I visited this location on a Tuesday afternoon looking to make a somewhat complicated return. I opted to browse the store, it was clean, well organized and stocked. I then proceeded to approach a customer sales associate with my complicated return and she was able to get the process started at the register. From there the store manager was able to take over in training another employee on how to complete this transaction. Shout out to the store manager as he was calm, patient and skilled throughout the whole transaction. Overall great experience and thankful they have expert associates skilled to handle all types of transactions. read more

Incredible! I help a dear friend who just turned 86 yesterday! For her birthday she wanted to go to get new makeup at Ulta! I was terrified- it's such a big store so many options and also a lot of walking! We went in and a sales associate helped us! Maja made sure the chair was the right height for my dear Maria and then proceeded to spend literally an hour going through the items that Maria was wanting without making us search the store! Plus Maja's expertise was so extensive that there's no way we could have had a better tour of all the choices! The layout of all Ulta stores makes me claustrophobic in the same way as IKEA's mouse maze does. Sales staff float with keys to unlock merchandise or allow you to sample items under lock and key, sad sign of our times. I was looking for a rollerball/purse size of YSL Mon Paris. I was wandering aimlessly and asked someone a couple questions who basically brushed me off. When I asked Zoe, she immediately jumped to my aid, offered color matching to help me find my shade, and recommended some things. I am dumbfounded as to how anyone could work here for more than 10 minutes, because I could barely handle the wave of perfume and aggressively-loud pop music that hit me as soon as I walked in. I literally left tasting nothing but vanilla, jasmine and amber until I had lunch. I assume there were sales folks on the floor, but none approached me even though I'm sure I looked like a deer in headlights. If I could give this specific store a 0 or even a negative star I would. The incompetence of the women working the register is incomparable. I was astonished at the way they were speaking to me and speaking to other customers next to me in line. She cussed at me when trying to explain why she could not return a product I had purchased and USED ONCE because it was less than 50% full. This is 1) impossible since I used the product once, 2) abhorrent the way she spoke to me, 3) products that are powder SETTLE which causes them to condense thus making the product look like less when really it's the same amount, and 4) THIS WAS THE WAY I BOUGHT IT. I really liked the ease of use at the hair salon. The booking of the appointment was so so easy and convenient. I wanted an appointment anything between same day and same week, and at Ulta it was possible. I imagine during peak hair time season then there might be a longer wait, unsure. While I love supporting the independent salons, this location has a robust hair salon that fits my needs. I highly recommend. I would return for hair services. I went to get some new make-up and a Hispanic employee asked if they could help me find anything. I was there for a foundation and mentioned the one I was interested in. I was led to the Chanel makeup section, which was actually her area. After an hour in her chair I ended up buying $300 in Chanel cosmetics. I went home and tried everything but the foundation and blush just wasn't working for me. I ended up returning everything a few days later. I came back to the salesperson and thanked her for her help, but the products didn't work for me and told her I returned them. Instead of offering standard customer service of like, "oh I'm sorry that didn't work out for you." She looked me up and down and said "Oh." I smiled and said, "OK! Well, thanks again again I just wanted to let you know." I continued to shop and another Hispanic cosmetic representative basically followed me around like I was going to steal something! Some things I truly love about this store- great layout, products that target both young and aging skin, nice staff. My issue is that I've been here for a color match, maybe 3 or 4 times in the past year and a half and nobody has been able to get it right. Think Zendaya in the winter and a light Keke Palmer in the summer. The last time I came in, the product was applied to my cheek and blended upwards toward my eyes instead of downwards towards my jawline to see if it matched. With a quick glance in the mirror it was clear (to me at least) that my face and neck were two different colors. However, Val is the one who can work a magic on my hair that no one else has ever been able to do. She is a master at color, but she really shines with her cutting skills. I would give this store a zero rating if I could. Yesterday the store's computer system was down so the girl at the register said she would hold my items. Didn't say for how long, hours or anything. She took my name and number and said she would call when the system came back on. She never called. I came back today asking for the items they put on hold and the manager Romeo was so rude. They didn't hold my items as they said they would. This person Romeo didn't bother to look or even apologize. I wonder if other people have experienced Romeo's rudeness. I'm not sure if a manager was on duty or not but employees were yelling to each other across the store (not appropriate work conversation I may add). I could get over that if customer service was good, but sadly it wasn't. Shannon was extremely rude to me when I was checking out. I informed her that I did not want to provide my name and phone number for an account. She was extremely pushy and when I again refused she rolled her eyes at me and showed me a sheet of paper that had a bunch of numbers on it stating I could save $250 if I just gave my name and number. Again I refused and then she didn't say another word the rest of the transaction. Not the total, asking for method of payment or confirmation that we were finished with this transaction. Order pick up is always such a frustrating experience. Within the last year, I've picked up about 10 orders and 9 out of 10 order pick ups I had to walk around the store to find someone to help me. I could've walked into the store, grabbed my products and checked out faster than picking up my order--yet I'm always hopeful this will change. I have been ignored countless of times by cashiers checking people out while I'm waiting to pick up my order. They help check people out that waited less time than me (and yes, I do try to get their attention between checking out people). I've said "excuse me" to cashiers who don't acknowledge me. I hate having to find someone in the store to help me with my order pick up because I really shouldn't have to do that, especially when the purpose of an order pick up is to come in, pick up and leave.
