Terrible customer service. Everyone around me that was of European descent was asked did they need help while I, an African American was not asked if I needed help. When I finally sought out a rep for help I was treated very harshly. I had a question regarding if a product had protein in it. The first rep I asked said go towards the back of the store and ask someone because she only works the dermatology(I may have got the name wrong) section. So I find someone in back and she had to ask someone else. That person tells me oh read the ingredients. I would think they should be able to help with product recommendations etc. Especially since right next to me a rep was helping someone that was trying to decide between pattern beauty and olapex. This isn't my first time encountering poor customer service from this location. I may be black and dressed down but my money spends the same. I WILL NOT return to this location. I only come here because it's close by the hospital I work at but the poor service is not worth it. read more

I went to this Ulta location for the salon portion. The girl that took care of me was very young and didn't really know how to work with my hair type. I have long, curly hair. All I went in for was for a trim, wash and flat iron very basic things (at least I think so) she started to brush out my hair to then cut it WHILE IT WAS DRY!. I then had to tell her that she needs to wash it first because with curly hair it gets tangled up easily and my hair at that time was a little tangled. So she washes it she untangles it and then she blowdried it everything went smooth until she goes to flat iron I don't know about you guys but for a person who has curly hair when they go to flat iron it should be pretty sleek. My hair went back to frizzy after she flat ironed it how is that even make sense I don't know! ended up leaving it like that and went home to fix it read more

I love this store. I cannot go here because I will blow my whole paycheck. But, the few experiences I have had there ROCK. I got some nice deals and steals. The real gem is this girl who works there - her name is Maribeth. She does the BEST make up job ever. She really is talented. She did the make up for my wedding. I gave her all the info, we did a trial (I loved it), and she came to my house at 6:30 am to do the whole bridal party's make up. She did a great job everyone looked fantastic. She has done my make up for me for my bachelorette party and a couple other times as well. I highly recommend you have her do your make up for your next special event. Also, check this place out when they get the outside make up companies to do events. Some of my personal favorites are Urban Decay and Benefit. This is my least favorite ULTA. Always lines, never enough help, never any samples and today they were out of the daily sale item by noon. And the girl I found to help me seemed drunk! this is an update to an earlier review... the parking lot still sucks but another store remodel or adjustment has moved the perfume area.. so the sun is not shining on perfumes (yay). I do love this store even though they do sell out of things quickly because it is a high traffic store. I do try to be quick on new collections to make sure I get everything I want. It seems this place used to be better ages ago. In recent years, I've only run in, grabbed the item I went for, and ran back out. This was the first time in years that I actually shopped around this store. The nail polish selection was both poor and scattered. I'm not sure about all of the staff members, but at least one seemed to be giving bad advice. Instead of helping a lady find a topcoat, she suggested that she could use the nail strengthener. The topcoat was *right* there. She didn't bother to look. She was polite and friendly, but didn't seem to know what she was talking about. While the sale items were great, and I do like the Ulta brand nail polishes I grabbed (a pleasant surprise), I was pretty disappointed that they seemed to have such a skimpy nail polish selection. read more

My go to Ulta I find myself here almost once a week lol my addiction is serious but I always find something great!! At times things can be a little sparse and they run out of things quickly. Which is why I take a half star off. The employees are friendly and I've always had a wonder experience when I ask for help. I just started going to this store a few weeks ago. I went in one day, not really knowing what to look for, but I needed a light foundation and bronzer. I had a few shows coming up, and I wanted to glam my look up. The cosmetics manager there was really helpful! She was super friendly, and had me sit down and did a makeover on me, right then and there! I have never experienced this kind of service at a retail makeup store before, so I was a little flabergasted to say the least! She did everything, tested some green primer, found the perfect matching foundation, and a shimmering bronzer!! Then she started showing me techniques I could do to enhance my eyes and brows, because I had mentioned how I wanted to make them stand out, (I have blue eyes). Not once did she act like she was too busy, or in a hurry to make the sale, or take care of another customer, like so many different stores I go to tend to do!! Needless to say, I purchased the sets she tried out on me, and even went back a few days later with my sister to look at nailpolishes, (they have OPI, and some of the colors are on sale!!) and some instant self tanning creams! It's a very clean store, they have a salon located at the back of the store, (I have yet to try their services, but I plan to), and even professional makeup artists that come in and give free makeovers to customers, (you just need to make an appointment). The prices were not expensive either! Sally's Beauty supply is more pricier than this place!! I will continue to shop here as long as they deliver the exceptional service they have now spoiled me with! :) I highly recommend this place to anyone who has any questions about makeup application, or girls looking for cosmetics at good prices!! read more

