I went there today no one offered to help they have bad customers service I had questions about different project no one wanted to help

OMG, I visited the Ulta location in Homestead and the service that I received from Alysha Prats was impeccable. She was very PROFESSIONAL and knowledgeable about the make-up products. The skin match was spot on, THE FIRST ATTEMPT!!! I was thoroughly impressed with my interaction w/ Alysha. Let's not mention her amazing personality. I've been a customer of Ulta for almost 10 years. Today I decided to try their salon. I don't know anybody, so I booked with the first available stylist. I have blonde hair with long gray roots. I just needed all my head colored blonde so my grays can camouflage better; nothing too difficult to achieve. I don't know the name of the stylist because she never introduced herself, and I'm sure she doesn't know mine either. After she finished washing my hair, she told me that the toner had made the color darker. She also told me that it was my hair's fault, because it was so dry that it absorbed too much toner. I wanted to be blonder, and ended up darker than I arrived. I told her to do the blow dry, and maybe it'd look different. She answered that it was not included. I told her I would pay for the blow dry, and she answered that the store was closing soon. I got up, told her this is not what I asked her to do, paid my bill and left. With my hair wet and the cold hair outside, I got to my car and started crying. In a world where middle age women have to fight to be seen, I never felt more invisible than at a Ulta store today. read more

I came in the store last Sunday to buy a cleanser for my face. I was not sure where to look. So I ask a lady if she can help me. Oh my God! she was so rude. I can't right now you are going have to wait because I am serving someone else. Hello!!! Apparently the customer service differently was not there. I understand you're busy but can you say let me see if I can get you someone that can help you. Wow!!! terrible customer service. They lost me as a customer because now I go to the one in Pinecrest. They treat you with respect and are not rude at all. Always, trying to help. Wow I was in shock how someone can be so rude and is still working there. So I came by a new Ulta Beauty that opened up near my house last week. Why you ask? I was bored... really bored. I had just come out of Michaels next door to frame some art I just bought. Since I had nothing to do and never been inside an Ulta before I thought ehhh why not... Not surprising the store is full of beauty products... many I have no knowledge of. They do eyebrows, makeup, facials, etc here... as I walked around I thought wow this store is really not for me But I continued to explore and walk around and was surprised to find a men section... they carried American Crew products and several other brands I never heard of but seemed high end. They had shampoos, conditioners, body wash, stuff for beards etc. I actually got a small bottle of American Crew shampoo that had tea tree oil in it because I used to use that brand back in high school and because I love tea tree oil products. I want to see how it works. Still, though, I think a store so large should have a bigger men's section. We had a chunk of one aisle.... the entire rest of the store was for women. I understand they probably make more sales from the fairer sex... but still men should have a little more selection though... also why not advertise you sells men's products... if I didn't enter out of boredom I would have never known. read more

Came here to get a trim. My hairdresser was Javares, he was pretty good and gave amazing scalp massages. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he delivered. Service was very quick and there were same day appts available as well. They should really bring back Skin Care back to this location instead of forcing everyone to go to Miami. Homestead behold, Ulta is finally here!! Finally an Ulta closer to home! Today was the crand opening and the first 100 people all got a little treat. We all had to wait in a line for the doors to open at 10 am (they really opened at 10:03 but a little extra vitamin D never hurt nobody). We were greeted by staff who were kind and glammed up, passing out shopping bags and our first 100 people treats. The aisles are organized and brands are listed above along with categories of makeup, perfumes, hair styling products, eyelashes, brushes, and more. I knew exactly what I was coming for so I was in and out in less then 15 minutes. I must say the staff was well prepared and everyone offered to help me locate all the products I needed and wanted to look at. Upon checkout I opened my surprise and was happy to get a 15% discount. Ulta is a definite stop for all your hair, skin, and make up needs. They also have a salon available in case you need to get glammed up or just a trim. Recently visited on the 15th of February to pick up my birthday reward. The girl who helped me name was Grethel , she was super helpful and nice. The reason I rated this store 4 stars is because besides her the other lady workers seemed very biased and stuck up. Walking into the store I was not greeted yet the person behind me was. I usually go to Sephora because it's more welcoming but decided to give ulta one more try but was fairly disappointed because I do not feel welcomed. read more

I shop here alot with makeup All the ladies that works at their station are amazingly helpful. I feel very confident after they sold me a product I want to use. Anyway reason I rate this store.. I had a haircut, Bob a line.. before i rven said yes To having my hair cut I asked her if she knows how to cut Asian hair and if she knows how to thin out Asian hair she replied back yes I know how. Seems like she was very very confident.. And after half way done I've noticed to she didn't cut my hair as short as I wanted and so I asked her if she was going to cut my hair more she said no that was a red flag secondly I asked her to trim lightly on the sideburns so that it's half an inch shorter than my front bangs just half an inch shorter she looked at my friend and rolled her eyes ( I saw her in the mirror) and continue cutting my hair on my right side she cut it was nicely done but she could appointed pointy it out a little bit more and then on the left side she chopped it and did NOT measure my other side!!!.its to a point where I can't even pull it back behind my ear it was so uneven I was so mad. she wanted to touch up on my right side to make it short like my left side, I said no DO not touch it I'm so upset my hair is a like a mushroom head and no thinning out nothing whatsoever I'm never ever coming back to this also ever again. I absolutely hate coming too this Ulta. There is this one young girl with glasses that looks miserable , I mean absolutely miserable when you go too check out . As a customer I am polite and I don't wanna get service from someone who doesn't even wanna be there. I am not saying you gonna be a dancing clown but lighten up. I would understand if she had a bad day ( even then you should leave your issues at home) but in all honesty when I have to go I actually hope she's not there cause she kills my vibe. I love ulta, and I love makeup. But this ulta is not so great. I find myself not finding half of the things I go into the store looking. They do not carry a lot of brands, and for example a brand like Morphe they have a few things and lack the simple basics like setting spray and etc. I have walked in here a few times and could not find it, asked the girls for help and they've said they either don't have it or don't even know the brand..yet the brand is usually found at ulta. I have been told to order things online which in my opinion defeats the purpose of going into the store. I find the location on 88th has a much larger variety of merchandise and though it's far it may be a better idea to just go to that one from the get go. They should really consider expanding this one and carrying more items since it is the only ulta in the south since the one at Southland Mall closed. read more

