BEWARE! THERE IS NO BENEFIT BROW BAR! talk about false advertising. I booked for an eyebrow wax thru the app, and it lead me to the benefit brow site with the 2 stylists. Showed up to the ulta, only to go to the checkout and be told the stylists are back in the salon. I thought that was strange, but that maybe that's the way it is here. Turns out the benefit brow bar closed, and is no longer existent, even though thru the ulta website it shows and acts like it is. I had a consultation with the understanding that if feasible I would have it done right after. The manager checked me in at 10 and at 10:25 she indicated that Kiara (sp?) will be just a couple of more minutes but she had another appt too coming up. I waited 10 more minutes (total of 50 minutes at Ulta) and no show. The manager asked me if I wanted to reschedule it, which confused me as wasn't it enough that the first impression was a terrible one. Overall, I woke up early to be there 10 mins before my appointment why would she not able to meet it or communicate what prevent it from being on time or an ETA, disappointing and perhaps a sign of a potential worse service. This salon loss my business and yet I am wondering how many more have gone through the same at this place. read more

Brand-new Ulta so it's organized ... so far. In comparison in the Clifton location, this Ulta is definitely neater and there are actually testers available to use. Hooray! How long that will last is uncertain but for now, I will continue to use this location as my "back-up" Ulta. After being unable to purchase a product in my shade at the Clifton location, I went online to try to buy it only to realize that I would be paying a $5.00 shipping fee for a $12.00 product. Easily, my solution was to go to a more secluded Ulta with hopes of finding what I needed. I am so glad I chose to put up with the long ride and try this location out. Found what I needed with ease! I will admit, however, these Ulta girls weren't very helpful. As I roamed the store, I saw a few customers in the store also aimlessly roaming as if they were in need of direction. I have visited this Ulta three times in the last few months and will say the customer service is horrible. The first time I visited, I had a return. The cashier made it pretty obvious she was annoyed, for what? No idea. The second time I visited, I could only see two associates on the floor. One was helping someone else and the second, was sitting on a chair on her phone. Making it almost her mission not to make eye contact with me. After about 10 minutes, I walked up to her to see if she could color match me. Making it obvious she was being interrupted, she asked me what shades I wanted to try (which I don't think is how it works) and after I picked out the colors she point blank said "which one?" Which again, I don't think is how it works, as they are supposed to help. The third time was today, where I went looking for a Dyson Airwrap. After circling the hairstyling tool section, unable to find what I was looking for, none of the three girls chit chatting came up to be me to ask if they could help. Though, there was no one in the store. I then walked up to one of the associates to ask if they had an air wrap, to which the girl replied "no, we haven't had them in two weeks." I understand they are not psychics, but they can be nice, as they are customer service. It's sad this is the closest Ulta, because I will continue to avoid the store as much as possible. read more

I attended the grand opening and have gone here a few times since. I had a hair appointment and it was awful. The young lady dried my hair out so bad (just went for a wash/blow out). She was too busy pausing to answer the phone, and help other customers than dry my hair correctly. Next time I went I was in line and the woman in front of my got a free gift (philosophy item) and said I want to do a random act of kindness, please give it to the girl behind me. Then turned to me and said ENJOY i'm giving my free gift to you. The girl acknowledged her and said "oh how nice, ok sure". My turn to check out, the girl at the counter goes " Yeah i cant't give this to you, you need to spend X amount of money" I was like but she said she wanted to gift it to me and you told her you would. "Yeah not going to happen, SORRY!". Todays visit-- my mom gave me two items as gifts (wrong color). I go to return/exchange them and I got told NO, go get your moms credit card or receipt. Really nice, to tell someone to go be a jerk and tell your family member you returning their gift. She asked her manager and it was still a no. I was told, that" I could have got them at sephora & returned them there". If you have no way of telling- how can you judge someone and accuse them of doing that? I was livid, they were purchased at Ulta, but because my mom didnt use the "rewards card" or provide me with a gift receipt it didn't count. Upon calling the Ulta contact number I was told you are allowed to exchange/return up to 2 items with out a receipt or exchange for the color I wanted at the very least. SO its clear these ladies are not following the Ulta Policies and are not interested in providing great customer service. Worst part-- They are fairly NEW in that shopping center. I gave them a few chances --but after today...SEPHORA all the way. I get treated so nice there and never have to deal with poor customer service like this. I spend ALOT of money on cosmetics but its not worth it to waste your money at this Ulta! read more

