stars to a place like this? Well, here's my answer: everything must be graded on a scale. If your kid is a really great Little League baseball player, it can also be true that he would strike out every time if he were put on a Major League Baseball roster tomorrow. For a fast-casual place to eat in the midst of a master-planned community, Twisted Sprocket is awesome. It would also be awesome if you put it in an airport. It's super convenient for those who live in Bexley. And it's a really nice surprise for any first-timer when they probably assume the quality of the food will be low-end banquet quality, at best. In reality, it was so much more than that! I ordered steak quesadillas, a mango smoothie and a red velvet cookie. All of them were delicious! My wife ordered the club sandwich and it was also great. Based on my one visit, I would definitely have faith that I could order just about anything here and it would be enjoyable. Plus, they serve Buddy Brew coffee, which means I would definitely be visiting somewhat regularly for that alone, if I lived in Bexley. I love coming here! It's currently hidden deep in the construction sites of the developing Bexley community, so as of now I think of it literally being a hidden gem! Despite construction, the setting is perfect. There's plenty of indoor seating (booths, tables, couches) with modern decor. The outdoor seating is covered with ceiling fans and has a very pretty view of the lake. It's quiet and tranquil. The staff is super friendly too and the prices match the quality of the food. There are a lot of healthy options, and even dishes like the Philly Steak taste fresh and healthy. My absolute favorite pastry is the S'mores cookie (make sure to ask for it warmed up) and the Bexley Special is decadent. Definitely recommend! read more

So at the back of my community is this quaint little restaurant with great service. Have been meaning to stop here since I moved in 2 years ago. I finally got a chance for breakfast. Was memorial weekend and a Saturday but no crowd or wait for tables. How wonderful is that! So you order at counter and they bring your food. Cafeteria style. Not a huge menu. (This is why only 4 stars) they could use more variety life croissants, sausage links, eggs Benedict, etc. Besides that they have the basic breakfast necessities and it tasted very fresh. Served on paper plates and plastic forks so nothing fancy but $10 or less for meals. Ala cart-a menu also. Kids menu which appeared about 1/2 price. Definitely will return and try lunch, for the price and wait time, it's a must do. Espresso machine was down so no "fancy" coffees, but they do have flavorings and use Buddy Brew a local roasted coffee brand, so your supporting small business 2 times over having coffee here. The twisted sprocket is a little spot tucked away in the Bexley community. Unfortunately the snazzy decor does not make the food any more interesting. My wife and I went for a weekday lunch and I ordered the Wild Card Wrap ($8.00) with a "Bexley Special" chocolate chip cookie milkshake. We also wanted added a veggie quesadillas, as a service to the Yelp community. The wrap came out with a simple presentation and a side of balsamic and pickles. I am a fan of big bold bright (that could be my show...triple b??) flavors which this wrap lacked. It tasted fresh and well layered, but lacked and wow factor that would make me remember it, or order it again. The quesadilla was savory and did not skimp on the most important ingredient ...cheese... but it lacked and brightness and overall felt very one notey. That shake though...yummm...so tasty. The fresh baked cookie, the rich ice-cream and chocolate syrup, the texture from the cookie crumbles, all together it worked...and it worked well. So tasty. Thought I doubt I'd make the trek deep into Bexley to get just the milk shake. As I eluded to at the beginning, the décor and space is really lovely, with a nice covered patio area that overlooks a large retention pond. The interior and outside space had some great and varied seating options as well (think adirondack chairs and plush club chairs). Overall: A nice space with forgettable food. Love the atmosphere. The establishment is very welcoming and nice inside. The staff is accommodating and pleasant. My work team often comes here to have meetings together. We are able to use the WIFI sit at a large table and work together without interruption. The establishment is still fairly new so I feel the food is definitely a work in progress. If I am being completely honest, the food just isn't good. Everything tastes bland and lacks creativity. I recently had the avocado toast and it was pretty bad. I was going to give the açaí bowl a try but one of the girls from my work team told me they weren't good. So I took her word for it and passed on the açaí bowl. Her biggest complaint with the bowl is that it was too watery. So back to the avocado toast, not only was it not good, it was also pretty overpriced. I get that avocado toast is normally on the expensive side. I don't mind a paying a high price for quality food but it just wasn't quality. Also, the drinks are pretty expensive too. Like I said before, this is a fairly new establishment so hopefully the food will get better with time. I will be back in the near future. read more
