I normally really like Ulta, it's definitely my favorite place to shop for beauty and skincare items but today I was picking up a curbside order for foundation and I had been sitting in my car in the 100 degree heat with all my windows rolled down for nearly a full 30 minutes before an employee came out with my order. I'm sure they are busy but it's July not Christmas time.. they can't possibly be so slammed that an employee can't quickly run a bottle of foundation out to me at one of their designated curbside parking spots in a reasonable amount of time... this isn't the first time this has happened to me at this location either. It happened a few weeks ago as well and that time i left without getting my products and got that order cancelled so they didn't get my $50 that day. This is unacceptable Ulta! While I could go in there myself to get the item, I picked the curbside option for a reason... i'm not lazy but I just got off work, I'm tired and just want to freakin' go home at this point. I'm likely not coming back for a while and will probably just have my products delivered to my home instead with the way they've been slacking lately here. read more

All right, a little backstory on this one. I i'm just out driving DoorDash today. Normally when we pick up from the store, everything is already bagged and ready to go. Today, it was not, I had to actually shop for the items. First off, walking in, I thought I was in deep trouble. This is so far outside of my comfort zone not even funny. It's like the inside of my wife's purse, except an entire store. Places normal husbands do not go. When I walked in, and incredibly awesome employee named Elisabeth greeted me. I told her I needed help and show her my list of items so fire. She was amazing. Found it quickly, it was out on the shelf. She wouldn't found it in the back. I don't know if their products are any good or not, but I do know that their customer service was great, excellent even. Super kudos to them for this. this location has some ext rude "makeup artists" lol I use the term loosely. today I was in the Anastasia Beverly Hills isle and i had walked passed the product I was looking for (directly behind this vanity) I had turned around and went to bend down and get the dip brow when this "makeup artist" says "next time walk around" in the snobbiest tone I have ever heard out of a woman. my first question is, if the product I need it directly behind you, why not allow me to grab the product quickly and be on my way? also, why would I need to walk all the way around to get to something that is quite literally behind you? had I walked around to the other side would you have told me the same thing again? maybe learn some manners and customer service skills read more

I had the worst experience the other day at Ulta. Went in to get an eyebrow wax, with Rachel. OMG she butchered my brows really bad! She had no clue what she was doing! Do not go there , with her there! You will be sorry! read more

Even though there is an Ulta Beauty Store closer to my home, I choose to go to their Nampa location. I do that because of their employees. First, Maria O. in the Salon. Maria epitomizes what an Ulta Master Stylist has to offer. Expertise, an exceptional sunny disposition and she loves what she does! Maria takes the time to listen to your hair concerns (in my case color). She offers options and is never pushy. She is just a delight to know. When I leave the salon my hair always looks great and I feel good. I highly recommend her. After one of my many salon visits I went over to check out some Estee Lauder makeup. I had the good fortune to find two employees in the Prestige makeup area, Robyn and Rachel. As soon as I approached them, they stopped what they were doing and made themselves available to me. They helped me find the exact shade and foundation type, applied samples on my skin and sent me off with a small sample, which made my day! I came back a a couple of weeks later and purchased the full size foundation. Robyn and Rachel were professional, friendly and very helpful! It is employees like Maria, Robyn & Rachel that keep me coming back to the Nampa location! read more

Just picked up a curb side order for my daughter. I was told to pop the trunk and they would "pop" my order into the car. I guess "pop" means throw because the lady threw my order into the trunk. Customer service was horrible. For expensive as this makeup is you'd think they would hire people with some type of personality. I don't plan on ever returning to this store again. read more

Extremely disappointed in Ulta today. Went in to grab things for myself. Waited until lull in line due to holiday shopping. Girl at checkout was being asked to work an extra hour due to rush. She continued to roll her eyes and huff and puff while ringing up my products. Quite a few things I got had freebies attached. I had to ask if they had those freebies left. She kept huffing around and throwing items around looking for stuff. I told her to not worry if it was that big of a deal for her to look but that they should take down the sign if they're out. They have crappy customer service! I waited in a line 15 minutes while she talk to another gal about what to do about dry skin. Never once acknowledged me. Several other employees around. Pretty awesome selection at this Ulta! They carried lots of items and colors I haven't been able to find in stock in Salt Lake or LA. A couple of highlights: NYX Soft Matte Creme selection, the new line of Too Faced Lip Paints, and Sally Hansen items! I love Ulta and their variety, but who knew little Nampa Ulta would be so great? read more

