The vibe in this store has changed. It used to be fun shopping, but no longer. The end caps are uninteresting and the prices are crazy high. Latest visit, a few days ago, had a line of customers with one register open. There were 4 employees all trying to troubleshoot an issue at one register. When one of them finally looked up, she attempted to sign onto a second register, unsuccessfully. One of the first group went over and they ultimately discovered the caps lock was on, which was preventing the sign on. When we finally got to the register and were ready to check out, the cashier was asking for phone number and name. We were not interested in joining the club but the cashier explained if anything needed to be returned, this info was needed. Fine, the phone and first name was provided, then she proceeded to ask for last name and address. I spoke up and asked why this info was also needed? She said "well, it will be needed if you have to return something". We respectfully declined, turns out none if it is actually needed to make a purchase. Do they really have so many returned items it makes sense to get all that info at the time of purchase? or maybe, just maybe, this was also needed for future marketing? Also, the line was getting longer and little ones in line getting restless. This cashier clearly had trouble reading a room as no one wanted to wait as she attempted to secure additional personal information from each customer not already part of their program. I had the absolute best experience shopping at this location! I went in on Black Friday and the store was extremely busy. I immediately grabbed a back loomed around and had no idea where to start. Lexi greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any help and I immediately said "yes, I have no idea where to start I have 4 daughters" Lexi asked me for their ages and right away she knew exactly what products to recommend. I think we spent about an hour together making sure we covered everything I needed. I even ended up getting products for my husband, son and mother in law. Lexi knew exactly where to find everything and I ended up getting a lot of stuff for myself as well! I couldn't be happier and will definitely be returning :) read more

I have never ventured into the wild before, but I shall approach with caution. As I ventured through, all I saw were signs and miscellaneous concoctions for various purposes. Then, I spotted a native and asked her "when I looked in the mirror, I looked dead, how can I rectify this?". She laughed and after giving me store brand recommended products, directed me to an elder. She recommended Murad, which is a lotion created by a dermatologist. I love the citrus fragrance it gives off and after trying it for a week, my face does feel softer. I'm still waiting for the glow, but if anything, I'll come back to try the other products. I love Ulta, but not so much this one. I usually just go there to get what I need and get out. Instead of shopping around and maybe asking for assistance, I prefer not to due to the gossipy employees and snobby manager. Very often, even if it looks like I need help and look in an employees direction, they don't say a word to me. Not the case at Sephora or many other retail stores where I have felt a lot more welcomed in. For example, I thought I left an already purchased product in the store so I went back in and happened to ask the manager. She began looking for the product, but then I realized it was in my purse all along. I apologized for the confusion, and she gave me this snobby bitch attitude look like, "girl are you dumb?" THE WORST ULTA I've been to! Line was all the way to the back of the store and they had 2 cashiers. This is a routine thing here unless you walk in the door right when they open. I get business is tight but your staff are immature, rude and lazy. 9/10 they're gabbing with each other vs actually doing their jobs--I guess this is how we do Busniess now? And the manager or whomever is in charge is blissfully unaware or doesn't care to notice. The makeup counter is useless. The Customer Service at the desk is Horrendous! The representative from It Cosmetics asked the cashier kindly if they could pull up my last receipt and print it out. She said yes. Then when the representative walked back to her counter the cashier ignored me & wouldn't even look at me. Three customers were rung up before I went back in line. I went to Ulta Nashua for the first time ever, trying to find a makeup to cover my vitiligo. Someone was standing at the entrance telling customers about their specials and was immediately available to answer my question. She called a sales associate over to help me. I may get the name wrong, but she'll know who she is if she sees this - Aleya. Aleya helped me cover a white patch on my arm. She was the sweetest thing, understood what I wanted immediately and worked her butt off until we had success - and it took a long time because so many colors that looked good in tubes were the wrong tint/tone on my skin. I felt Aleya's total commitment to getting me exactly what I wanted. Two other associates joined in helping her and were very nice as well. The only thing I disliked is when the woman at the front called Aleya over, she was clearly annoyed at her for not jumping high enough or not running fast enough, even though I saw no issue. You shouldn't show disgust at your employees, it made me uncomfortable. The 4 stars is because of the greeter's attitude. Aleya is worth 10 stars! read more

