I want to apologize as I don't remember the name of the associate, but she was the Mac representative at this Ulta and this review is for her. On July 11th around 1pm, my mom and I visited this Ulta to do some shopping. I originally just needed a restock of my Mac powder foundation but I noticed my shade was out of stock, so the Mac Associate recommended trying the liquid foundation. My mom was intrigued and we both ended up sitting down to get a shade match. The Mac associate was so extremely personable and friendly. My mom explained a lot of products don't work on her mature skin anymore and it makes her sad. The Mac associate responded by telling her getting older is actually a privilege and something we should be thankful for and proceeded to offer many ways to help with her skin and what it might take better as far as product wise. The Mac Representative gave my mom and I a wonderful experience and I would recommend stopping at this Ulta if you are looking for more information or help with Mac products. Each time I am there to see my stylist, Maddie, so I don't need help with anything else, but it is offered. Maddie is the best! She gives great explanations about hair color options. She recommended products that have helped my fine, thin hair. She listened to me well enough to find the color I love. I keep coming back to refresh it and to see her. She remembers me well enough to ask questions about what has been going on in my life between appointments, which I perceive as among her talents, since she must have many clients. When there is a long checkout line, it seems the ladies behind the registers do their best to keep it moving. read more

I have been to this location multiple times and all of those times have been a horrible experience. Asked for a shade match once, they thought they found the best one, didnt ask for my opinion and just walked away. Tried looking for something that isn't out on the shelf, asked someone if they could check to ensure there's none left and they didnt even try to help. Just told me "yeah I THINK we're out". Came in for an online order. Not a smile or greeting. "You have an online order?" "Can I see your ID?" "Say your name?" "What was your name?" I was asked these questions and had to show my ID multiple times before whispering on microphones and a 2nd person came and repeated the same questions and asked my ID multiple times after the 1st woman was too flustered to even help us or acknowledge what was going on. This went on for 5 minutes as we waited and wondered what was going on. They whispered more on the microphones like we were an inconvenience to them. 2nd person that helped us quoted "Everyone's human" but in what context because we were the ones not understanding why we were being questioned like I did a crime? They did NOT treat us like humans to begin with. They need better customer service training. A manager came up and just gave us a free shipping card and found my order INSTANTLY within seconds of coming to the front desk and basically shooed us away. Mind you they give free shipping on the website all the time. I could tell they did not want a confrontation. I repeated my name at least 20x and showed my ID 10x. It was super unprofessional and I felt like I was speaking a different language. My boyfriend clarified I was way too nice to them and spoke very clearly. It was a very awkward experience and they made it an uncomfortable situation for no reason. Social skills at a ZERO. I can't even imagine what they have to deal with to be so traumatized and treat customers that way. Please don't get a job if you don't enjoy it. Misery loves company. It's bad for your health. I stopped in here last Saturday. Early afternoon. I spent 20 minutes wandering around the store and not one employee asked me if I needed help. I was going to purchase a few Mac products but the girl working this section was too busy playing on her phone to be interested in helping. Everything else I was interested in was out of stock. The worker named Harleen who was working reg 5 on 7/2/24 had to be one of the worst employees I've ever encountered walking into an Ulta. She had no intention of helping me when I had questions on if they had certain products. She also had no customer service skills what so ever. Initially my first encounter with Harleen was when I asked a couple of ladies (including her) if they had a few lip liner testers. She gave no second thought and just shot me down. When I came up to the register to pay for my items she was rude and very arrogant. She told me that one of my items was a tester and then told ME to go get the same shade to replace the tester. Which was kind of a shock to me but I had no issue with that. When I came back to the register she was deep into her phone and then I remembered that another one of my lip products was most likely another tester and I didn't want a used one. After telling her this information she looked up from her phone. looked in my bag and told me that "it's fine" and I rephrased myself and said that I don't want an opened one. She then took the lip product out of the bag held up the product and said, "was it opened like this... yeah then that's fine" then just tossed the product back in the bag. I was fed up by this and told her that "I'll just replace it myself." So I held out my hand so that I can get the same lip shade from the "tester" and she just looked at me with disgust as if "I" did something wrong. I then asked her for the product so that I could get an accurate one and she said "No. I'm gonna defect this one out. You can go get the other one tho" I then said that I