Beth the cashier was so rude... She also "really needed my phone number" for a purchase under 6.00. I wasn't having it. I said no multiple times. But still insisted.. she didn't get it... Especially after all the other employees here were rude to me. I was looking for 2 specific items. Only found 1 on my own. Never found the other... Poor customer service. The workers never ask if you need help, and will roll their eyes if you interrupt their conversations with one another to ask for assistance. I love shopping here but the management really needs to step it up and teach their employees how to treat their shoppers. Boise ulta seems to have better service! read more

I went in look for a few specific products, I asked if I could get a trained Ulta girl to help guide me through the process. Andrea was available at the time, I asked her to help me find a couple Clinique products as I wanted to be sure to get the right ones. I asked her about a certain ingredient that helps stimulate collagen, & she flat out said & I quote, I really don't know. Okay, that's fine, but you work in a high end make~up store, I feel that she should have some basic training on the products you wish to sell to your customers. So I just googled it, it was time I was hoping not to spend in there, as my husband was waiting in the car. Anyway, the personal shopper part was a disappointment to say the least. Don't get me wrong, she was nice & polite, knew where to find things, just didn't know much about the basics of make~up & told me she had been there for 4 years, ouch! Veronica helped me at the checkout, the Patchology that I bought was 30% off but it didn't populate on my receipt, so I had to come back in to fix it. Today was their very first day open -- Dad and I happened upon the six orange balloons in front of the store while we were on our way to another store in the shopping complex. Haven't seen any local advertising or anything... hope they get on that before the big grand opening that's coming up. The store is huge -- nearly the size of a grocery store -- and it's all full of makeup, nail polish, lotion, hair and beauty supplies. Lots of fun for girly-girls and also a small section for men's items too. Each of the sales associates we encountered were warm and eager to help us. The store was nicely organized and well-lit. The had premium brands like Bare Escentuals, Smashbox, OPI, and Philosophy; along with drugstore brands and their own ULTA brand. I purchased an ULTA brand buttercream cupcake shower gel and look forward to trying that soon. The check-out process was fast & efficient, even when taking the time to sign up for their customer club. read more

I went in to Ulta to do an even exchange with a bottle of redkin shampoo. I had a lightweight redkin shampoo and wanted to exchange for a color care redkin shampoo . I didn't have my receipt but didn't think it would be that much of a problem because I was exchanging and not returning. They were unable to locate my purchase through my rewards card so offered me one cent credit towards my exchange. Unbelievable!!!!!! They won't sell me the bottle for a penny. Needless to say I didn't exchange it and will NEVER shop there again. So Ulta you just lost a customer. read more

Poor service asked for help three times ,tall guy with a man bun heading our way a couple of times but stop a couple of times to talk to other customers. So we had 300 dollars worth of items that we we carrying around. So after 15 mins of this we set down the items and walked out and he was still talking to the other customers. I do not recommend this salon, I had my roots done and they turned out orange and purple. The manager said they would correct it, also the appointment was split into 2 dates.... I drive a distance to get there. I was told the correction would be free, it took 2 appointments to get me corrected! The second appointment I was charged for the service?????? Not even told before hand or during my appointment!!!!! What a joke !!! Stay away unless you enjoy throwing time and money away! Poor communication and lousy service. Total cost 260.00 ! This place is Awesome!! They have just about everything, and the employees are all so helpful and NICE! You don't find that often. I used to love this store up until just a few months ago. The gals were normally very nice and could always show me just what I needed but lately there's so many new people that are quite rude. There's a woman with light hair that gets very upset when you ask about incorrect pricing as if every person with a question is a thief. She's told me she's a manager but still is so disrespectful to customers. It seems she's always the one at the cash register every single time I go. It's making me want to take my business elsewhere, but I do enjoy the ladies at the salon. I would appreciate if this store would consider the way they treat their guests, and not assume that every individual is there to commit a crime. Perhaps a new manager is needed. read more
