After you pick your color/shape, she starts drawing on your eyebrows to make sure you like the way the eyebrows are shaped before she tattoos them on. When I told them that I didn't wish to share my number, I was told that I couldn't check in without providing it. I clarified, to make sure I understood correctly, "If I dont give you my cell phone number, you won't provide me service?" The woman I was talking to looked to her coworker for support. After slowly looking at me from toe to head while making a face as if to say, ' Who are you, that you don't want to give us your number', she told the women I had to provide a number - I assume, because I didn't speak their language, and the respose was the same. I was told that they weren't going to share or use my number for marketing. Then why require my number? I wasn't making a reservation. I literally walked in and would have sat right in the chair for all but 5 minutes or less, paid, and walked out. Innocent request in an attempt to do what, I dont know? Maybe. But to require a persons personal information for no valid reason is a violation of a persons privacy. I'll be honest, It was mostly a matter of principle, but also, your phone number can provide access to highly sensitive information and potentially lead to identify theft. Like many people, my phone is used to manage my life and the business I work for. With all the idenity theft, fraud, hacking, and scams, I prefer I err on the side of caution when I can.