needed the shade. She read it out loud to me then went back to being on her phone. Everyone else in that store who helped me was awesome and friendly. Even her coworker who was working the register right next to her was really nice. And I mean to say this very carefully and excuse my French, but Harleen from store 1466 Had THEE shittiest, most stuck up attitude I have ever met in an Ulta and I will refuse service from her or any kind of help from her ever again. I hope no one else has to experience her terrible customer service. Sidenote: And I hate to break it to you. Something that should be kind of obvious no matter what kind of day your having. If you CHOSE to work in customer service. Get your Customer service pants on and tie your freaking bootstraps. No one should leave your store feeling shitty. I ordered online, a buy 1, get the second item 40% off. This was the only location that stated it was all in stock. So I drove in traffic, on a Friday to get there and they did not have all of my items, even though the website said it was in stock.The girl who helped me was very nice and apologized. The manager on duty, Meredith, didn't seem to care, even though it was their mistake. I explained the reason I bought this item was for the 40% off the second item. We all can see the inflation and know makeup is not cheap, but she could care less what I was saying. She had no real explanation, no solution nor was she apologetic to why all my items were not in stock. She flat out just didn't care what I had to say. I had a wonderful experience at this Ulta salon! Deshon was amazing, as always. She took her time with the post-pandemic mess on my head, and it came out fantastic. She's handled my hair for years and keeps it healthy, allowing me to grow it this long. I just adore it. The other woman there was getting a similar hair by Taryn, but a much more ashy blonde. I really needed my hair colored and they got me in. but it is truly a disaster. I wanted my roots covered and blended, and a couple foils to brighten my blonde. the girl thought I needed a high light, I kinda agree, which would have been ok had she highlighted my hair. she did foil part of my hair, then she literally died my roots almost black, she was very apologetic and did try to lighten the black color off my hair (and my skin) which did lighten oh so slightly!!!! but my hair actually looks worse now than when I went in, my grey/white actually blended way better than what I have now. Now I have totally dark roots with blonde hair that is not brightened at all and I look like trailer park trash!!! on top of that they charged me $244.00 to look like this. which is crazy, they should be ashamed it's a total rip off, either the product was bad or the girl just grabbed the wrong bottle. only gave them a 1 cause you have to rate them. I regularly get my hair cut and dyed by Sam, the master designer at this location. She is AMAZING and I've been getting my hair done by her exclusively for 4 years. She always makes you feel comfortable with changing your hair and gives you a quote before she does anything. She can recreate anything on Instagram or Pinterest and is able to understand what I want (even with my lack of salon-vocabulary). Her color skills are top notch, she is always cognizant of making sure the tone in my hair looks good with my skin. They don't call her master designer for nothing-- every cut and color from her I've loved. She's super easy to talk to and totally understands social anxiety. She also helped me pick out makeup and other services in the salon! Everyone there is so lovely and really make you feel pampered. I recommend her and this Ulta specifically to everyone I know, especially those looking for a bayalage. read more

I scheduled to do a "balayage" with KRISTA and it turned out horrible. The front was yellow/orange tone and the bottom was completely brown. Nothing like a balayage so I had to get it done again by Sam the master/manager. If you plan on getting your hair done I would recommend her. She charges more but worth it. I really like Ulta because they have so many brands in one place and also have great deals at times. My only Problem with them is service. They have employees that only work with certain brands or sections It not in all sections So if you want a color match or advise on a different brand you are sort of screwed. read more

Overall I like this Ulta location. It's very clean and so many friendly staffs on the floor. My 1 star review is for the checkout counter for my 3 visits so far. The cashier always asks for my phone number and I always kindly say " Sorry, but I don't want to give out my phone number." And then all the cashiers always go on and say "oh it makes it easier for return and etc..." and I continue to say "No thank you" and it goes. Today, I bought a gift card, mascaras and brow pencils and the cashier asks me for my phone number again and I replied the same way "No I rather not give out my number" and she tells me that I can't return or get a refund on anything without a phone number. And then she asks my teenage daughter who was with me "Do you have a phone number?" and I told myself are you kidding me? I again declined to give my daughter's number and just wanted to get out of there. I know she was trying to scare me with the no return BS to get our phone numbers and that's not the way to treat the customers. I can return/refund an item with a printed receipt. When a customer says "No", just respect his/her choice PLEASE. I will just not go back to this location to avoid any hassle at check out. There are plenty of stores out there read more