ULTA BEAUTY = AWESOME! I LOVE shopping at Ulta Beauty, I have visited the Homestead location about 3 times. Twice to try the salon and once to try the brow bar. My two visits at the salon were OK, but my brow bar experience has been AWESOME! Let me start off by saying this location has all the boutiques such as; lancome, benefit, clinique, Mac, and much more. Everything that was in the South-land mall location is here, plus more! The parking for this location is spacious, since it is located in a shopping center. Parking will not be a issue. Salon, if you decide to visit the salon I suggest making a appointment online or through the Ulta mobile application. I can't really suggest a good stylist because, the only one good one I knew she no longer seems to work there. Brow Bar, I am SO happy with my experience here! I went in for a Brow Wax and Tint with Anita. I recommend anyone trying the brow bar for the first time to book the appointment with her, she is very nice and gentle as-well with your brows. Make sure you call ahead of time to book the appointment. Thank you Anita for the awesome brows! Overall the store is clean and the workers here are very friendly. I recommend visiting this store, you won't regret it. read more

Customer service is always exceptional and I love the lady who does eyebrows there but I don't know her name:-(. Staff is also very honest about whether they like/dislike products. Dee Dee rocks! I went to this location looking for a gentle moisturizer not really knowing what I was doing. I have never had any skin problems but I was dry and breaking out. I was immediately asked if I needed help and escorted to the skin care specialist, Dee Dee, who listened carefully to my concerns and had me try on a few different moisturizers. My wife & I went into the new Ulta tonight. There was 1 or 2 other customers in the store along with 6 or more employees. It is a beautiful clean store. We wandered around the entire store & the only employee that came near us was the security guard. He was following us like a puppy dog(within 6 feet of us). When we made eye contact with a sales clerk, she would turn around and walk in the opposite direction. This happened more than once, with more than one associate. We were going to spend a fairly substantial amount, as an anniversary present to my wife. We got the distinct feeling we were not wanted in that store, so we left. We even made some very loud comments as we walked past 4-5 employees standing by the door. They refused speak in English & I will not speak Spanish. We will go back one more time, to see if it was a bad night. This review will be revised after that visit. Definitely never coming back to this location.... came in looking for a couple things that I'm running low on and just to shop around , when I asked one of the girls to check if they had anymore things in the back because there wasn't more on the display she said "no" without hesitation she didn't even try to help by double checking or seem interested into helping me or recommend another product similar to it . When i was paying I told the girl upfront about the experience with the girl named Alex and she told me that she was the manager I was truly disappointed! I got an incredible shade match for my sister from one of the employees, for the foundation from Lancôme and the matching powder. However, when it came to my turn for a shade range, another employee attended me. I asked for a shade match, she handed me 3 sponges and then left me. I was shocked that I received such horrible service. I wanted a foundation to hide my acne and help matching me. However I ended up with no foundation and left the store upset and in tears. read more

I was a regular customer at the Benefit Brow Bar for several months. I would go every other week to get my eyebrows tinted and when needed, waxed. The technician was Judie. While she is good with brows, she has no idea how to value a loyal customer. Getting an appointment is no easy task. You're put on hold and your time is not valued. You're at their mercy. I had my bi-weekly appointment with Judie for 11:20 am. I was stuck in traffic and knew I would be a few minutes late. I called the store while driving to let them know I was on my way and no one responded, I got a recording. I arrived at 11:26. I walked over to the Benefit counter and Judie was already working on another customer. A very pompous girl approached me with quite the attitude and I told her I had an appointment with Judie and explained that I was a few minutes late. Judie was right there listening to the entire exchange. The girl proceeded to tell me I was late and Judie couldn't do my brows. She stated I had to reschedule. Aside from the attitude, what bothered me was that Judie stood there and never made an effort to say that I was her client and we would work something out. She just stared as if she didn't know me. I was so highly offended by her attitude that I left. I was a loyal customer and was there every other week in addition, I would always leave her a 20% tip. I was always pleasant and friendly to her. I have waited for her in the past when I arrived and she was still with other customers but obviously the same courtesy was not extended to me. There are plenty of good brow technicians and I value professionalism and loyalty. Judie fails to understand the meaning of that basic skill. Skip the frustration and go elsewhere. read more