I went in on a Saturday to get my makeup done for a wedding. I had an appointment and Amanda the makeup girl was late starting me. She took 45 minutes to finish. The result was horrible. Her makeup technique is very sloppy. The eyeliner she applied was crooked. The foundaction was not blended in. I had to go home and redo the whole thing. This store is so huge and spread out, I wish they would group things together, because I was searching everywhere. This location has really bad customer service. No one cares at this location. They always have a short answer for you if you finally go ask for help. They will not help you there. So if you have any questions about products or anything this is definitely NOT the place to go. You will get no help here! Go to sephora or Macy's. This is the only Ulta store that I have been to where I have had issues in regards to sale prices and honoring a coupon offer. First time I had seen a product which I buy often on sale online for buy one get one 1/2 off. I went to the store, they didn't have the sign up but I showed the cashier from my phone that it was stated on sale and it wasn't an online only promotion either. She still refused to honor it. Then second instance was just recent went in so I could use the coupon where you spend $15 and get 3.50 off. Got three items, one of the items came up on sale at register, no sign on the shelf that it was, so I thought ok cool. Was then told cannot use the coupon, even though my subtotal was still over $16 because an item came up on sale. I know I've used the coupon on sale items before and told her this, she then tells me those are promotions, not sales. What is the freaking difference?? And how as a customer am I suppose to know this?? Ugh! It's like they really don't want people to one use the coupon or continue to shop there, such horrible customer service and I don't really care attitude. I always love how nice everyone is when i walk in the door. The customer service is great. But they never have what i need and are always out of stock. On top of that i remind the cashier for the free sample that comes with x brand when u spend 40 or more and they always forget them. One time i called about the free sample i was supposed to get and they told me to stop by the next day to any ulta. I went to 3 ultas including this one and they were suddenly all out. The only this that gets aggrivating is that qhen im in the high end area there are like 20 girls that stand there and socialize and then 3 of them ask me if i need help one after the other so im unable to even browse. I do appriciate one lady though when i asked her for her help to find a cool toned contour/bronzer because i am so pale and everyrhinf oxidizes orange on my skin. This has to be one of the worst Ulta Beauty stores I visited. The customer service is completely awful. I am young I get it. Not many people my age may spend that much money on makeup. I loved make up all my life and have value high quality makeup products such as Urban Decay and Bare Minerals. I walk into the store and the workers don't even greet me. But they greet the slightly older women behind me. I spend about 20 minutes in the store and no one asks me how I am doing. I finally make my way to the cash register and about 5 employees are minding their own business not checking out the long line of people waiting to pay. The cashier barely said hello and took her sweet time to check out my three items. I would not recommend this place to anyone under the age of 25 no matter how much money you are set to spend. Let's not get this review mixed up. I am giving this store 2 stars because of the HORRID customer service they acquire. I love the company Ulta itself and I have gone to plenty of other Ulta stores and been very well satisfied. I just do not understand why THIS one lack such customer service. I've worked in the customer service business for about 4 years in the past. Our main goal is to acknowledge the customers, assist them, and more importantly to learn the company's products. If you ask most of the associates here a question, they often lack knowledge of their products. The girls here lack customer service, friendliness, and professionalism which eventually reflects on the company. If you want good service for Ulta, turn around and go somewhere else. read more

About once a year, Ulta does a "20% off your entire purchase" coupon promotion. That is when I take advantage of buying some of my basics so I can save money. They had everything I was looking for and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Salesgirl Mary Beth was particularly helpful. She was on her way to the back and I needed to find some products and caught her. You think she would be in a hurry because I obviously interrupted what she was planning to do. However, she was super nice and probably spent 10 minutes with me, giving me advice and helping me find various products. What a sweetheart! I haven't had good customer service like that in a while, especially with someone who can rival my beauty knowledge -she really knew her products! The line moved fast and cashier Susan B. was very sweet too. It was a really positive experience -and it was Christmas Eve! So despite the busy day, everyone was in very good spirits. I was very impressed and will be sure to head back to this Ulta. It's on the way home from work so I'm happy to have had a good experience -I'll be back! read more
