Was looking forward to a cut and style but unfortunately I got the most boring trim with none of the shape or direction I asked for. It also took over an hour for a shampoo and to cut less then 1/4 inch off my hair ( I asked for 1-2 inches off). I went home and had to shape it myself and fix my uneven fringe. Usually order my marc jacobs perfume in store and confirm with cashier that the address to ship my perfume is changed, I usually go to the Ulta store in ontario for this but I now live in riverside, The cashier was very sweet and kind and very honest, you can tell other workers there do not like her because they would not help her when she would ask for assistance. The tension and drama in the store reminded me of girls in elementary playing favorite, ridiculous and all I wanted was to confirm my purchase either by email confirmation or some sort of receipt, the cashier asked the manager and she seemed overwhelmed and annoyed because there was a long line behind me. The manager was dismissive and told me to call customer service if I don't receive email in 1 hour. Its been 24hrs and still nothing... so I called customer service and come to find out my email address was incorrect. After all this they really need to treat thier employees kindly and train their staff accordingly other wise theyre gonna start loosing a lot more customers. This all happened yesterday afternoon around 6:30-7:30ish @ riverside plaza location. I will not be a costumer at this location I rather drive from riverside to ontario Ulta location then deal with being a witness to the employee mistreatment and lack of accurate answers. read more

Went in today trying to return two items. I had my online receipt and knew they were past the 30 days so store credit was okay with me. The Prestige Beauty Advisor at the checkout told me she couldn't process my return because it was past the days accepted. I asked her that i was okay with store credit if i could do that and she told me no. So i left and drove to the Eastvale location where all they had to do was get authorization from a manager and I received my refund. I would appreciate it if the employees were educated about the return policy and I wouldn't have to go out of my way to drive to a different location just for a return. read more

I went in to get my hair done on June 11 at 2pm with Josie. I had the best experience! I have never left a salon feeling good. I've always left saying I loved it but then hated it in the car. It's been a few days and I am still so in love with my hair. Josie did such an amazing job! Having curly and thick hair- Im always afraid of people touching it and messing it up. One star for the star being clean because it's the only positive. Hannah should not be managing the store as she shows no urgency to help customers. I stood in line as Hannah came to the front helped the cashier and then continued to empty a basket of product after she looked at a line full of 4 people. Customers should not be an afterthought. I love this place. They go over and beyond for their customers. I started shopping here a year ago and Madison approached me and has still remembered me to this day. Great customer service skills. My stylists, Stevie and Josie are the best!!! They are number one to me and a great asset to the company. Stevie started taking care of my eyebrows because my regular brow girl was not there.She stepped up and did an amazing job and now I go to her for my brows. Not sure if I'm disappointed or embarrassed. I came in with a full grown brows just looking to get a simple easy clean up. I left with almost no brows. My biggest thing is my brows I take care of them sooo much. I left the store without saying anything. Hoping she would call an acknowledging what a horrible job she had Made. How can she build a clientele when she allows them to walk away with such a terrible job.buts been 7hrs since, my eyebrows are so swollen an red. Not even with threading had I experienced so much pain an irritation. But me Thinking we all make mistakes, I should let it slide. I had booked a silk press appointment with Olivia at 12:45pm I have 4c textured hair in the beginning she was very gentle and I could tell she didn't know what she was doing in all honesty I sat in the chair for 2hrs and her flat ironing only the back of my hair my hair-over so many times and left rusted hair clips in my hair. She of stop and told me she didn't know how to do it instead going to the back and having someone come and out to tell me I have lice and when I needed have dandruff and not head lice. I am very disappointed and she should definitely get retrained on to do other texture hair. This will be the last time I come into get my hair done at Ulta. read more

I'm absolutely in love with my eyebrows. Demi did such an amazing job on both mine and my husbands brows. I will definitely be returning. I personally have very sensitive skin which causes me to swell and turn red, within minutes both were gone. The whole store is staffed with amazing attentive individuals I didn't have to go far if I had a question someone was right there ready and willing to help. read more

I walked into the store while I was talking on my cell phone. I went to straight to the area where I needed to go. While I was looking at products and talking on my phone, I noticed an employee walk past me and eye me. She placed something away that was a few feet away from me. I went to the register, but realized I forgot to get another product. So I walked away from the line and went to go look for the product. I noticed the same employee walk in the same direction as me and she ask another employee if she had taken her break. As I was standing there trying to find the brand product, the same employee that eyed me at the beginning asked me "you good?" I was thrown off guard by her unprofessional question and demeanor that it took me a minute to respond. I responded "Um, Anastasia?" and she advised where it was as if it bothered her to answer it. As I walked away, I hear silence behind me. I left the store really unhappy and bothered about my experience. I also felt a little stereotyped and targeted because I had tactical pants on (work pants) and a crewneck sweater. I came to the store right after work (government job) and I can assure you that if she thought I was a thief, she is completely wrong. Either way, in the customer service industry, keep it professional always. To approach a customer with a "you good" question regardless of how they may dress or appear is not okay. The female employee was maybe Hispanic? fair skin, about 5'7, dark hark and probably upper management which is even more disappointing. read more

I had no idea Ulta put a store in the Plaza. This was exciting news to me because I live very close, and I dreaded going to the one off Tyler. I had a ton of rewards and a coupon to use so I was a little worried I'd be a "problem customer" since past experiences from other locations made me feel that way. From the moment I walked into this store- wow. I was welcomed by a few different staff, the store was clean, and the line was short. Immediately I was asked if I needed help. Throughout my entire time there- like an hour, I was helped multiple times by multiple staff. I got recommendations, and even had a nice conversation with one of the staff members. I interacted with 4 or 5 of the team members - all super helpful and nice. I am so thankful that this store is here. I have NEVER had a better experience at an Ulta- and I have been shopping at Ultas for a VERY long time. My only regret is not getting the employee names so I could give a shout out to them here! Went here for a haircut and I started off with a girl named Sky. Everything started off good, she said she had cut curly hair often and I just wanted layers and face framing pieces so I thought we would be okay. I wanted a blowout at the end of my haircut and that's we're things went wrong. When I got off the chair my roots were still curly and my hair was puffy like Hermione She told me that if I wanted to fix it it would cost 30 extra dollars on top of the extra 42$ she had charged to blow dry my hair already. I decided to take the hit because I literally could not walk out of the salon looking like that. When I sat back down, luckily without saying anything the manager and the new hairstylist Jennifer had seen my hair and adjusted my ticket. And turns out Sky was trying to rip me off. The blow dry is INCLUDED in with the signature haircut, that I purchased. She charged me 42$ extra on top of my haircut for a blow dry that was not even finished. I was so confused why she did me like that so curly girls beware lol. I would go back to Jennifer though. She did a pretty good job and I was happy with the results walking out of the salon. On another note these girls need to stop saying the 20% discount bit. I checked out twice cause I went back in to grab something else and they almost force it on you. I didn't know it did a credit inquiry because of how chill they make it seem and they don't say it's for a credit card either. I didn't get the 20% and my credit went down smh!!! read more
