Ulta had a special, BOGO of mini's. I purchased multiple items and they offered me 3 free gifts due to my purchase and high Diamond status. After hitting submit on my payment it showed one item missing in my bag, So I chatted with customer service,. Only option was to cancel my order to fix it. I asked if I could still use my coupon, and if the free gifts would still be available. I was told "of course". 2 hours later still tying to fix this all 3 of my gifts are now not available and still no resolution. They offered me a $10 gift card. Not acceptable. Today I had my hair Colored and Style. Emily did a great job. I love the color and style.

Amanda did my hair. She changed my appointment twice then I had to wait an extra 30 mins. And tbh that's not even the real problem. She said my hair would be $300 that was fine a little on the high side with short and thin hair but I said okay. She got the color great but she never once told me to trim a half in would cost 79$ she told my friend and I she would do the trim.. I ended up paying 379$ and I asked her why she never said anything and she said she forgot. How do you "forget" I said this is not fair. I called and no one ever called me back. The manager or assistant manager at the counter completely embarrassed me and my friends. I was inquiring about an unfortunate situation, and she responded by yelling at me so loudly that everyone in the store could hear. She showed no willingness to assist me and dismissed my concerns. Additionally, I was already appalled by the cleanliness of the store. The displays were torn, and there were literal balls of hair and dust everywhere. Everything felt disorganized, and makeup was smeared all over the place. It appeared as if the store had never been swept or mopped; it was simply disgusting! On multiple occasions, I have picked up orders that contained used or broken makeup. Always check your order before leaving the store. The rude behavior of the manager was the final straw for me. I will use my points and then cease shopping at Ulta altogether. They have permanently lost my business. Love the generic response for Ulta... I did reach out to customer service. Unfortunately I was not able to get the color bc what I wanted to achieve would need to be done with highlights, she explained as to why and even did a strand test to see if she could achieve what I wanted but it didn't look too good, so I can def respect that and made an appt to come get it done next wkend so I'm definitely looking forward to that. Not to be rude but if you wanted beautiful hair do not go here. My hair stylist was the sweetest and was truly kind but she did not even get close to what i asked for at all. My natural is white blonde and i came into the salon with bright white blonde hair and asked to be lighter with a small root and when she was done i had black hair with purple all on it. truly the most devastating thing to happen especially on a terrible day. I love Ulta! They have everything here! I've come to this location for years. It's always been clean and well organized. I came in a few months ago and someone kindly recommended the best product for my hair that I've tried in years! It was a little pricier than I was looking to spend but it's been a game changer for me. So a huge thank you to the lady who recommended I try the Fekkai super strength shampoo and mask! It was the best purchase I've made for my hair in years! I definitely recommend this place. All the workers are very rude I was looking for someone to help me for 30 mins. I finally find what I need (without any help) and the cashier named ERANDY was extremely rude and dismissive or my concerns and questions. They lied to everyone saying they are out of receipt paper but when I pushed print, surprise the printer had paper. The whole store is disgusting and disorganized. This store needs better management or to be shut down. The line was at least 35 people deep and it took me 20 mins to even get to the awful cashier. The worst store ever. read more

I went in because I was ready to get rid of my old blonde colored bayalage and go darker for the fall. When I left, I was even sadder than when I came in. Initially, when I checked in at the salon counter, the person helping me asked me "what do you need?", I said I had an appointment for a color and she asked "what color do you want?" Hmm.. okay. Maybe the approach is different than what I'm used to. Then once I got seated with my stylist, we picked out a brown color to go over my blonde bayalage. I specifically said no reds because I don't like the upkeep with it. The color I wanted wasn't in stock, so they stylist concocted a mix of what would be the brown color I originally wanted and what we agreed would be a pretty color. The stylist was even nice enough to fit me in for a cut, which I love and appreciate so much but the color is a different story. When I got done, I walked out with red in my hair. I thought okay, maybe it's the lighting in the store or maybe it's just darker than what I'm used to. I came home and first thing my husband said was "oh, you decided to go with red after all?" Um... definitely not what I was going for but it is what it is now without having do redo my bayalage. I'm thankful that it's hair and it can be grown out and cut but needless to say, I don't think I'll be coming back again. read more

