I've had a lot of issues with my hair I'm not even gonna get into it.... anyway with that being said I still wanted something really complicated as my hairs health was at stake. I dyed it 3 times and bleaching it twice in the last 6 months. After all that I still wasn't happy with my hair...finally set an appointment at ulta because it's right around the corner. Here's the tricky part... I wanted her to match my hair to deep red extensions. Ky did such a good job she a was totally all artist/chemist about it... mixin up colors and all that. I could tell she takes her job seriously. She's cool, easy going. Knows what to do with hair. Came back for a hair cut a week after she dyed it and she did a really good job with that too... I hate hair cuts, hate(d) my hair but I think she did a very good job ! She knows good products too btw.... gave me thickening lotion... big help to loving my hair a little more. Anyway..... the before and after photo shocked me... I knew it was bad I didn't realize terrible it was *photo contains graphic images* just kidding. ANYWAY stylists IG is right there on the screenshot so if you need a color or cut I can vogue for her! She does a very very good job. I'm posting the extensions I ordered off amazon also. I will get done up and take a photo of it all together but I can say she matched them flawlessly and that Is an advanced skill!!!! read more

I decided to try Ulta for a haircut since I haven't been satisfied with others that I've tried in the Cedar Park area. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my service. Peggy was my stylist and she was fantastic. She listened to what I thought and made me feel valued. I left with my hair looking exactly how I wanted. It was by far the best experience I've had since moving to town. I highly recommend her! read more

Horrible service, manager sucked she was very rude. Cashier Estefania asked me to sign up for a credit card and mentioned I would save $100.00 if I did, I refused and said I was okay, and then the manager walked by with this side ways smart response, saying "oooh you'd save $100.00 and your pre approved" then my curiosity I asked what does Pre approved mean, she said it meant I was guaranteed to get the card and I was going to save the money, all they needed to do was submit it, well I agreed at that point, seeing as it was "guaranteed" so we go through the whole process and it says bank requires verification, and I say okay, but I'm approved so I'll save the money, then they asked me to pay for the transaction, and I noticed I didn't save any money, so I mentioned that why am I not getting the discount? They mentioned because the bank needs verification, and I mention they had said I was already approved and I was guaranteed going to get it. So the cashier felt she couldn't answer all the questions and she calls over the manager at the time manager continues to tell me that there is no guarantee and that she can't give me the discount because they can't illegal run my credit and some other non sense that made no sense. I then mention that in that case I want to cancel the application because I don't need my credit being run, she said that is not a problem I can call the MasterCard company and they would cancel it and no harm would be done to my credit. That was not the case I contact them and ask to cancel the application, they advise me they can not cancel it because I already submitted it and they have to respond to it. So the manager lied to me as well, and gave false information. Very upsetting customer service, she was very aggressive in her responses, I've been to ulta's many times but this one was upsetting. read more

I'm doubtful that this will get a response, I noticed most of the negative reviews didn't get one. I had questions about a credit for returned merchandise that did not show up on my credit card statement. The girl at the counter helped me as best she could but asked her manager to step in. Manager obviously could not care less about helping me, and even left in the middle of the conversation. She was so very rude. And I don't suggest getting one of their credit cards either. Impossible to get through the automated phone system to make a payment, slightly easier to go online and set it up using your bank info or debit card. A VERY unsatisfactory response from a so called manager at this location. Otherwise the store is okay, not exceptional, just okay. read more

Had another great experience at Ulta today! There were plenty of employees available ready to assist seasoned shoppers and help those who were obviously gifting. The cash wrap was running smoothly and pleasant, too. Christina at the Brow Bar did an amazing job as always! She has helped transform my sparse 90s brows into more natural full brows. I also had a blast shopping with Patrick today! He helped me treat myself to some great new products that I can't wait to try. read more

I give their salon services a 1 star for the following reasons. I came in to get my hair trimmed and for a balayage. Being that I have dark hair I made sure to ask if I should even try getting my hair balayaged and my stylist said it wouldn't be a problem -- that she could get it as light as a caramel color. I also asked her to trim my hair and make sure my face was framed. My hair did not lighten up. It ended up dark brown. When I told her that I couldn't see the balayaged caramel color she told me -- don't worry about it, it'll lighten up. Then a chunk of hair was cut from my sides making it difficult to style or even tuck behind my ears. I was charged $200. Lesson learned. I will not be getting my hair done at any Ulta Beauty locations again. read more