This place was a real let down. Would have never gone in there but I thought they sold a mascara I love in store only to realize it was online only. Needed a new brow pencil and decided to check out some other brands instead of just grabbing my regular brand and leave. Boy what a hot mess that was. No samples of any shades in most all brands. I go out of my way to visit this Ulta location - the store is impeccably clean, well organized and the staff is fantastic! I am surprised by the negative reviews because I am always greeted when I come in, I have never had trouble getting advice or suggestions for products, and the few times I have needed to make returns, it has been seamless and painless. Heather is the genius who cuts my hair! I happened to be in the store one morning poking around, she asked if I had any questions or if she could help me with anything and before I even thought about it I blurted "Do you have time to fix my haircut?" She did! The salon I had been going to was on attempt 3 fixing my new bangs and I still looked ridiculous, but in short order, Heather gave me the haircut I had wanted all along. I enjoy chatting with her during my appointment - I really look forward to seeing her and this is the first time in my life I view getting haircuts as a treat instead of a necessary evil because I know I am going to leave Heather's chair looking great instead of ... meh. Facials with Micah are a must! My skin looks incredible and feels even better and an hour with Micah feels like I just spent a week on vacation! She has made excellent recommendations and my skin has never looked better - between facials and the products Micah has recommended, I have seen a little red scar that I have had for more than a decade fade to the point it can hardly be seen and countless other little things that I had just taken in stride and accepted just simply disappearing! I had never had my eyebrows professionally shaped before, but after meeting Liz, I am hooked! I couldn't believe the change - I had always just done my best with tweezers at home, but Liz took the time to find the perfect shape for my face and I love it! She is so friendly - I had the nicest time chatting away while she worked! And she is great for product recommendations too - she turned me on to some great nail polishes and we had a good long talk about the new Urban Decay Vice lipsticks! I have never had a bad experience at checkout and every staff member I have worked with has been helpful and friendly, but the wonderful Melissa stands out - she has helped me find so many of my favorite products and is usually the first person to come up with a big smile and welcome me to the store! She has patiently helped me try on just about every foundation in the store trying to find the perfect one! When we had trouble finding it, she didn't give up - she suggested other products that work with those foundations to make them work better for me! That is incredible customer service - I rely on the consultants to steer me in the right direction and they have never steered me wrong. I can't say enough good things about this location and I mean them all sincerely. I loathe shopping in general and shopping on the weekends is my idea of torture, but I actually look forward to popping into this Ulta on a Saturday morning, enjoying my salon appointments and then poking around for my next favorite product! read more

went to exchange something yesterday and simply asked if they needed my phone number and information for a $3 item that I paid for in cash and the sales girl went off in this nasty rant about how she can get her manager and she would tell me the same thing. Dang. This girl got so worked up on me I actually started laughing because I was not being confrontational at all. A simple yes or no would have been sufficient. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed help here and I overall got a very bad vibe from the employees here. This is where brick and mortar stores fail in my opinion. Why hire people who clearly have an attitude? This is why a majority of people shop online. Long lines and crappy customer service? No thanks. read more

What a nice experience I had today. I was hoping to find a Dermalogica consultant today for a skin consultation, but they didn't have one. However, one of the Ulta staff was more than willing to help me. Henry was very nice and professional. He tried some products on my face according to my skin type. He did focus more on Clinique products as that was his specialty. I ended up getting free gifts/samples from Clinique from my purchases so that was really cool. I would come back here again. Today I came in hoping for a little bit better of an experience. When asked if I could try a sample of a product I was told they don't do that. I'm aware that samples are given at other locations so I thought that was interesting. Then when I asked to just try the product on in store and wipe off what I had on previously, the employee told me I was fine and could put the product over it therefore wouldn't assist me in that. There are so many things wrong with this picture.. being that I am a makeup artist and work with one of the top brands I am well aware of the industry and customer service end. You know very well someone can't get an actual grasp of a product mixing it with another. He just did not want to be bothered. I go above and beyond with my customers. Half the reason you go to Ulta is to be able to use the testers and this store NEVER has testers except for a handful of stuff. It's messy too. Wow! I'm shocked. As I was waiting online to pay for my (overpriced) products, the girl at register called the manger and said someone was on the phone to speak to the hiring manager. The manager came over smirking and said "ugh, why do I always have to take all of the bad calls". And then the girl that answered phone as was helping me said, she probably wants to ask if you received her resume and the manager rolled her eyes and as I was walking out she was saying something like "just tell her blah..blah". The manager doesn't have the professional courtesy to talk to someone that is interested enough in working there and called to follow up? Horrible. to witness the manager laugh at the person and rudely blow them off in front of customers is very disappointing. The cashier was incredibly rude to every single customer that walked up to the counter to pay. I believe her name was Katharina? She yelled at the old lady in front of me for removing her chip card too early. The customers were not even greeted with a hello, just "phone number". She was complaining to a fellow co worker that she has been working five days straight. I also asked if I could use the coupon that was on the back of the catalog and she said "No we do not keep coupons in house, you must bring it in" which would have been a fine answer until she rolled her eyes and acted as if I was bothering her by asking. I left in such a hurry I forgot to ask about my birthday gift. As a store manager, if my employees acted that way towards any of my customers they would be pulled aside and spoken to. No customer cares about your personal problems. You work in customer service, be polite or quit. read more

This store was well laid out. However as with all Ulta's the prices are extreme. I bough Bare Mineral's a brush, concealer, liquid foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. Total almost $140. I did get a free sample and signed up for coupons which the cashier was really pushing. The quality of their makeup truly is better. I would definitely be okay with wearing Covergirl but it is nice to buy the better quality makeup so your skin doesn't breakout. The actual store has a nice parking lot and we went at 8 on a Friday (they are open till 9) and it was empty. Would visit again. read more