I really used to love coming to this Ulta, but some of the workers are kind of rude when I would catch somebody's eye and try and walk up to them and ask for help they would quickly turn around and go somewhere else or tell me that they're not on the clock right now and then seconds later I see them helping somebody else so I was always afraid to ask for help after that . I want to thank the ladies that work at this location for letting kindness shine through during the COVID-19 pandemic. The managers and staff accommodated my needs being immunocompromised by helping me book during their at risk customer hours. I was anxious to book an appointment, but they take every precaution to put your mind at ease. Work stations were set up to maintain social distancing and capacity standards. Sanitation stations were readily available as well. Sam and the managers were friendly, very helpful, and Sam did a wonderful job with my cut and color. It looks like a classroom when to go play in their shelfs and nothing was ever picked up. Salon Review- I decided to use Ulta as my salon because of the rewards perks. However, I have been to the Bandera and Huebner locations without finding a stylist that I loved when it came to color. I read the reviews and thought I would try Susan to correct color from a different Ulta. I am not a person who hugs, but Susan was fantastic in regards to listening and fixing my color. My hair is a style in color that I absolutely love. Susan was completely the person to go to and I am thrilled now to say that I have a stylist. The salon itself could do with some updates because the wear and tear is evident, but it is a store salon. She is a master stylist so the price is higher, but the quality and her professionalism is completely worth it. read more

Sooo.... Fuck ulta. Specifically the Alamo ranch location. I spent $24.55 dollars on a Black Friday order. I bought a makeup box($15) and a setting spray($7) and the $15 item got canceled. After I paid $24.55. I called them directly and they said it was out of stock. But it wasn't out of stock when I spent my money online to be picked up in store . It was Black Friday so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I go in today to pick up my order wondering if maybe I will get a refund or I could get a store credit or something. Not only was the staff really dismissive and rude,but the payment still cleared and I basically spent $24.55 on a 2oz bottle of milani setting spray. After researching for a stylist for my curly hair, I decided to follow a Reddit recommendation and booked an appointment with Bianca for a haircut al 6:30 on 11.15.23. I got to the salon at 6:10 and was eventually greeted by who turned out to be Bianca. She told me to go shopping and come back in 30 minutes. At the time she was applying color to a customer. I came back at 6:30 and Bianca was cutting someone else's hair while the other customer's color was processing. Close to 7 another stylist came out and invited me to sit at a station which I did. It was not until the customer with the haircut left, that Bianca finally addressed me and said something about a glitch with the booking. Asked me what service I needed and if someone had recommended her of had I JUST booked. She then went to the back and upon her return she told me she wouldn't be able to service me but another stylist would. I declined as I booked with Bianca after extensive research for my curly hair. She tried to reschedule me for the following days but the times did not work for me. A quick I am sorry and that was it! She had a whole hour to tell me she was over booked but never addressed the situation. Clearly she did not care and left me standing there waiting. Horrible customer service! I went in to purchase perfume because my regular location doesn't carry any. Waited for someone to come assist me & after about 10 minutes I asked someone to help me & she said ok give me a second & never came back. Another 10 minutes go by & a lady walked right passed me & asked another lady if she needed help she said no. So I was like can you help me & with an attitude as if I'm bothering her she was like what do you need. I could tell she didn't want to help me at all! Ulta, as a brand, is a great store. This Ulta, however, is a huge disappointment. I walked in this week when the store was not busy at all. Not a single person spoke to me the entire time I was shopping. At one point I could not even find what I was looking for and two workers walked right past me. One of them was so busy complaining about having to go pick up food that she never even noticed I was trying to ask a question. The shelves at this location were mostly empty, and the displays were dirty. I don't mind spending money on quality products, but I can actually get far better customer service by staying at home and ordering online. Once upon a time it was important for people to actually provide a service. No one cares at this store. P.S. I know one of the reviewers that left 5 stars. She jokes about being asked by an employee to write the positive review. GUYS. I had my hair messed up SO bad from another salon I had gone to yesterday. When I mean messed up, I mean it was gray/mossy green/orange all at the same time in different areas. I went into the Ulta Salon today in absolute tears because I have couples pictures next week. Bianca quickly got me in, was super sweet and fun to talk to, and spent upwards of 3 hours fixing my hair with crazy attention to detail, all while being extremely gentle with my already newly dyed and damaged hair. I have no idea what she did, but it was pure MAGIC. I mean, she literally got me back to a gorgeous blonde with no hint of orange, green, or any other weird color I had. She took what I thought was completely unfixable (I considered just dying my hair dark brown at this point and I've been blonde forever) and got me back to a beautiful golden blonde that is even better than I had it before I'd gotten it dyed the first time. I can't believe she did it, but she did. All while being professional and super easy-going. She reassured me through my tears and did more than I even thought was possible at that point! Do yourself a favor by going to this salon and asking for Bianca. Especially if you're a blonde because we all know it takes a special stylist to maintain strong, blonde hair and I would trust her with my entire blonde head of hair 1000x.