I am fully aware of the restrictions that COVID has brought to so many businesses but as I was looking at a compact a store associate shouted "HEY...WE CAN'T OPEN" from across the store so loud it literally startled me. Awful salon!!!! I recently got my hair cut and the lady that cut it was shaking so bad, she could barely hold the comb, she said it was because she had just used her inhaler. Hmmmm, I think she was high as a kite. So obviously Ulta has no standards in who they hire and obvious that they don't drug test the employees. So disappointed. I should have walked out but I didn't and I paid the price of an awful uneven cut. I also got my daughters hair cut as well and they charged me $65 for her straight hair cut with a light amount of long layers. Ugh! When I asked why it was so expensive I was told that, that was the price. Makes no sense. The manager there was so rude and disrespectful when I asked for the first time 20% coupon, said I should have know better to ask for that in the beginning. Huh? Whatever you do Never go to the Ulta salon, you will be so disappointed and have to go somewhere else to have it fixed. This review is about Peggy in the Salon. She has now both colored and cut my hair and both were fabulous! I've never had so many compliments on my hair color!! She really listens and understands what you want and then explains what it's going to take to get there and what her recommendation is. She also truly understands what it means to be in the customer service business. She treats her clients so well. After two years of lip service and extremely disappointing color from other salons - I can't tell you how happy I am to have found Peggy! She's amazing! read more

Honestly didn't have the best experience! My hair stylist was good, but for the price I definitely could've gone somewhere with better products. I got a balayage & it did not turn out as I wanted. When they processed my hair, usually they apply heat to your entire head, but they only put it on one side so hair my hair was lighter than the other. Their processing room is their break room, so instead of a relaxing experience during my process/hair wash, all the stylists gossiped around me. My hair turned yellow when I used parabean free shampoo, and didn't go back to a brighter color until I started using a purple shampoo. I wasn't told it had to be a purple shampoo to stay bright, and in the past, I had used the shampoo on my highlights & they never faded at all. I definitely recommend another salon. read more

Ulta is my favorite place for beauty products and salon services. Excellent on all levels.

I've worked at Ulta in other states as well as visited plenty across the US but this is by far the worst location. Not only did no one know what they were talking about, but when asked for certain products they would "go in back" (never actually did) to check then just never come back to tell me they didn't have it. Also the manger seemed so unorganized and rude when asked anything. There was barely any customers there but she claimed it was too busy. No one the worked there was friendly or greeted customers either which was strange for Ulta. This store needs a reboot. I'd rather drive further then go back there. read more

I went to last month and was waiting in a long line due to Christmas shoppers and over heard one of the cashiers tell the lady she was cashing out that she was grateful she had her coupon out and ready followed by saying in a snarky tone that most people don't have there's ready as she rolled her eyes. I thought it was a little rude but whatever. Then when I went to the store more recently there was nobody to help me when I noticed some things were out of stock so I went to check out and asked about two items and was stared at blankly and just told "we can order it online" no "I can check and see if we have them" or any offer of help. I feel like the employees really must hate there jobs if they're constantly in a grumpy mood and don't want to help customers. I hope management starts hiring other people. read more

Not impressed. I asked for a lob haircut at my salon appointment. Showed a picture, specifically said SHOULDER length. Because the stylist cut it wet, (after I told her I had naturally thick curly hair) I couldn't tell while she was snipping that she had cut too short in the back. It is basically ruined and not fixable. Just have to wait for it to grow. Because my hair is so thick the stylist did have the knowledge to thin it out. However, the length (or lack of) makes it so that my hair is super bushy and any more thinning would take more length off. The stylist was polite and asked the right questions about styling and made good recommendations, I just can't understand how after a picture and the word LOB my hair is chin length, with no shape and too hard to straighten bc it curls up in the back. I would not recommend curly or coily girls get their hair done here if there is no knowledge on how to cut and style such hair. I will say they are very clean and everything is sanitized. read more

I love the people at this store. From the floor staff to the salon, they are always so sweet and knowledgeable. I recently started getting my hair cut and colored by Francesca after seeing other beautifully styled clients leave her chair. She is absolutely amazing. I love going to the Ulta Salon in Cedar Park. Francesca is amazing. I've been receiving service from Francesca for a while. I have a scalp condition and she is the only Master Stylist that has ever taken the time to figure out what products will work for me and never uses anything that creates issues. I'm one of those who will look at a photo and believe I will walk away looking like the picture (right). Francesca is honest about what it is going to take and how realistic the out come will be. I have always walked away feeling like a beauty. The salon stylist are all extremely friendly and I've never witnessed a customer walk away unhappy. If you are looking for a fun and fantastic style I strongly recommend the Ulta Salon in Cedar Park and more so recommend making an appointment with Francesca Montoya. read more

