First and last time using Ulta Salon services. I had appointment scheduled with Amy for a simple wash and blowout and I can't comprehend how can you mess up something simple like that but she managed to do just that. She was late for the appointment and not even apologized first of all and everything that followed was just worse and worse. Disappointed is just an understatement, this person managed to make me so flustered, which is not so easy by the way, I was shaking by the time I got to my car. I do NOT recommend this Ulta location. I was shifted from 1 younger person who was going to do a full makeup which I came in for, to another younger person who walked me to another older staff member. When I first walked in they--younger staff- were all sitting and talking doing NOTHING but talking and I had to go HUNT them down cause no one was out front in the salon area.. Evidently, I walked in right (1.5 -2 hours) before shift change. Remember, no matter what someone's age happens to be, we all have $$$$ to spend! HIGHLY disappointed at the lack of professionalism at Ulta. Will be going back to Dillards and Macys for Lancôme. Sometimes it is better to pay a little more for better service and professionalism. read more

Went to Tavia To get my brows done once for a Brown Tint and lift absolutely loved it. We agreed to do a clean up in between services so my brows didn't get out of hand. After I had left and the swelling had gone down I now have 90's brows. My full think eyebrows are now pencils and I cried over it as this is something that everyone has to look at. I have spent years growing them out and now have to start the process back over. Not very pleased with how this was handled she handed me brow products as a "Thank you for leaving a review" but I believe it's because she butchered my brows. I got a $25 credit for the salon, so I was excited and booked with Christopher Tesh at the 71st location. Little did I know that he was going to completely ruin my hair. I had been doing blonde (nearly platinum) balayage since January 2021. He sent me home with orange and purple hair and absolutely no blonde. Abigail Krivaneck did a "correction" and ended up having to cut off 3 inches of damaged hair. She showed me before pics she took, there was a 2 inch wide chunk of orange hair with multiple brown spots where he just didn't apply color. As Christopher was finishing, I said "Um, is it going to stay that shade of orange?" and he said "I was just wondering the same thing" and took me back to the bowl and applied some purple stuff (resulting in purple chunks that took 2 washed to remove). As he was blow drying the second time, we came up with a day to come in to correct. I was in such shock I scheduled, paid and left. I even tipped him still because that's how nice of a person I am. I went home and cried for 2 hours. I had to call out of work the next day because it was so hideous. I'm convinced he did it on purpose. I contacted the store manager. She had Abigail "correct" it and I had them refund me. PLEASE pay the extra money and go somewhere else. read more

I have been here twice the past few weeks. I realize that the service you get is dependent on the staff that is working that day. For the first time, we got really good service where the manager made sure we were attended to from the moment we stepped in. The second time we were there, everyone seemed less helpful. One lady was unable to use her $5 coupon because she missed the $15 part by 1 cent. The cashier just stood there and waited for the customer to decide if she was going to purchase the item without the discount. I suggested to her to get a 99 cent item that was on sale, so that she could make use of her coupon. The staff incorrectly told me that the items I pointed out were 5 for $5 instead. (They were already on sale for 99 cents each) Anyway, they finally directed the customer to other 99 cents items. read more

Avoid The Salon at all costs. The people there have NO clue what they're doing, and they'll just half-assed throw things together and hope that it looks the way the customer asked. Especially Chris. 20 years of experience, and supposed beauty shows, and he can't even get a lavender to white ombre right. Even after being show MULTIPLE pictures of what I was wanting. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance, showed him the color I wanted and the way I wanted it. He had to supposedly special order in the color that would be required to do it. A week later, I get called 4 hours before my appointment asking if I can come in early. I was ecstatic to be getting it done, let alone having the chance to go in early. I arrived at 2 in the afternoon and that is when we got started. We begin doing the lightening, coloring, the entire process. FIVE hours later, and my hair is an absolute disaster and is NOTHING like the pictures nor what I requested. My hair was absolutely botched and butchered. I ask for lavender, and it comes out blue. Straight up blue, with several patches of silver and green. The only explanation I get for the wrong color is that, "it'll fade and wash to lavender over time." Uh, yeah, no. Sure, it might fade. But I was not expecting to walk out with HALF my head being solid blue, while the other half is silver and green. After 5 hours of sitting in a chair, and $150 later, and my hair is a disaster. Now I have to go elsewhere and spend even more money in order to get my hair fixed, let alone colored the way it should have been colored to begin with. Lastly, my hair is in the worst condition it has ever been. The ends are splitting like crazy, and it is quite literally breaking and falling off in pieces whenever I try to brush it. It's completely dried out, has no nutrients left in it, and looks overall disgusting not just because of the color but the actual health of it, too. read more

Customer service is horrible. Trying to return an item my 86 year old father bought. At 86 one my misplace the receipt, you may not understand why they want a phone number. My father lost the receipt and he did not know to given them a phone number so now we have an item that he purchased by mistake because the when they helped him in the store even though he showed them a pic of what he was wanting to buy they gave him the wrong item. My favorite ulta in Tulsa! Everytime I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile and the associates that work over with the more prestigious brands seem to know their stuff. Their sales and rewards program is awesome and once you reach platinum status, you get extra points which have cash value toward purchases and exclusive offers that save you a lot of money. This is the only place I like to shop for high end and drugstore makeup. read more

Worse Customer Service EVER!!! My daughter (who wks in the cosmo field) and I were shopping and I observed at least 6 employees throughout the store, walking around interacting with other employees. I chose several items: a powder, a brush, a sm hair trimmer, an eyeliner and a perfume...all well over 200$+, and my daughter chose several items herself. When it was time to check out I saw several employees standing to the side of the counter, obviously waiting to check out however there was only one female at the register. The female was assisting a customer with a return which was obvi time consuming however when another female... supposedly a manager with a clipboard approached the registers, she went straight to the employees and helped them with their purchase and walked away. The entire experience was frustrating! Not a 'we will be with you in a moment', or a 'can I help you?' obvious the female with the clip board is NOT manager material and should rethink her career choice. My daughter and I left without making a purchase after standing in the line for approx 15 to 20 mins without assistance. ULTA needs to revamp its customer service techniques...until then, I nor my daughter will return again..or will my daughter advise her clients to shop there in the future. BOOOOOO ULTA!!! Went here and Megan cut my hair and it's amazing! Exactly what I wanted and worked with me on how I wanted. It's perfect! We took about 6-8 inches off and angled it and she blended so perfectly. I couldn't be more happy! read more

Today I went to ulta in search for a darker color foundation from the maybelline Fit me brand. I looked at ulta online and found it and it was not described as 'online only'. When I went to the store to ask an associate where the product was, she took me to the brand location in the store. When I looked I notice that there were none of the darker shades that I needed and asked her if ulta does not carry in store? The associate explained that Ulta only sales "the popular colors in store". Now I am a black woman and to be told that they only sale the "popular" colors was appalling. I am not sure to what she or Ulta refers to as "popular colors" and I am also baffled that this product is not sold in a "beauty" establishment. I was not offered a different brand that may have the color I need and not to mention that due to the color I need I have to search high and low to find it, when I saw that it was in stores ,at a beauty store, I was excited that I wouldn't have to make the hassle of traveling from store to store or ordering online and possibly getting the wrong color. I am very disappointed in Ulta beauty as an establishment that should be selling products to people of all shades of color no matter the location of the store. read more