My sister and I went in here to purchase new foundation for prom, and the women working disgusted me. It was no secret they were whispering to eachother, eyeing us both up and down, and talking into their mics calling us "possible shoplifters." I brushed it off at first because I really needed the foundation. I asked to get color matched and was greeted with a grunt and a "uh yea sure." When she matched my color, I asked what the name of the shade was so I could buy it (because she didn't tell me at the time of matching) and she literally refused to tell me and said she'd get it herself and bring it to the counter. By far the worst Ulta Beauty location - I'm a frequent Ulta shopper and have never had any issues prior to visiting this location. The other reviews are correct, they have a knack of treating their customers as criminals (especially their customers of color) they also are extremely passive aggressive. The manager "Carissa" (who made no time to speak to a visibly upset customer) was the main individual treating her customers as criminals. It is disheartening to even think about the disgusting treatment so many other customers have faced at this location. I am disappointed in Ulta Beauty for allowing one of their locations to continue to treat customers in that manner. read more

Pretty standard Ulta. I don't feel like the 'Outlet' feel is there, but it is a welcome addition to the mall so you can impulse buy beauty products. The location is clean, and this was the opening weekend, so the staff was on their best performance on my visit. The store in the outlet mall is new, but is the best I've been to. It's very well organized and laid out. Always clean and the staff is very kind and always willing to go the extra mile to help out! Every time I've been in getting my hair done or buying products, Valerie and Jordan alway make sure my experience is top notch, whether it's answering questions about point or products, they make sure you have the right information. Then there is Sam! I love this lady. She's the reason I've become an ulta girl. I've been regularly (and exclusively) having Sam cut my hair since 2014. Seriously, I trust nobody else to cut, dye, tone, you name it to my hair but her! Her skills are basically magic. My first time having my hair cut at Ulta beauty salon and was so excited. I have long straight hair, and just wanted a trim. I asked I a desired amount off. Not only did they cut off inches more than asked, it was very uneven. When I brought it up, my stylist got a co worker to ask her what she thought. She agreed with me it was uneven and told my stylist to cut more off. My hair was dry at this point. I never have had a worse cut!!! The worst! I am so frustrated with Ulta salon.... when I first started going to Ulta (this FIRST time I went was October 2019) I was told by my stylist that what I wanted to get done would take at least 2 trips. Fine- I totally understand things take time. During my appointment she spoke poorly of the rest of the staff. Super uncool of her to do that. I wasn't shocked when I returned for my 2nd appointment and I was told that she wasn't working there anymore. 2nd stylist and she tells me that my hair would take 4 visits to get what I wanted and then colored my hair the opposite of what I wanted. Third trip scheduled but I was called late in the evening the night before my appointment saying that that person had been in an accident and wouldn't be in. Ok- I reschedule for when she is supposed to be back. I walk in and I'm told that she doesn't work there anymore (here comes my favorite part) the girl at the desk doesn't apologize and tells me on top of my stylist not being there that I was lied to by their people and my hair would never be able to do what I want it to do.... so, I left. Can I just say, WOW! I came here for the first time as a salon client! Rocky colored, cut, lightened, and styled my hair. Y'all! She is AHHHHMAZZZIIINNGGG! One thing I find super important with my experiences at salons, is if I don't have any issues in the shampoo bowls. Rocky was very careful to not splash me with water, made sure all color, shampoo, and conditioning products we're rinsed throughly, and another plus is she has that magic touch that could make you fall asleep from being so relaxed! I went here today and the entire time a worker lady was WATCHING me and whispering things to other co workers about me. Then when I needed to ask a question she whispered something into her little microphone thing and then just said "hmm I think over there" and pointed then kept staring into my bag .