Honestly, I had to think long and hard about this before I wrote it. I came in on Monday(Columbus day) and left right around 6:30-7:00 I had two kids with me. I was distracted because it was getting a little late, and it was storming outside. I was worried about driving them home when it was raining so hard. I paid for my first round of products with cash, and the second thing with a card. I had $80 in my hand that I left on the counter, I only remembered that I left it there after I got home. It was raining so hard that I didn't want to get my kids back out, and risk an accident. I was counting on the store being honest, and when I called the next morning the lady I spoke with reassured me that I did not leave anything on the counter. Especially not cash. Now I believed her until I picked up my sister from school, and she asked if I went back and got the money I had left. I asked her if she was sure if I left it, and she said yes. She also said she didn't say anything because she thought I was leaving it there on purpose. I thought about making a police report, and my husband agrees that I should. It's not about the money, it's more about principle and bad customer service. I hope that I am wrong, and that mine and my sisters memory is incorrect. I hope I dropped that money somewhere else, but I can't help but feel the two employees working the front where already annoyed with me paying with two different forms, asking to order things online, and my kids being a bit rambunctious. I'm just saying, don't leave things in this store, be careful not to drop anything because you likely will not get it back. read more

I've gone to ULTA a lot over the years for shopping and getting my hair done at their salon. I've been to numerous ULTA locations and never had a terrible experience til now. I was excited to see a new location open and decided to shop here. The shopping experience was fine just like any other ULTA location. After awhile I decided to try out their salon. I've gone to a lot of different ULTA salons and had good experiences other than their salons seem to have a high turnover of hairdressers. I'm lucky to get the same hairdresser 3 times in a row. I made an appointment to get a haircut and style. A few minutes into my appointment I got this feeling the hairdresser didn't want to be there. I felt like she was rushing my appointment and it was making me feel awkward. I had to point things out to her that she was missing because she was trying to rush the whole process. I would say on average a haircut and style at ULTA would be a minimum of 30 minutes and rightly so for the price we pay. She was going so fast that I think we finished in under 20 minutes. That's from explaining what I want, to washing my hair, cutting, blow drying, and styling. She almost wasn't going to do any sort of styling even though my appointment included it and just send me on my way after blow drying until I asked if she would. Also, it was kind of annoying she would face my chair away from the mirror and directly towards someone else getting a haircut... very awkward especially when the salon is already small and we're practically sitting right next to each other. At the end of the appointment, she was the very first hairdresser I came across that didn't ask me if I wanted to book another appointment in the future. It made sense because the whole time she made me feel like I was a nuisance to her and she didn't want to be there thus rushing the whole thing. Later in the day I find out, thanks to someone else, that the hairdresser missed cutting a huge chunk of hair in the back. So I actually had to have someone else fix that for me that same day. They told me that they found it hard to believe she missed it because it was so obvious and they noticed it right away. I'm thinking either she didn't care or truly missed it because of all the rushing to get me out of the salon. I haven't been back to this ULTA location since that experience at their salon which was awhile ago. read more

So I went by there today to return my items and then rebuy them for double the points and the girl ALEX ! Seemed nice but I can tell she was getting irritated with me as soon as I said I couldn't find this one product on the wall . I told her "there was none" she Went to a different part of the store and found me one ..... I noticed it was bigger than the one I was trying to exchange which means it cost more I had no problem with that because I didn't realize they had a bigger one. So I asked her "is that one bigger" her response was "oh my gosh" as I can tell she was annoyed and she walked away to go get the smaller one I stopped her and told her "that was fine" plus I'm not a complicated customer I could of been rude but I wasn't that's some rude customer service ! Y'all need to teach these girls some manners because that's freaking ridiculous! I'm never coming to this Ulta if I experience this again !!! read more

Unfortunately I have to give them some kinda star to be able to post!! Horrible service!! I buy all the time from the sunset valley one and such a different experience. I was returning 2 items. First of all the girl made it seam like I had committed a crime by doing this! I gave them my rewards # she is like I can't find!! I told her when I bought and when I thought! The girl says nope and we just got our systems updates so I'm even going back more than 60 days. She then states I never do this but we can give you the lowest price since you don't have receipt..the make up alone was $44 but she would give me $14 I'm like no that is ridiculous.i called customer service very nice lady found the receipt right away. Sent it to the store I asked to speak to manager Cassandra (no better!!) didn't want to hear it deal with it just wanted to complete the transaction! Then tried to say well I think your # was wrong..told me # and it's my # that I have had for 20 years..I see why associates are horrible they mimick managers!! I'll be shopping at Nordstrom or Sephora where they treat the customers better! Ulta you are not the only makeup store!! Get better customer service!! read more
