I went in to get a haircut and was charged for a whole other service behind my back. I first went in and was getting my hair washed ( my hair was a little oily and my scalp tends to be dry so it had flakes in it) she said she added clarifying shampoo and I didn't think much of. Mind you I booked it under just a haircut which includes a blow dry. I get the receipt and it's $50 more than I expected. We see listed signature haircut and blowout when I specifically did not ask for that. The hairdresser claimed because of the shampooing and she did a "blowout" that she added that service. I get my hair is thick but I would have been fine if she left it untamed if it meant not getting charged a service I didn't ask for. This was very unprofessional. If I'm going to be charged for something I would at least like to know while in the process of getting my haircut. The hairdressers name was Sheria so be careful if you do book with her. read more

Completely Unprofessional And Bad Experience... This was my first time booking an appointment at Ulta, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I was treated with disrespected by the hairstylist/manger. They spoke to me like I was a burden, not a customer. Just judgmental looks, rude tones, and an atmosphere that made it clear I wasn't wanted there. I came in excited, but I left feeling embarrassed and deeply uncomfortable. There's absolutely no excuse for treating anyone -- let alone a paying customer -- Ulta needs to seriously reevaluate the way their employees handle customer service, it's really hard to put into words how upsetting it is to walk into a place vulnerable, excited, and hopeful but instead feeling embarrassed. After my appointment I was recently told from corporate that they always had problems with the hair salon and the stylists there. That's bad, knowing you have issues but aren't willing to fix it? Well if you're thinking about booking an appointment, I strongly recommend going somewhere that actually wants your business. Ulta completely failed at that. This was just poor service and it is a genuinely hurtful experience that no one should ever experience. I won't be going back. read more

Great location! Large store with benefit brow bar and a salon. MAC counter is great for makeup application if you have an event to attend. My daughter had her prom makeup done there and I've had my makeup done for a few weddings. I've had my brows done at benefit and they came out great! Larger selection of different designers for makeup, perfume/cologne, hair care, and self care products. Great rewards program and many offers on the app if you download it for the counter to scan. read more

Unprofessional employees. Went recently and was very disappointed in my experience. Asked for a color match and they didn't send anyone over for 20 minutes. I ended up coloring matching myself because we were tired of waiting. When I found my shade a worker finally came over to "help". I have very fair skin and the employee went to the opposite end of the color shade and grabbed one that was very dark. I was shocked she swatched it on my face as it was so many shades darker. I said I think the one I found was a better match and she was like okay and walked away. I immediately took the foundation off because I felt offensive with a shade so dark on my face! Then at checkout another employee and manager were just plain rude. Wish there was another Ulta in the area. read more

My review is for Amanda at the salon. She was amazing, I had been putting off a haircut for the longest and knew it was time to just suck it up. My hesitation was from always asking for a trim and leaving with a chop from many many different stylist. I love my length asked for no more than 2 inches off all around and that's exactly what I got. Amanda used an amazing mask during my treatment and I loved it so much I couldn't leave without it! read more

This review is for Diana on the salon end of the store. I've been going to Diana for years and she always does an amazing job. If you're looking for a stylist with great customer service, skills, and talent (I can't recommend her enough). She's truly just the best and really cares about making you feel good and happy. And she is very trustworthy with the integrity of your hair. On the scheduling end it's fairly easy to book with Ulta because you can do it on their website. So, I really can't suggest giving Diana and the Ulta Salon a chance... enough! read more

This is specifically for the eyebrow waxing service at the salon. I went in for a wax and asked if they also do eyebrow trims because I felt some of my individual eyebrow hairs were getting too long. I guess the wax er misunderstood because the more I look at my brows, the more I notice she pretty much waxed off the tails and never trimmed the length of the hairs. I thought I was pretty clear and specifically mentioned a trim but I guess not, so communication could be much much better. Overall just bummed that I will have to buy product to fill in my tails while waiting for them to grow back and feel like I wasted money paying quite a bit for a service that I'm not happy with when simply taking a second to confirm and communicate with me would have led to a more positive outcome. I would not recommend the salon for eyebrow waxing. Lesson learned. read more

My bestfriend got her hair done by Diane and asked me to go for moral support. Diane was completely dismissive and rude towards my friend. My friend wanted a hair cut and showed a picture to the hair stylist and explained how she wanted everything one length Diane swore it was and the back of my friends hair was so uneven and instead of straightening flat down as requested my friends she kept curling it and then going over with a flat iron saying I did that I already passive aggressively. Needless to say we had to talk to management and luckily Sheria was able to fix my bestfriends hair for her. read more

Beyond thrilled with my results today!!! I originally went to another salon to get an updo for an wedding I was going to. It was HORRIBLE! I was so upset. I then went to Ulta to get my make up done. Destiny absolutely KILLED it! My make up was stunning! Destiny knew I was so upset about my hair so she went to the salon to see if anyone could help me. That's when JP (Jetal) came and saved the day!! I'll call her my fairy god mother of the day ..not only did she fix the mess the other salon made, she made it 10X better than I could of ever imagined, and in record time may I add!! I will from now on specifically request Destiny and JP for any event I have to attend and recommend them to everyone!!! read more

Literally just leaving , still in parking lot . I was treated absolutely TERRIBLE by manager Laura and cashier Mia ( I believe that's their names) . I know people say they never right bad reviews, but I really never do . When I came into store they were behind the counter looking me up and down . I couldn't find the item I was looking for . I went up to counter where they were just standing around , Laura , Mia and another associate. I asked for help ,,,,,,, they looked RIGHT at me , smirked and went back to hanging out together. Only when I stood up for myself and said " excuse me can one of you ladies help me " then the manager Laura said " I'm counting right now " very smugly and the other two girls laughed . So , I wasn't going to get any help . Then a young lady Destiny approached me and was Soooo wonderful and sweet ( why isn't she the manager !!) . Then I got to the counter and Mia checked me out CRAZY RUDE like she knows she can act that way !! I'm a 46 year old professional woman . I spend good money in this store . I work hard all week and my weekend visits to ULTA are usually a treat . I'll just order online from now on . Immature young ladies who think there cool and funny . What a shame read more

I got a great haircut from J. Patel. The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars it's because of the way she talked behind my back about how tired she was while doing my hair and also how long it was taking her to dry my hair. She kept making comments that her arms were hurting because my hair was taking too long to dry. It made it sound like I was the reason why she was feeling tired and it was very uncomfortable. She also kept saying it out loud next to other clients and while talking to another staff member. I heard her saying how long my hair is taking, how tired she is and that she needs a massage. Honestly, It sounded like she doesn't like her job at all. Although I didn't say anything at that time, I believe it was very unprofessional to make those types of comments in front of a client. Other than that, she did a good job cutting my hair, I just wished she didn't make those types of comments. read more

I was looking around for awhile, and the staff seemed friendly and approachable but NOT overbearing (like they were just out for your money). When I did need help choosing a concealer shade, I approached Destiny who was so sweet and helpful. She made sure that I was satisfied with the shade, and offered other shades to test. And then I went to check out, and Paula (Pauline maybe? Purple hair?) was so sweet and genuine, great job ladies. I know it can be hard working in retail but you folks are killing it :) read more
