I went and got my hair done April 6th of 2026, by kamika. And I just have to say if you ever want to pay almost $300 for only half of your hair to get done bleach to the point where there's so much breakage then this is your place to be. And then when you go somewhere else because they damaged your hair, they won't refund you anything and say that you lied about emailing them back. I have pictures of me emailing them back and the damage that they did to my hair. And more if they'd like to see it, this Ulta beauty in Ammon is the worst place you could go to to get your hair done. And I want them to know that they're going to make right what they did wrong to me. They have treated an unkindly and poorly, and they haven't done anything to make it right. I've gotten a hold of corporate now three times and I hope they sincerely take me seriously. I hope you know how your treating me about this problem is disgusting. YOU DAMAGED MY HAIR AND TRYING TO HIDE AND RUN FROM IT! You got women feel beautiful and heard, that's literally what you based your whole commercials and franchise off of and you're doing the complete opposite of that. Garrett did my makeup using Lancome, whom he represents. Wow, the results were lovely and they lasted beautifully for 9 hours! I hadn't tried Lancome and now I'm a fan. Garrett is a huge asset to Ulta. He's a talented make up artist who loves his work, and his skin is stunning, with no makeup or anything, so he knows how to care for skin and make it glow from within!! He was also kind and approachable and patient - I had a ton of questions. Come to SLC, Garrett! We need your talent!! read more

I wish zero stars was a choice. I had a terrible experience at the salon having my hair cut and highlighted. The stylist did not listen to me at all and gave me a terrible haircut and color. She also had recently moved to this salon at Ulta from another salon that I had an appointment with her. She said I could have the same time and day at the new place and that the prices were the same. It was twice as much!!! She lied, did an awful job on my hair and Ulta will not do anything about it. I could go back and have her try to fix it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa!! Why would I go back to the person who did not listen to me in the first place and had lied to me??? I have gone here for salon services (hair cut and color) off and on for several years. I've never had any issues until last night. I went in at 4 and left at 9 with hair darker than I asked for. I wanted a blonde balayage and received green hair. The stylist asked if she could do a bleach wash which I refused. She stripped my hair twice to get the green out. I was offered products to strip it myself at home instead of her trying to fix it. In the end, I was told it would fade out eventually but could come back another day to have the color fixed for free. I was then expected to pay full price for this service. When I said I didn't think that was fair and was in tears they offered me 10% off. Again, I didn't feel this was fair either so they gave me 25% off. I paid so I could leave but will never be returning. read more

I love Ulta and I've never had any problems there in the past. Recently, I was visiting Idaho and went to the Idaho Falls location with a friend since she had a gift card. Lately I've been having some really stubborn breakouts and wanted advice on a good face mask to help get rid of them. The worker who helped me (I didn't get a name, but she had blue wig on) immediately told me I didn't need a mask, I needed moisturizer, and when I told her I had combination skin, she said "that doesn't exist, you have dry skin" in a very condescending way. It seemed like she got upset when I didn't want to immediately buy the moisturizer she recommended me, then when she took me to the face masks, she told me I should *never* use clay face masks. She never let me get a word in, and the entire time I felt like she was speaking down to me. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience for me and I don't think I'd ever visit this location again. read more

Unbelievable customer service! I went into Ulta for the first time yesterday to get mascara because my usual supplier was out of my brand. I usually buy two at a time to save a trip. Found my brand and grabbed two, paid and left. Today, I reached into my sack and pulled out one of the boxes of mascara. It clearly was empty. No doubt a shoplifter slipped the mascara out, closed the box, put it back and went on her way. The other one was full. But, because I had grabbed two, I didn't notice the weight difference and that one was empty. Dang! So, I head back to Ulta. I walk in an talk to the first lady at the counter and tell her the story expecting her to say, "Go get a replacement. We're so sorry you had to make an extra trip!" Instead, she told me to get in the checkout line and the checker had the authority to take care of it. So, I wait in the line and the checker tells me she's really sorry but they've "checked their inventory and it's correct" (???) so they'll have to investigate and look at their camera footage and can I come back tomorrow? Are you kidding me? No, I can't come back tomorrow, I'm leaving on an international trip and are you saying that I would go to the work of fabricating this story? That will be the last purchase I make at Ulta! Buyer beware!! read more