The help here is excellent. I dashed in, hoping to find some of the eos eggs, and was happy to find two that my daughter did not have right beside the registers. Then, when. I told the associate there that I was looking for one of each color, and she popped out from behind the rigid yet and helped me find three more! Best Ulta around. Heather, the esthetician, is LITERALLY a Dermalogica EXPERT. I get regular facials by her, and she always knows what to do and what products to recommend. She really knows her stuff and educates you along with every service. All the other staff, along with hair stylists, are super friendly! The turnover rate for this Ulta's staff is high. Some weeks, there are nice and helpful employees, but then they leave and then we're stuck with terrible employees. Rinse, repeat. Went to make an exchange (with receipt) and someone name Luci something (short women with thick glasses and black hair in a bun) proceeded to act like I personally offended her. Seemed even more upset when I replied to her question of using the product. Obviously, I did and I didn't like it, that's why I'm exchanging it. The products I was exchanging it was for were eligible for the $3.50 off $15 coupon, but Luci started to lecture me that these were prestige brands and weren't eligible for it. When in the world did Soap and Glory become prestige? LOL Already annoyed, I just zoned out and got my exchange. Went to the car and checked the site and Soap and Glory weren't on the excluded brands from coupons list. They need to put better trained, informed, and friendly employees at the cash wrap. I don't want to spend money at a place where the staff is spewing fake news to me. The cashier next to Luci was also having a quarrel with a customer about coupons too. They don't know about the Ulta deals or coupons at the top of their heads. So they should learn it and apply it when applicable. Nor do I want to be 21 questions about returns/exchanges especially when I have the receipt and it's within their return policy. And they have every right to check and inspect the return/exchange, that I could care less about. But don't go making a fuss about something I swatched once or tried. Not that it is a requirement but it shows friendly staff, which a a major thing Ulta lacks. Everyone in there looks like they hate their jobs and their lives. At Sephora the people are always knowledgeable and there to help. They will give you samples, work with you for hours and make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. They must have new employees here because no one helped me nor did they seem interested to help based on other reviews. To me they seemed pretentious and were all amongst themselves. I was looking for a good foundation so I was swatching a bunch of different colors and brands. It wasn't busy and they clearly saw me trying out different foundations. I asked one employee which would be best for dry skin, she said I should get a really good moisturizer instead because if you have dry skin, most foundations wont work well. She didn't even direct me to where the moisturizers were, as if I was bothersome! Ugh please!!! I was looking for foundation that would be BEST, not a frikkin moisturizer! It's really a shame, as I have been a fairly regular online and in store customer for years. If I could give it a negative rating, I would. And not just this store, but the online ordering process, curb side pick up process and corporate customer service. I placed an Online order for same day curb side pick up and it was confirmed with a 1-2 hour pick up time. Order was almost $100 and paid for with a gift card. Got to the store only to find out they've changed the hours and now close early- tho no mention of that on my pick up confirmation. Drive home, almost an hour, with no order. Due to the distance, I had planned on picking up the next time I would be in the area, tomorrow. However, receive a text today stating that my order needs to be picked up today. Contact customer service to let them know I'd be in to pick up tomorrow, but was told they couldn't extend my pick up by 1 day and my order would be cancelled. So I mention If I had known this I would've just had it shipped. I ask to switch my same order to home delivery as the charges have already been deducted from my gift card. That is not an option, my order has been cancelled and I will need to place a brand new order for delivery. Best part? Can't use my gift card until they credit my purchase amount back which typically takes 48 hours. Are you kidding me? Once I use the gift card I have, I will not be back. I really hate this place. It's like Sephora's ugly sister only worse. I swear it's a requirement or a corporate policy