However, the receptionist, Jaden (red curly haired girl), was noticeably rude in both tone and demeanor. There were dismissive facial expressions and an overall unwelcoming attitude that made me feel uncomfortable right away. As a new customer, first impressions matter, and this interaction was not a good one. I respect professionalism and understand policies around timing, but there's a way to communicate that respectfully. The staff were so informative and receptive to my feedback and constantly asked me if I liked what they were doing thus far. I never ever go day to day without at least some form of filter to even out my skin tone and walking out of Sephora I could not wait to take pics and show off my face. One of the best things about it is that my favorite features (freckles and lashes) were barely touched up at all.. obsessed!! I found out my friend Alyssa just got a job here and I try my best to support my friends so I made an appointment with her. She was unfortunately running late so I almost went with a different hairdresser but Alyssa walked into her station right before the other hairdresser was going to cut my hair and she gave me right over to Alyssa. I appreciate that this other hairdresser wasn't trying to client steal. I don't know her name but the integrity is appreciated. Alyssa is my new soul hairdresser. She's younger than I am but we still got along, we gelled over some common traits including crazy colored hair and tattoos and trainwreck behavior. I love what she did with my hair. She did a bob and it's not too short, not too long, it's slammin'. I've been box coloring my own hair but I think I'm going to come back here for color if I can budget for it and not spend money on something else. My son came with me for this appointment and he was amazing during the appointment. I'll try my best to come without him but I appreciate that he was allowed in the shop with me because sometimes you have to take your kid. I loved this place and I love Alyssa!!!!

As soon as the dye hit my scalp, it was burning beyond what I normally face. And I've been coloring my hair since I was 13. I kept inquiring about it and was told, give it a minute and it will calm down. I can tell you that five days later, it still hasn't calmed down. I went to my usual hairdresser to get it fixed and cost me another 200 bucks. I was told that the layers were uneven and absolutely disconnected. There was a large portion in the back that was not even touched so overall it was a waste of money, a waste of time, and five days of an itchy scabby scalp. Nobody was particularly friendly, but I was there for a cut, not to make friends. Needless to say they're earning their three star service, but my hair looked and felt worse leaving than coming in, so two stars is generous. I did call the salon today to talk about it and I was promptly dismissed. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

I did not read the 3 recent Yelp reviews from other customers who had really bad experiences with this Salon. Deepika - " poor and rude customer service", chasing down a nine month pregnant woman. Shreya " ruined, destroyed". Jaswinder " sheer waste of money" These are words from their reviews. My mother knows the owners for 40 years and meets them on a regular basis at parties, lunches, card games and get togethers. My mother is blind in her right eye. Her vision and perception are hence hindered. I drove her to the salon for her cut n color appointment with the owner Nina L. Nina had her daughter Evina handle it. The other owner/partner Vineet's father, manager and front desk counter person Mr Darshan ( goes by Deekay) N was very polite and welcoming. I was told to come back after 90 minutes which I did. He told me not to forget her winter cap as it was really cold. Very considerate. It took about two hours. I paid the $94 in cash ( Yelp 10 percent discount so $105 total minus the $11, plus a $33 cash tip plus a box of Lindt truffles that I had picked up in Switzerland). Got home and then actually looked at her head carefully. She had been butchered. ( see both photos). Her scalp was showing.The hair was cut way too short. The color was lighter than she requested and normally got. I took photos. I went back with the photos 2 days later. When I mentioned the issues, the really nice Manager Mr N ( owner Vineet's father) snapped, I mean yelled at me" What are you showing me this for ? I am not the aesthetician.". I politely asked for Nina L. She got flustered and denied everything. " Her hair was already like this". " This is what your mother wanted" etc. It took every ounce, every fiber of self control in my being not to say anything, not to react! I waited and stood there and she eventually did say, " I am sorry!". I responded " Is that it?" She then stated " Oh ok, I will fix it!", then turned and walked away. I counted to ten, smiled, waved and walked out. We did not go back, even for the free fix it.