I rarely go into Ulta. It just gives me a weird vibe like the snarky stuck up girls in high school. Last week I decided to run in for some L'Occitane hand cream. Sure enough here comes a bottle blonde with drawn on eye brows and stilettos. She asked what I was looking for. She said she had never heard of it but directed me to the drug store brands which it is not. I felt that because I was wearing jeans and snow boots she made a judgement and I didn't appreciate it. She walked by me later and asked if I found what I was looking for. I pointed and she said, "oh that's expensive". No one needs to deal with the crappy judges attitude right now. I've always loved ulta it's where I get all the makeup I use for clients, there have been a couple times that the customer service was very poor. At this point I will only order online. Going into the store was an unpleasent interaction. At first it was good, I rarely do need assistance, this was the rare case I had questions about some new products. The associate showed me them and was helpful, at first. I continued to shop around and started to notice she was following me around the store. When I would pick up a product she would stand on the same isle as me watching every product I looked at and giving me the dirtiest looks. I was extremely uncomfortable and left without making a purchase. I hope some communication is done with employees because I will not be returning, thank you! read more

The two of them not only helped me with what I was looking for in make up & skin products but helped me freshen up for my flight home after being at a fire for 14 days. Thankful and pleased. Talked to a manager about getting a men's haircut. She suggested another local barber shop but that they are a little "pricey". I called a few weeks later to set an appointment and asked how much they charged for men's hair cut and they said $23 ($2 less than the barber shop). I got the hair cut and was charged $38! When I asked about it, they denied telling me that price and I got some story about $23 was the starting price for a small trim??? Who charges $23 for a small trim? I got my sides cut and a trim on top. Nothing complicated. The only reason I didn't put 1 star is because the cut was decent, but the lady cutting it was actually quitting soon herself. Extremely disappointed in their dishonesty and overpriced products besides an extremely overpriced haircut. read more

I would rate this Ulta higher, if just for the offerings... however the customer service leaves something to be desired most of the time. I went to return a few things the other day, and it was like pulling teeth getting one of the supervisors to put the money back on my card and not a gift card. I love Ulta as a company. They have fair prices and I love their products. For the most part, they have great customer service. But there was one particular employee at this particular location that made me never want to step foot in this store again. She was overall very loud, borderline unprofessional, and made me uncomfortable. I asked her where something was and she ordered another employee to show my friends and I. Not a huge deal. But then, we asked for her help again, and she looked at my friend dead in the face and said "I hate your piercing." Exact words. She probably said total ofn3 times. She really hurt my friends feelings and pissed me off. I am not happy. It was rude and uncalled for. I didn't catch her name, but she wore a white wig and green lipstick. I'm never coming to this Ulta again, because she was very rude to my friend and made us overall very uncomfortable. Nothing against Ulta, I just don't want to ever encounter this woman again. I had been on the phone on and off today , for around 3 hours , and my sister was in and out of the store in ammon idaho . The issue was I used my points to get her a gif . She was trying to return one for something that would better suit her wants. Everyone I talked to and not one person mentioned she COULD NOT do that because I purchased it with points so it would just refund my point . They first in the ammon store treated her like she STOLE SOMETHING and was trying to redeem it for money . ... so they called customer service to no avail. So she called me upset for how stupid and embarrased she felt by the way the manager there made her feel. So I got mad, called customer service, spoke to a lady named amber who was very kind , and sent the store ab email telling them to allow purchase or return or whatever. I dont think she realized it was with points. Then my sister went back to the store after I called her (I live in a different town so I couldn't be there to help) and they yet AGAIN treat her like she is trying to get away with stolen merchandise....to the point she called LOSS PREVENTION !!!! And told Ericka she had to call customer service and have them send proof of purchase. My sister at this point calls me crying HUMILIATED!!!!! SO NOW IM VERY MAD , abd tells me . So I call again. This time they send the proof of purchase and everything , and i write down and text my sister the order numbers and all that. Realizing this time when she came in THERE WAS A EFFING RECIPT . They then try being nice to her and then proceed to tell her she would only get like $15 back to spend on something. So she takes her stuff and leaves. calls me crying and she refused to go back in ever again cause she is humiliated , I call customer service. again . And this time the lady said I'm going to call the store and talk to the . Well 33 min on hold she comes back . Only it's not her. it's a manager from the South Carolina building Shandelle or something. I'm unsure on the name . Something close she gets on and is pretty short with me. I explain how many people I talked to and didnt understand why NOONE told me that the points would just get refunded , and they weren't going to help ericka at all. And she basically said there was nothing she was going to do about the lack of information or anything about the humiliation the store put her through or anything. She then tells me goodbye , and while I am trying to unlock my phone to hang up x the associate didnt end the call , and her and the manager start talking crap about me ..... the manager basically mimicked our conversation , and the associate was all like " haha ya she mad" to which I responded "yes and I'm still F**** here !!! " she gasped and hung up. I am COMPLETELY DISGUSTED with ulta right now . I dont ever want to shop there again . I've been a diamond member for years and now I want to cancel my credit card and take my business to Sephora. She didnt use any products , all she wanted was some hair stuff that was on sale that day and a few things she knew how to use. Her and I both got treated like crap. So I called customer service AGAIN. to tell someone about the call I just got off of. Granted by this time I was so frustrated I was crying through the whole thing. The lady was nice and told me she sent the complaint to global or something so they could review the recording . I'm truly just sick about how we were treated. Im considering finding EVERYTHING I own from ulta that's within its accepted time to return . Returning as much as I can. paying my card off the rest of the way and never looking back . Which is a real bummer cause I love ulta , and I dont have a sephora in my town , but it's worth the 45 min drive if I'm going to be treated like this . read more