for the people to act completely disinterested in their jobs. I hung around the upscale makeup side for a bit with some questions about a primer and wondering if they had samples. After over 20 minutes of circling around the same area, I grabbed the one and only girl I could see working there and asked for help. She knew pretty much nothing about the primer and had no recommendations. I asked if I could get a sample and she scoffed, "This isn't Sephora. We don't give free samples." I gave this store a second chance and it will be the last one. I walked into the door again and same thing. There were two girls talking and noticed me and the first one i could tell looked at me and looked away and then proceeded to talk to her friend and then as I looked over finally one of them asked me if i needed something...not any more. If you have never been to ulta of have specific questions that you need answered I would not recommend this store . Save yourself the drive and just order online.I was in this store for at least an hour and saw 4 employees . My presence was never acknowledged and I was never offered any assistance . There were other guest in the store also who were never offered assistance the customers roamed the store and the clerks stayed upfront near the registers chatting. I have been coming to Ulta for years so thankfully I am familiar with the store layout and before coming in the store I knew what products I wanted to buy . Even though I knew what I wanted to buy I still had some questions that I would've loved to ask but I made the decision I would just use google my questions when I got home . A perk of shopping here is when you buy over a certain amount there are typically free gifts with purchase . I had to ask the clerk if there was a gift with my products and she said "oh yes let me check to see what we have left " they did not have anything left from the brand that I bought so she just gave me something else . Normally when I have been and they run out of the free gift I have been given the choice of what I want as a replacement . I've never heard of the product she gave me and there aren't even many reviews on ulta website for me to read . If I am ever in the area and need something I'll check the store out but I will not make the drive like I did yesterday specifically for ulta since there's no difference from visiting this specific site and not being assisted by store clerks and ordering online . read more

I HATE shopping at this store. It always seems to be understaffed and even when it is staffed they are standing around talking to one another. If you ask anyone for help, you're given an attitude and they have NO PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE whatsoever! I love the Brow bar, but its very $$ and the one girl they have working in this store who's waxed my brows is so self absorbed, all she does it talk about herself the entire time she's waxing your brows. I just want to get in and out... I don't need to hear a life story. I spend hundreds of $$ every time I go in here, and on checking out - I can NEVER get samples... never! Sad that my local ULTA sucks. Things are NEVER I'm stock. I saw a display of a certain product almost completely out, with one of the products totally broken. Then, I came in over a month later... display was the same with the same crappy, broken makeup! And this is the same for most other products - displays disorganized/many products out of stock. Employees: A few employees here are amazing. The rest are some of the saddest I've ever experienced. No knowledge of makeup. Ignore/and are clearly bored by customers. I like ulta but I wasn't too impressed with this particular store. It was clean and organized inside but I was never offered help. What was most disappointing about this store was the lack of testers. I was mostly interested in ulta brand stuff and did not see even one tester. For example, I wanted to try on eye crayons but I had to take my chances with a color and that color ended up being terrible. Now I have to go out of my way to return it. Honestly I would choose sephora anytime over ulta. Sephora brand products are higher in quality than ulta brand. What makes ulta different is they sell drug store brands and have hair products and a hair salon. Not happy with the bait and switch tactics of this store. In the recent flyer, there's a card for a free pink and white Kate Spade beach bag with a $98 Kate Spade fragrance purchase. My daughter-in-law and I were given totally different (and cheaper) bags with the excuse that they were out of the bags in the special. This was on Mother's Day and it was the first day of the sale. Seriously, how can you be out of bags that fast? This isn't the first time this store has angered me. The shelves are never fully stocked, too many empty spaces and the make-up displays are mostly broken or missing entirely. This is the store on Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua, NH. I sincerely hope this store goes under and something else takes the spot. One more thing, the employees seem to be clueless about what their job entails.