Extremely Dissatisfied. We booked 4 hair appointments for myself and three young daughters. The first two haircuts took an hour each, for a kids cut.. nothing fancy just a simple style and trim. After 2 hours the hairdresser said they didn't even have the other 2 appointments so she couldnt finish us all. When we went to pay and mentioned we were upset to the checker the general manager was standing next to her and didn't even talk to us. On top of it all I had to go home with a child who was crying because the hair dresser had cut off way more of her hair than requested as she had been working hard to grow it out. Oh and the daughter that didn't get her hair cut was also upset because she was looking forward to a new hairstyle too. Will never return. read more

Thank you ulta, for nothing! I went in intending to spend a good deal of money as my wedding is coming up soon and I wanted some new makeup. However after being there for over 45 minutes (who knows why I gave them that long) I was completely ignored by each and every sales person on the floor. Those that weren't busy talking to each other greeted every other girl that came in. I tried to get one lady's attention and she flat out walked past me to help someone who just came in. All I needed was recommendations for what foundation would be best, but I couldn't even get that. Didn't make me feel very good as I was out and about with none of my makeup on. I had an appointment with the salon for a haircut. The appointment was made 6 weeks in advance. I showed up and waited and waited. After 20 minutes, I was asked if I needed anything. Then they tell me the lady I had an appoint with quit. Why didn't they try to contact me? I was disappointed. I'm not pleased with how this situation was handled. I usually have a pretty good experience in ulta, until today. I'm shopping for a Christmas gift! Imagine that, and I just wanted some help on the floor.. I needed recommendations and what's popular for some face masks. I had three ulta employees walk past me and say nothing! As I looked around for maybe someone to help me I only saw one and she was heading to the back and walking at a pretty fast pace so I assumed she was too busy for me. This review is only based on this particular location's Salon management. I love ulta products. I made an appt at this hair salon for a color job. I got a call the morning of, that there was no one available to color my hair. DAY OF!!!! Thru didn't know this any earlier??? This was for a super important event the next day and I was left to call anyone and everyone scrambling to find another salon on a Sat to color my hair. No one was available to help me due to it being so last minute. Duh. Salons cannot do this to their customers. Now I know never to make an appt here at the salon. Telling my friends too. Unreliable. So while I love the products that Ulta sells, their Salon service was subpar. I went there because my person at where I used to go left after years of doing my hair and got a suggestion to use Ulta. It was really disorganized and long to get my first appt and I explained my situation on why I switched salons; my person left and I had horrible experiences with other stylist (I got a lot of free cuts and had to do returns for incorrect coloring). So i was looking for a new place. The stylist they set me up with did a great job, and she fit my need for weekend cuts. But after the cut and style she said that I needed a week day to which I agreed based on it would be the only one. Fast forward 8 weeks, I got my confirmation for my appt, that I responded to with a yes. To show up today, wait around for 20 minutes to find out no one in the Salon part was there. The person that cut my hair was mo longer an employee and they couldn't contact or find the person they switched me to. I think they should have called to say my stylist was switched, and confirmed with them I was showing up since I was on the schedule. Telling me that I have to reschedule for a later date is unacceptable since I had to take time off to make the appt. I will not be going back there for the salon Service. It was unimpressive. I am disappointed at their disorganization. read more
